SHHHHH!!!!! It's A Surprise Wedding!!!

Well everyone, thanks for hanging in there, we made it through August. :cool1:

23 days and coutning...(Just about every freakin second):hourglass

Anyway, to all of the "Lurkers" thanks for joining us on this adventure...it's been a wild ride so far...I would certainly expect some wild surprises to come...I have been in touch with Cruise Concierge for some "Special" requests...I hope they can make them happen...But I'm not telling until they say OK;)

I counted...Yes I am a guilty cruise-a-holic...and a forever over planner. Yes very much a Type A and no I am not going to therapy...The docs are more insane than the patients trust me...:scared1:

So, if I haven't already mentioned it my mom (who my family refers to as "The Prophet" (no dosrespect meant)), arrives in 18 days and the cleaning mode is in effect...Not that the house is dirty by any means, but when the mom arrives, it's a differnet expectation...You know what I mean...

have a safe holiday weekend, enjoy, eat, drink and be merry...and drink more (just don't drive)...

So... Was Steve Capporizzo YOUR weatherman too???? :woohoo:

Name is not familiar at all. We lived in Rensselaer County from 1967-1970 and then again from 1972-1986---:rotfl: :rotfl: in the "ancient times"!!
Steve Capporizzo might not have even been BORN then!
Jan :earsgirl:

He may have been in diapers then... but he's been here for at least 15 + years... may have been an intern when you were here...

We now return you to the wedding.... :cloud9:

My husband and I renewed our wedding vows for our 25th anniversary on the Disney Wonder, March 17, 2006 while in Nassau. The captain officiated the ceremony and our children, some family and friends also attended. We planned it for about 18 months with 'Cathy', our land coordinator and 'Enrico' our sea coordinator. We had a private reception at Palo's and also had gifts for everyone who joined in our celebration.
There are other surprises courtesy of Disney, but I won't spoil it for you... Maybe we'll see ya at the port as we will be disembarking on Sept. 23rd. It will be our 3rd Disney cruise in 8 months...

I checked the station's website and found:
"Steve Caporizzo was named NEWS10's Chief Meteorologist in December 1989. Prior to his arrival in Albany, he was named chief meteorologist at both WABI-TV in Bangor, ME and WWLP-TV in Springfield, MA prior to joining WTEN. He has also worked for dozens of radio stations throughout New York and New England over the years. "
So, he came after we left. Mystery solved.

Back to weddings! Looking forward to hearing more!

I've been so inspired by Joel that I've been getting the bug. Our 20th anniversary is about 10 days after our son will graduate from highschool in June of 2010. I've been waiting for the 2009 prices and itineraries to come out, but have been thinking maybe we should wait until 2010 to do a combo trip. Hmmmm.......your post has me thinking!:cloud9:

How lucky that you've been on 3 cruises in 8 months!:flower3:

Joel, We're wishing you a mellow few weeks leading up to the day! Enjoy this time and the moment! We'll be thinking about all of you and sending you love and pixiedust!

Well, give him time to recover and I'm sure that Joel can fill in as your "wedding coordinator"

Just think FRANKE from Father of the bride...;)

it seems as though I'll have the pleasure of sharing the Wonder at the same time (no bribe requests coming from me). If I'd happen to pass by I'll be sure to congratulate or a sly wink, if not, I"ll be sure to join in with some M&M's and a toast with a bottle of Coke.

Best Wishes Joel.

I LOVED Franke! Now I'm totally in! But we need all you funny people as the supporting cast! We can call it my renewal, Joel's (Franke's) 2nd anniversary cruise.......I can see it now! Dom, M & M's, multiple Tinks! :cool1:

I found your post about a month ago and didn't subscribe then. Found it again tonight and totally hooked. Can't wait to read more. One question though - what characters are you thinking about? Classic- Mickey & Minnie or something else?

Multiple Tinks huh????

I don't know if he can handle all of us...

We do have a reputation... :rolleyes1

What did we get??? :confused3

Oh yes, the Wedding Documents have arrived. Well, actually yesterday. Everything is confirmed...:woohoo:

Delivered in a very nice folder, with all of the arrangements listed. Should make a nice addition to my DW scrapbooking collection...

So, with a little sigh and some pressure lifted (not much, but a little)...We inch ever so close to getting on with this shindig!!!:hourglass

The "out of towners" are slowly getting more and more excited about the trip, but noy are they in for some surprises...:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

so, we are at 18 days until we sail and 20 until the wedding...We received the name of our onboard contact and the "Offiicial" Disney time for the wedding is:

Date: Tuesday, September 25, 2007
Time: 10:00am
Location:Beach at Castaway Cay

So, we're holding our breath that the last 18 days flows as well as the rest of this time has...

'm sorry I didn't answer that question...

Yes, it's true - What would a Disney Wedding be without the whole reason for any of us being so addicted attending. So, we asked for Mickey

And for the kids, Cinderella and Goofy...

I have to say I was a little hesitant about inviting a "Princess" to the wedding, but I already have my Queen, so who wants a princess anyway? :lmao:

Besides, I'm really looking forward to seeing the expression on my daughter's face when Cinderella walks in...It will be one of those priceless moments that you couldn't put a price tag on...

Couldn't get Tink to show??? Ok... I'll forgive!!!

Cindy's coming, huh??? Cool!!!

20 more days to the Cristal? I don't think I could wait that long!!!

Glad to hear things are going great!

It's Disney... relax!!!

Mickey's showing up without a date??? Minnie must have a spa appointment....

Goofy's comming- Joel, I thought we were locking Mozart up so as to not spoil things:lmao:

Joel wants characters at his wedding, remember? What could be a cooler character than an 18th century Austrian composer?

Besides, have you seen Amadeus? I'll be the life of the party.

Mozart: are you a lover of classical music? Is that why your name of Mozart is used?

Mozart: are you a lover of classical music? Is that why your name of Mozart is used?

Not classical music in general, though I have always liked Mozart's music in particular. It's very fiery and passionate. In most classical, I can't really feel the emotion of the composer going into his music, but with his you can.

In all reality, though, it comes from when I was trying to think of a name for one of our dogs. I thought Mozart would be a really cool thing to name a dog. Then, when I needed a screenname, it sounded like a cool thing to use for that too.
