SHHHHH!!!!! It's A Surprise Wedding!!!

I just read all 10 pages! :surfweb: It was a good read. :thumbsup2 I'm really excited for you, Joel, and your DW! Oh, and the kids. And after your family learns the exciting news, I'm excited for them too!!! :grouphug:

We're sailing right after you! When I'm in panic mode September 25th thinking of all the things I have to do and pack, I'll send some pixiedust: your way and raise my cup of coffee to you (I will be at work at the time of your wedding, after all!)

:hippie:

I told my DS about this and he worried that your family would see this if they found this board.
I think it's a terrific idea and can't wait to see if you pulled it off, you sure have worked hard on it!

Won't be long now! Sending a bag of pixie dust that everything will go JUST as you've planned!

:woohoo:

I also noticed that some of you are from Massachusetts...Where at? I grew up on the North Shore...

Hope all os well with everyone and I'll talk to youthis week.

North Shore..... now living in Wakefield...

But have lived in such towns as, Middleton, Danvers and so on.

Peter

I spent many years on the North Shore, I grew up in Saugus...I do miss the small town atmosphere that yu relly don't get here in Orlando. I remember Hilltop and Kawloon and of course Kelly's down the beach...Oh the memories..I really do miss it. I don't know if I miss route 1 traffic, but I do miss the "old neighborhood."

But anyway, only 28 days until the big surprise is unleashed...Who would have thought that we could go this long? My mom arrives in 21 days for a "pre-cruise" rest. And we are having all of the "cruisers" at our home on Saturday night for a BBQ and Beer...Should be a nice way to send us all off.

Just sitting here counting the hours, minutes and seconds away...

My wife is going to kill me....I decided to call the DCL Concierge line and arrange for some liitle things for the cruise...But, leave it to me to just completely overstep my budget, common sense and a little reality...

I thought when I asked for some "Disney Characters" to show up at the reception I was out of my mind...But, nonetheless I just pre-ordered a bottle of champage for our dinner at Palo...

Can anyone say...CRISTAL - what the hell am I thinking? Someone please pull me in and tell me to STOP....I think I need therapy.:confused3

Anyway, i have to tell you that the young lady I spoke with was an absolute delight...took care of everything, including DVDs for the kids in the suite and cases of water for our guests...I love cruising DCL.

You're thinking " I'm only marrying the love of my life once" - well in your case twice- but to the rest of the family -once:lmao: .

Joel, I just can't wait till you've posted the after the cruise notes- I wish you the best- ta heck with the budget- make this the time of your life.:thumbsup2

I wish you and your family the best most magical time of your lives.

Please promise to post some details after you get back- quickly.

You are CRAZY :scared1: I would kill my husband....LOL....I can't say a thing, I am setting up our vow renewal with Cathy at this moment and I can't tell you how tempted I am to ask for some characters to come in. We have about 9 kids coming with the group and I know that they would be thrilled....not to mention I would just be in heaven also!!!!

Also, we get the consierge service, so I am going to be certain to have a hair appt., a spa appt with the RASUL and private villa thing (:rolleyes1 ) and Palo for the dinner and also for the brunch.....you are only married for 20 years once after all.....well, most people.

Still enjoying your reports....keep them coming.

:

I lived in Lynn from 1998-1999. When we moved there, we rolled in to town around 9 pm and wound up on Rte 1! :scared1: :scared1: I quickly learned to master that but man, you better hit it going 70+ mph or WATCH OUT!! I miss Boston so much!!!!

Wow! I've been lurking since page three and I am hooked! DH and I will be celebrating 20 years in 2010. This is sounding like a fantastic idea... only I wouldn't want my family there (can't take them out in public without them doing something stupid or embarrassing or both). I would just invite a few close friends and all the DISers!
We are so excited for you and will try to patiently wait for pics and TR. At the appropriate time and date, I will raise my bottle of coke and toast the bride and groom. Oh, and I'll yell "surprise!!" for Moms birthday party, too!:rotfl2:
Best of luck to all of you... the next couple of weeks are going to FLY by so quickly!

Wow somebody sure likes their champagne. I wouldn't know one from the other.

It's easy.

When Mozart walks up to you, if he drinks it and asks for more, it's the good stuff. If he drinks it and says "Well, it's got alkihol in it," it's Brut by Korbel.

Cristal, huh? Did I ever tell you that guys named Joel are really, really, really cool?

Or another way to look at it is...guess you won't be needing that Dom now, will you?

.....
But I did tell me DW that I would marry her 12 times a year of she wanted to...

So sweet!!

38 years ago DH said he did not want to GET married, he wanted to BE married. He still thinks one wedding is enough. He says he did it and it lasts forever. But if you would like to do it over again, he is fine with that, as long as he does not have to.

Jan :earsgirl:

He's BACK!!! :cool1: :cool1:

(I take it the tranquillizers have kicked in??? Ok... Maybe the JD....)

Good to see you're back and packing yourselves silly!!!

& Don't worry... Mozart is IN the cabinet with the Dom....

(Not from MA...but I've been to the Vineyard a few times...) (Ex. Jersey Girl here...)

Ex Jersey girl living in NY now--Where? I am an ex-upstater living in Indy now. I have been to MA several times--Boston, Plymouth, Cape, and we lived 6 miles from the border of VT-MA-NY in NY for 14 years. Does that count? We went to North Adams and Williamstown a lot.....

LindaBabe--we lived 9 months in East Greenbush--is that close to you?
Jan :earsgirl:

I'm in Glenville - Scotia/Glenville... not sure what town I live in actually... I pay my taxes to one town and my water to another!!!

Left Jersey because it got expensive and the traffic is WORSE than MA.... :headache:

Joel...

Pack the Korbel Brut... and a plastic glass for Mozart... and a straw... one of those with an umbrella around it... & leave the Dom home... well, at least in your cabin....

I spent the entire day (at work, on and off) reading your story...I would love to renew our vows on our 10th anniversary at WDW, but DH is such a mushy guy...He cried through our wedding (on a cruise ship, but not Disney) that I don't think that I could get him to do it again!:rotfl:

Yup--across the river from East Greenbush! We were there 9 months. Before that we lived in Petersburgh--take Rt 2 east out of Troy, go past Grafton State Park, cross Rt 22 and there you are!! We were there 14 years.
I grew up in Whitesboro, near Utica and went to Russell Sage College for 3 years. DH went to RPI. Then he worked while I finished school in Brooklyn at SUNY Downstate and then I worked at Albany Memorial Hospital while he did his graduate work at RPI.
