Are you allowed to wear shoes on the water slides? I have a pair of Merrill's water shoes but the lace up and look exactly like a sneaker so IDK if they would be allowed.

What does everyone else do? Is the ground not too bad? Buy water shoes? Wear flip flops and hold them down the slides?

Thanks.

We all have Keen sandals that are closed toe and look more like regular footwear than water shoes. We wear them on slides. No one has ever said anything. You need footwear, the concrete gets crazy hot.

I go barefoot at the waterparks, but DH prefers to wear swim shoes and DS wears swim sandals. Anything goes as long as it doesn't have any sharp buckles or eyelets that might damage the slides or another swimmer.

Interesting....the last few times they have made us take off our water shoes on all the slides. This was different from the past where you could wear water shoes. So I guess I don't know but will echo in the summer the concrete is very hot!

you shouldn't wear them on slides... there is a real chance of the rubber of the sole catching on a drier spot of the slide and really hurting you. Now the CM at the top MAY or MAY not stop you... but please don't. the family slide is ok since you are IN a raft.. I wear them and take them off and slide down holding
them.

just don't get hurt!!!

My boys and I wear Crocs at the water parks. I refuse to burn my feet again. You can wear shoes on everything except body slides. They are supposed to ask you to take them off for body slides because they can get caught. On those you just hold them as you go down. With our Crocs we often put or hands through the back straps, then even if you lose your grip they are basically attached to you and won't go anywhere. That way you don't have to chase them down at the bottom of the slide.
