Shipping goods to Disney....

We are flying to Disney on May 8th and spending a few days at BWV. On the 11th, we are leaving on the Disney Fantasy for 7 days. I want to ship some things to our resort so we can pack light for the flight. Here are some things I was thinking about shipping.

Coffee Filters
Coffee
Snorkeling Equip for 2 (Masks, fins, etc.)
Wine
Shoes

Here is my issue. I think I will be ok mailing it to the resort. How can I mail it back if we are heading to the airport from the port?

Also, will the hotel hold my package until we arrive at no charge?

They will hold it for no charge, we ship to the hotel all the time.

I am not sure about after the cruise...sorry

The only time I shipped things down was a large 45 Lb box of items to leave in our Owners Locker. Since we were leaving the items there I have no idea how you'd get the same items shipped home if you don't have a car to go to a UPS shipper. Maybe you could take a taxi to a local vendor and back on your last day? I believe that most of the Bell Services will hold your box for free as long as it's not a convention property. Then I think they charge to hold it. I was told to be sure to mark the box somewhere with the name of the person on the reservation along with the arrival date & ressie confirmation #. I am not sure that shipping those few items that you mentioned are worth the hassle VS just packing / checking an extra bag.

OBW your resort will charge a handling fee for your box. Anytime you ship to a resort that is a convention center ( CSR, BWV) the package goes to the business center which is not run by Disney and that company charges a $10.00 handling fee.

So you might be better off just bringing the stuff on the plane by the time you pay to ship and the Disney handling fee you might be paying more than a luggage fee.

There is a sticky at the top of the resort board about shipping to your resort. Some resorts do charge a fee; if they are a convention resort.

For shipping home, you can obtain assistance from the resort store or concierge desk.

You may want to bring a flat rate box home from the USPS to ship home.

The OP probably wouldn't be able to fit all of these items (less the wine of course) in a flat rate box.

OP, it's actually pretty expensive to ship a large box of items. You might do better just paying to check another bag on your flight (if you have to pay checked bag fees).

We don't have to pay for bags so I think everyone is right. I think I should just pack an extra bag! Thanks guys!

We flew SWA (2 bags free per person x 4 people = plenty of baggage space to spare) and packed a huge suitcase full of snacks, in our case. And I had a case of water shipped from Costco to the resort for about $8. Should have ordered two! Port Orleans didn't charge a handling fee.
