Has anyone shipped their FE gifts to DCL prior to the cruise? I'm concerned about packing my gifts. Our exchange is now over 30 which makes for a lot of items to be packed. I'd hate to ship them and have them not be there. Any experience in this??

I've had no problems whatsoever. On my last cruise in September, I had one box shipped to one stateroom and another to a different stateroom. They were both in their perspective room when we got access to the cabins on embarkation day. Just make sure you know the guidelines on the box size/weight and the correct way to address it, and you should be fine.

Have a great cruise!! :goodvibes

I shipped our FE gifts to DCL prior to our 4/25 cruise. The package was in our stateroom before our luggage was! :)

I shipped mine! It was in our stateroom right away! (before our luggage too) Just make sure you address the package EXACTLY how it is written.

I shipped mine in November, no problems, and I plan on shipping again in for our Aug cruise. We had 2 cabins, so I was able to ship a box to each. They were in our room way before the luggage. Just follow the directions on the FAQ thread exactly, and you should have no issues!

Just be sure there is no FOOD or beverage in it. Nothing that COULD alert the 'sniffer dogs'.

We usta, coudda include food/candy, but they've changed the screening process for these packages and if anything alerts the dogs it will DELAY boarding.

I had considered shipping mine til I read on here about the food. I have some candy items-each prepackaged, but it says no food, so I guess I need another suitcase!

I shipped all my FE gifts minus the candy. It still saved a lot of room in my suitcase. The box wasn't full after putting in the FE gifts so I shoved our 2 pairs of water shoes in there too! :thumbsup2

I am relatively new to this board......so a question......
What are FE Gifts?:confused3

I looked under the abbreviation section and FE is Fish Extender???:confused3:confused3

Thanks-

Fish Extenders. They are like little shoe type holders (bought or homemade) and hung from the fish outside of your door. A FE exchange is created on the DisMeet thread for your cruise date. People then make or buy lil gifts to be put into the FE sometime during the cruise. There are several threads with ideas and pictures.

Thanks for asking this question, I was thinking the same thing, but we are leaving for Disney on Monday, the 13th, a few days BEFORE OUR CRUISE!:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

The only way to mail stuff back is to take it to the nearest Post Office when you disembark the ship. You'll have to get to the Post Office on your own though.

I've been thinking the same thing as the list keeps growing and I keep changing my items. I can't believe how much time I spend thinking about this.
