Shipping Packages to Resort Too Early?

Hi Disfriends!

I have shipped packages from home to Pop Century in the past, and it worked wonderfully. I am due to arrive at AS Sports on 8/11. I am taking a quick trip to visit DS in another state starting later today and getting home at the end of this week. I shipped two boxes for our trip to WDW today, because I was worried it would be too late to ship them by the time I arrived home from visiting DS. To my surprise, when I went to the UPS store with my two boxes, UPS let me know that they would arrive at AS Sports by 8/2. I asked if there were any "slower" options, and UPS said that there were no slower options.

So, should I be worried that my boxes are arriving too early (9 days) before our check in day? I guess there isn't much I can do at this point, but I just thought I would see if other Dis folks have had experience with their stuff arriving well in advance of their arrival day?

I clearly labeled both boxes with my name, my arrival date, and my confirmation number...I hope that helps?

That is pretty early. Whenever I've shipped to the resort, I ship out one week before arrival so it gets there 2-3 days before.

UPS ground takes up to 5 business days to arrive, depending on what state it ships from and what state it will arrive to.

Twice I ordered items that were delivered more than a week before our arrival at a Disney resort. One was 2’x1’ but thin and arrived 11 days before us and the other was a small package that arrived 29 days before us. In both case the resort held them. While I agree that 9 days is longer than the usual timeframe, it is not excessive, as long as the boxes aren’t huge. Let us know!

Watch the tracking, and take a screenshot showing when your packages are delivered to the hotel.

If your packages are sitting there for awhile, they might end up behind and/or under packages which are delivered later.

I have been told that my package wasn't there. When I pulled up the screenshot to show that my package was, in fact, delivered to the hotel, they went back and looked harder, and found my package.

@Best Aunt....ooohhh...that's really good advice. Thank you! I will keep an eye on my tracking from UPS, and I will definitely take a screen shot when my boxes arrive.
