Hello,
I've seen people mentioning shipping things ahead of time to WDW. I'd like to ship some things ahead of time. How do you do this?

We did this last year when staying at WL. We shipped a cardboard banker's box of diapers, pull-ups, kid snacks, juice boxes, etc. Shipping only cost about $10. Package arrived about 3 days before us and it was waiting for us upon our arrival at check-in. Worked like a charm and saved valuable luggage space.

we just dropped off a box to be shipped to the Poly yesterday. :) We packed up diapers, wipes, sunscreen, our ponchos, some toiletries and a few toys and some nonperishable snacks (cereal bars, pop tarts, fruit snacks etc). The box was like 18" long, 12" wide and 10" high and fit everything perfectly. It cost around $8.00 to ship down there.

Call your resort ahead of time and find out how they would like for you to address the package. Mine was addressed something like

HOLD FOR GUEST Lollipop Mom
Disney's Polynesian Resort
Poly Address
Orlando, FL

and then had "guest Lollipop Mom arriving 10/14" and my confirmation # written in the corner.

The CM at the Poly recommended that I either use a product box or let my kids decorate the box. She said that she recommended that so that when I check in I can say "we shipped a package ahead and need to pick it up. It's the Sony TV box - or - it's the box with the child's drawing of the castle on it." That hopefully that will make it easy to spot and get to us quickly. :) I packed everything up and printed out a FedEx Ground label online then let my kids put Mickey stickers all over it. I just taped over several of them with clear tape to make sure they don't come off. :)

Thanks for the info. I need to ship my halloween costume as Mrs. Potts is HUGE and I can't give up the precious suitcase space for her!

Great idea to ship ahead... however, if I needed to ship back is that an option?

i am thinking about doing this too-

as i am slowly placing things in my " bathroom" bag i am realizing we are not going to make it 4 people and 2 bags and 2 checked....

I just finished packing my box to send to myself. We have been buying toys all year so there are quite a few of them. I think I may ship a separate box with food and other misc things that will be cumbersome for the flight there. I am so glad I found the tip about making your box different from the others. Thanks!

I've also done this with netgrocer.com before. I ordered diapers, wipes, juice, baby food, disposable bibs, etc and had it delivered to the hotel for me. It was quite nice and I never had to leave my desk.
