Very nice! Hope you have a fabulous vacation! :dance3:
:wave2:

Luv-Glad your move went well, and you're getting settled. It must be such fun to be so close to WDW!:thumbsup2

Jenny-Enjoy your dinner at Boma. Yum! Very nice you're getting lots of pool time, too. It's fun to zip around the parks, but it's also great to just relax a bit. :cloud9:

Pixarmom-I totally agree with you about the BWI clown pool looking scary in photos, in person, it's really not. I've always thought it looks sort of a combination of funny and silly in person.
When we've been at the pool there are lots of kids, and they don't seem to bothered by it in the least. One other thing about that pool, the times I've been there the CM's seem to offer plenty of fun games, etc for the kids. They look like they are having a blast.:yay:

JC-Happy travels, and best wishes for a lovely vacation! :dance3:

Kook-Love the updates with what's new at WDW. :goodvibes

Janet-I hope your daughter is having lots of fun in marching band. :cool1:

It's not long until we will be at BWI....and the to-do lists are getting longer. Yikes! I plan to get busy this weekend and whittle down the lists. :thumbsup2

:wave2:Hope the RCers have a great weekend!!

Okay, I totally don't think it's a coincidence that last year when I made my ticker it was exactly 7 months, and it was again today!

I AM SO STOKED!!!:yay:

Yay for a spring vacation!!!!

Hi ladies!

We put in another full day at HS....10 hours! I swear the kids are like energizer bunnies! We were going to go to Fantasmic , did the dining pkg, but then made a game time decision to come back to swim instead. :goodvibes. The girls really wanted some pool time, and DH wisely reminded me that getting out after the show could be difficult for everyone...:headache:

And I met another Diser at the Poly pool, who I met on our Polynesian September thread so that was very neat!:goodvibes. Anyhow...AK tomorrow and Boma for dinner. I think it will be a late start to the day, with some swimming in the morning.

Miss and Sarah: our reservations are for 6:30 on Thurday, should we shoot for around 6:00? Looking forward to seeing you!

Hi to everyone else...and welcome to the new faces!

Another wonderful day!!!

Natalie - dole whips at Captain Cooks are on our list too! I think I am going to head there for lunch or dinner on our MK day so we dont have to do two counter service in the park.

Dani - tickers don't show up on the dis boards app so spill it! What did you book and when?

Jenny - sounds like a great day. I am trying to gear up for more pool time this trip. It is going to be hot and I know the kids will want to swim in SAB. This is our fourth year in a row to go so I keep reminding myself we don't have to do everything. Relaxing by the pool is fine! I wonder if wifi works out there?

We leave two weeks from tomorrow! I can't believe it! Jenny inspired me to make a few tshirts so I need to get that done. The weather seems to be cooler here so I can probably start packing! So excited!

Only 2 weeks .... so exciting!

I want to wish our sweet Jungle Cruiser safe travels and a fantastic time at WDW!

$399 Premium Annual Passes for DVC Members!

Leah Zanolla | Posted: Sep 12, 2012 | Updated: Sep 12, 2012

Members of the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) timeshare program will be the recipients of a great new perk beginning October 1. On a video posted on the DVC website this morning, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Claire Bilby, announced a new discount available from October 1 to December 31, 2012. For just $399, DVC members can purchase a Walt Disney World Premium Annual Pass. The normal price of these passes is $699, so that's a savings of $300 (DVC members normally pay $559 for a Premium Annual Pass, so it's still a substantial savings). A Premium Annual Pass allows access to all four theme parks, plus both water parks, Disney Quest Indoor Interactive Theme Park, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course and free parking.

Passes aren't activated until they have been used for the first time, so take advantage of this deal while it's being offered even if your current annual pass hasn't expired. For DVC members to renew a regular annual pass, it is $385, so for $14 more, you would get the extra benefits a premium annual pass offers over a regular annual pass. DVC members have until December 31, 2013 to activate these passes.

After October 1, DVC members will also get 10% off merchandise at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney's Aulani Resort & Spa, Disney's Vero Beach Resort, and Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort.

All checked in at YC, we were upgraded to water view!!!!!

Omg. That's an awesome deal. We aren't DVC owners though. My girlfriend thinks we should go listen to the spiel but I feel like I have to stay away from it! I know I would be VERY tempted.

well hey there stranger!

Quick update, our room smelled musty upon arrival (our bellman noticed it right away) housekeeping came in while we were at Epcot. Got back and still smelled so I did what the bellman suggested and called the front desk and asked to be moved. No problem at all, moved from the 2nd floor up to the 4th, now back to a wedding gazebo view, but also and AWESOME view of Crescent Lake! Room smelled 100 times better too!!!

After a quick dry off from the rain and a little unpacking an hopped onto a bus (waiting at the bus stop) to MK. Only one other family on the bus with us :) MK is pretty crowded, but still doable!

Melissa, glad they took care of this right away and that the view is still great!

Oh a live report .... I love it!!!! :thumbsup2

Now that I've resolved an RC dilemma, I'll report it and ask for confirmation! Checked Poly rates for our MNSSHP night and turns out that Poly CL is just $34 more than our current CR Tower-Bay Lake View. I seriously considered a change, but decided to stay with CR because it's new to us, boys have always wanted to try it, can walk "home" from MNSSHP, the view of Bay Lake seems wonderful and we're staying at Poly in January. But would appreciate hearing good things about CR just to help me stay put. :)

Quick hello to all! :goodvibes What's everyone been up to this weekend?

Cleaned up around the house so the woman who watches our mutt won't go insane walking through the front door. :crazy2: Took all the extra junk outta the Baggallini -- which then makes room for more junk I can stuff into it at Disney. :thumbsup2

Hi ladies!
Miss and Sarah: our reservations are for 6:30 on Thurday, should we shoot for around 6:00? Looking forward to seeing you!

6:00 sounds great, I'll mark it down on my spreadsheet! :teacher: Looking forward to meeting all of you. :)

...

Janet and DetTigsGal: How'd the marching band performances go?! popcorn::

Deena: Glad you're back! :woohoo: Yay for going to the Halloween party. Was it packed or nice and easy going crowd-wise?

Melissa: Woot on the upgrade and for them making the situation right with the room. :thumbsup2 Can't wait to hear your take on the resort. popcorn::

Pixar: If it were my ressie, I'd stay put for the party. Being able to "walk home" is a huge perk. (We almost stayed at CR just for the party ... and to leg it back afterward.) :goodvibes The buses definitely weren't my favourite part of the evening last year after the party. :scared:

Hi everyone! Wishing Sarah safe travels too! :goodvibes.

Ok....today was not our best day so far! :crazy2: We decided to take it slow this morning and not rush to AK, but when we did get to the bus stop it was almost an HOUR wait for an AK bus!:furious: it was to the point where we debated staying at the Poly, or just going to MK for the day again. (I have decided that MK is my favorite happy place.:lovestruc...then Epcot where we are going tomorrow. ).

Then finally a bus comes and it is freakin packed!! :(Our DD's were exhausted before we even got to the park! So the day was going a bit better, but then it started pouring! Not a huge deal but we were poncho less, so we all got soaked through. We decided to go to AKL early for our dinner at Boma, and they were great about letting us eat a hour early.

About 3/4 way into eating, DD8 says she can't stomach anything, the smells are making her nauseous and she may throw up. So Boma was a bit of a bust, we hustled out before eating even one zebra dome!

Anyway, back in the room now, relaxing...may go to the pool. Hoping tomorrow is better....gotta take the bad with the good right?:confused3

Oh, and we have also decided after this trip probably no more dining plan for us. Too much food. We are grazers all day, and these big meals are making us feel a little sluggish to say the least!:upsidedow

This trip just keeps expanding! :crazy2: I was watching America's Got Talent (PVRd) with my DS 16 when BLUE MAN GROUP came on....DS16 quips "I've always wanted to see them!!" well......he's 16, we'll be IN UNIVERSAL, who knows when The opportunity will present itself again??? FUN TICKETS ORLANDO has 40% off limited time tier 1&2 offer ($46 per ticket VS $90 reg price) :confused3 hmmm, what's a mom to do????
:thumbsup2 BOOK of course!!! :faint: it's never been something I've particularly understood (blue/non talking people) but it seems to get rave reviews! So I'm taking a chance......and DS16/ DS20 should at least enjoy it! Our arrival night at UNIVERSAL (THUR OCT 4) now includes us attending the 8pm show ::yes:: I hope I enjoy it!!!!!

Aw. Hoping tomorrow goes better!! Sorry DD didn't feel good. We are dealing with a similar experience today after a day of apple picking, hayrides and our local Greek festival....lots of food and DD5 was not feeling good at all.

I hear you on the dining plan. We are excited to go without it on our next trip, and only making a few TS ADRs :woohoo:

TGIF Peeps!! :cool1: :wave2:

First, happy trails to Melissa, Miss and Sarah! :yay: Safe travels to you all (Melissa we all wish we had your short drive :))

And :welcome: to ready2vacation!! Between you and disneydreaming247 (our own Dani)... your DIS names express how we feel all the time!! ::yes:: R2V ... you are in good company with these fine ladies!

Dani: April??? That's great!! (but then no August, right?? :()

Marie: Excellent ADR change to the Yachtsmans ...we have not eaten there, but my sis has and she raved about it!! :thumbsup2

Jenny: Bet the girls loved being part of the Belle experience!! :woohoo: Any pictures?? :)

GG: :yay: for 5 more days!! Any resort picks yet??

:goodvibes Hope your DS competition tomorrow goes well [and of course tonight.] Is this his first year?? Does he really love it?? I here you are quite married to the band for about 5 mos .... :)

My DD is a 9th grader and is in a Friday night Footband band (playing at home games only.) Its in the 2nd season, traditionallly our school district only offered the competition marching band. Figured that the school introduced this less extensive option, to give more kids the experience witht the hopes they step up the following year. And all competition band members are in the Friday night band as well. My DD had a minicamp for one week; I know the competition band started practice in June!! I really hopes she takes it to the next level in 10th grade. :)

:rotfl2: Miss you never fail to crack me up ..... needed some laughs after the past 2 days ... :)

stay away from it .... we LOVE primetime and had 2 great meals with a helping of good old fashioned fun by our waiters!! :goodvibes Think only positive thoughts!!

Hi to all!!

Yes, it will mean no summer trip if we go in the Spring. Decisions, decisions.

Natalie - dole whips at Captain Cooks are on our list too! I think I am going to head there for lunch or dinner on our MK day so we dont have to do two counter service in the park.

Dani - tickers don't show up on the dis boards app so spill it! What did you book and when?

Nothing is booked yet, but I'm looking at doing DxDDP for 8 nights at AoA, and then the rest at Poly.

All checked in at YC, we were upgraded to water view!!!!!

Yay for an upgrade! Boo for a stinky room. :crazy2: Glad everything was resolved though! :thumbsup2

Well, I've avoided this thread for a long time because I truly thought I had my resort changing addiction under control, but it turns out I was in complete denial. I seriously need some professional intervention, so here I am. I don't even know where I started with this reservation since I've changed dates and resorts so many times, so I will just tell you what it is in its most current form. We (me, dh, dd6 and dd1) are booked for a split stay from 9/21-10/1, with the first 4 nights at BWI and last 6 at WL. I've been keeping my eye on the weather forecast (I know, I know, it is way too far out to pay attention to that) and accuweather.com is calling for a lot of rain for the middle 5 days of our trip. Now I'm looking at changing our trip to October. We have flights booked for September, but it would be a lot more expensive to fly in October, so we'd probably just bank our money in southwest funds and drive in October. That would mean we'd have about one less day in the parks and 2 less nights at the resorts, BUT on the upside, our trip would fall over my daughter's October break, so she would be out of school 2 less days. We could book a split stay at BC (my daughter's favorite resort) and WL with an AP discount, and although the nightly rates will be higher, we will save money by driving and staying at Disney 2 less nights. Also, I know September crowds are generally lower, but there is so much more resort availability that week of October (up until the weekend hits) than there is the week in September. Ahhh, I don't know if I should change or not!

A group of us saw it at the Venetian in Vegas - some loved (I mean LOVED) it and others thought it was a little loud/strange. I was kind of in the middle, but there are parts where I literally laughed hysterically. Can't wait to hear how you liked it - (oh my, I'm laughing right now just picturing parts...) And your sons will love it!
