Shoe size for 11 year old??????

Everyone in my family has big feet. My niece is 12 and wears a size 11 in womens. My brother is almost 6'5" and wears a size 16 shoe. Through most of his teen years his shoe size and age were the same.

WHAT is in that Similac?????

No Similac for Sarah. Sue nursed her to the ripe old age of 12 months. Probably Too Much Information for these boards.

My 8 year old ds just moved up to a men's sz 6. His sz 5's gave him blisters! My prediction is 6'2". Both dh and my families are mixed with tall ones and the vertically challenged (me!). I asked my dad a retired high school teacher and he has quite the stories of 5 foot freshman with sz 14 feet!! They always have a big growth spurt coming!

Jill -I have exactly the same problem. My 11 year old DS also wears a size 6 and they are next to impossible to buy. He also complains all the time that he has the smallest feet of all the boys in his class.

Oh well, he comes by it honestly - I only wear a size 4. I usually buy my shoes at Payless for Kids!

My DD11 is wearing a women's size 9. Her feet are bigger than mine!

3rd grade was the year she really went thru shoes. Started the year in like a 2 or 3 and finished the year in a 7-8::yes:: It was ridiculous buying shoes like every 6 weeks 'cause hers were too small. She's leveled off now and has been in 9s for a year now. I hope these feet don't grow anymore!

My ds is 6 and just upgraded to mens size 7. He's very upset he still can't get the cool kids shoes. My Dh is a size 17 so we expected it.

My 10 year old is in a men's 8. His dad only wore a 9!!!

A friend of mine whose son is in 7th grade wears a men's 13!!!

Dan...Personally, I think the shoe manufacturers are jipping us! In the past month I have had to buy one size up. :earseek: :(

My 12yo DD is wearing size 8 ladies. I wear a 6 so she outgrew my feet a few years ago. The worst is buying Dance shoes which of course she needs another pair  At least the kids sizes are priced a little better but adult sizes they aren't supposed to grow out of. I'm still taller than she is but I don't expect that to last much longer.

My 9yo DD is almost into my shoes but her feet haven't grown as quickly so I don't expect them to be as big as her sisters.

Ds who is 13 is in a 11.
Looks like we are going to have some tall guys:teeth:

My Michael who is 12 wears a size 10 in men's thank goodness Nordstrom just had there sale because he needed nice dress shoes. I hate the thought of him only gettting a short time wearing them, but he had to have them for school things and church. He's 5'4" and growing everyday, I swear every morning when he gets up he's taller.

which is bigger than anyone else in her family. She's always laughed and said "It takes strong roots to grow a sturdy tree." Just figure Michael won't blow over in a strong wind :cool2:

My son is 13 and wears a size fourteen shoe. He is also 6'0" and weighs about 190! I told him on more size and he buys his own!

My grand-daughter is 7 and wears a womens size 5. She is up to my shoulder and I am 5' 3" and weighs 78 pounds. Her dad is over 6 feet, so she takes after him. The 4 month old is 20 lbs and is over 26 inches, so guess she does too. She wears a 6 to 9 months. That miracle gro in the formula works great, LOL.

Pokie

I'm 5"1" and I wear a 6.5 to 7 woman's shoe. DD12 wears a youth 3 to 4 depending on the shoe (little feet, overall on the small size).

Our babysitter's daughter is turning 10 next week. She's about as tall as my DD and wears at least a woman's 7. Her mom said her own feet were always big growing up and that they stopped growing so the rest of her could keep up.

My dd also just turned 11 last week. She is about 5'2" and wears a ladies size 10. I wear a 9, so for a very short period, we were in the same size. It is really frustrating sometimes trying to find shoes appropriate for a kid when they are having to shop in ladies shoes. Hopefully, hers will stop growing now. I have noticed though, quite a few of her friends have larger feet too. I think children are just growing more nowadays (and not just their feet). Must be something in the food.

My oldest DS is 13 and is currently wearing an 11 1/2 but I think they are a little too small  We bought him new snowboarding boots that are size 13! He's got bigger feet right now at age 13 than any of the other men in our family - his dad and both of his grandpa's wear 10 1/2 - 11.

I knew there was a reason why we nicknamed him "baby sasquatch" when he was little

I hope Michael had a wonderful birthday, Robin.:)

Size 11.:earseek:

My dd will be 11 in March and wears a 5 (she can wear some 4's).

Michael had a great birthday, Shannon, thanks!

I am sooo glad to see that I'm not alone. Needless to say Michael was MORTIFIED that I posted this on the site. "MOM, you're talking about my FEET on the DIS?????".... bad mama, BAD mama! :p

I'm glad he had a great birthday.:)

LOL! Tell him it could be worse, you could be talking about his feet stinking or something.:p
