How awful I am sending prayers to the family, I can't believe that this kind of thing still happens in a supposed "civilised" world.

Agreed. This is completely disgusting...

Some people are just far worse than animals (animals tend not to be that sick/nasty)... People who do this sort of thing should be locked up and they should throw away the key - safer for all of us.

It's times like this when "prisoners rights" and "rehabilitation" mean absolutely nothing - a grungy cell and a bowl of porridge a day is more leniency than someone who would do something like that deserves...
