Shocking events in my street - Please pray for the victim

unbelievable yet believable. I just don't understand why or how anyone could do things like this. I really don't think scum like this could be rehabilitated. Here in Texas we have "permanent rehabilitation".

I am sure that the family would be encourage if they knew so many people were thinking of them and praying for them.

Unfortunatly the police are not telling us anything - they were reluctant even to tell us the little that we know. We have been led to believe that they have not yet caught anyone, the family have not been home ~ Scenes of Crime officers have now been working at the house for two days solid - they left last night at 7.30, when I arrived home from work the front of the house from the guttering to the pavement was covered in black plastic! I have wondered if the lady suffered serious injuries as I am not sure if they would take so long processessing the scene, there is still a 24hr police presence.

We live in Barking, Essex. Much to my immediate neighbours annoyance I have started putting my burglar alarm on at night again, we stopped cos they complained about the 20/30 seconds buzzing (when you set the alarm)disturbing them when my husband came home late at night or went out early in the morning (he works shifts - earlies, lates, days and nights) but as far as I am concerned they make enough noise so its tough if they don't like the alarm disturbing them. I often come back to the house with the children around 9.30/10 ish depending on eldest DS training schedule, this has obviously made me quite nervous. I have an electrician coming this weekend to fit a security light at the back of the house - something that we have spoken of having done for a while now.

As for your alarm - it only makes sense to use it and the light is a good idea too.

Must be horrible to have all this activity on your doorstep.

Shame that it becomes necessary to add alarms etc.

How awful.. I lose faith in humanity when I hear of things like this.
IMO rapists and paedophiles should have their unmentionables cut off as punishment.

From the way you describe the scenes of crime being there for two solid days and a scene gusrd in place it sounds like one or both of them died
