Shipwreck Beach question

Hey guys,
Question. Anyone know if you can have a mini-reception/lunch on Shipwreck Beach with an Escape Wedding?
I was almost positive I had read that, but wasn't sure.
Any info would be helpful!

It may be possible now that Disney is more open to planning private events for Escape couples, but, just to warn you, it has a $1,000 food and beverage minimum and requires a $3,000 "event support" package of tents, electrical connections, etc.

I'm having an Escape as well, and I thought that Shipwreck Beach would be really wonderful yet casual. I almost died when I saw how much it was going to cost (as lurkeyloo posted above). I think we are going to stick to just taking pictures there now

Our coordinator informed us that we cannot use that location unless we are having a Wishes wedding. So I guess that idea is gone, anyway!
