I so agree with your thoughts about how nice the RCers are, truly lovely group of friends!

Janet B- thought of you today. My son, sophomore in hs- is in marching band - plays the mellophone- and tonite is the first football game of the year and tomorrow is the first competition of the season. Let the craziness begin - ok they have been rehearsing since July, but this is new craziness :)

:) DH and I ate lunch with my my cranky DD (10 months) at Fulton's at DTD today. After I inhaled my food before she had a meltdown, my DH and I decided that we would ask Grandma and Grandpa to keep the baby in February or March and we would fly down to the WL for a long weekend. SO, that means we'll probably do the Poly in September or November with DD instead of WL. :goodvibes

Miss My new January dates are the 7th thru 26th!!! DD decided to fly in so I had to the days. Flights for both of us booked/changed. Of course I have no where to stay after the 13th .... guess I better work on that!!! :rotfl2:

Sounds like a good idea! :thumbsup2 What's in the running? popcorn::

LET THE CRAZY PACKING BEGIN!!!!! :)

Will Catch up with everyone in a bit!

*throws Melissa some extra packing cubes*

I am $300 closer to getting back to Disney!!! (Made a payment today) :rotfl2:

Yay for payments! :goodvibes

Good morning ladies! :wave2:

Seriously. Target is a dangerous store. I've looked at our extended forecast. I know not to pay it too much credence. Looks like we've got 40% chance of T-storms all next week. :faint: I'm hoping that's just the normal "Rains Every Afternoon" FL storms sorta percentage.

It has been pretty much normal FL afternoon storms this week, so hopefully should be the same for you! A few late night storms as well but mornings and mid day have been pretty good, although very HOT AND HUMID!!!!

Well, I did it! I changed up my last Disney day dining this late in the game! I dropped lunch at Sci FI, and decided to use that TS credit to enjoy a meal at yachtmans steakhouse instead.....we can never turn down a great steak! :thumbsup2 we have extra QS credits, so I'll just do QS lunch at backlot express or somewhere in DHS, then we will take the boat across for dinner at yacthmans. So far, all they could get me is 6:45....which is cutting it close for my beaches and cream meet at 8:30..... But hoping I'll be able to snag something closer to 6:15/6:30 in the next two weeks! Fingers crossed a cancelation comes up! Looking forward to this signature dinner, I've always wanted to eat there!

I think that was a good choice. If I thought my kids would sit through a meal at Yachtsman I would do it in a heartbeat!

Grumpy Grandma said:
If you can't get an earlier reservation you can always try just showing up early. We've done that before and they've always gotten us in prior to our ADR time. :thumbsup2

I totally agree with this, we have done this a few time and always gotten seated early.

Ugh, cranky kids are the WORST! I hate to say it but my now 7 year old DD never outgrew the cranky stage ;) I think a trip for you and DH sounds perfect!!!

Sure I'll check in sometime tonight. Happy Friday everyone :)

Woohoooo!!!!!

Thinking of changing our August trip to April. This is the last year I'd be able to pull DS out of school for an extensive trip, so I figured why not just do it then?

Hi :wave2:

Getting busy around here, and yes I am finally packing! We are leaving tomorrow, making a couple of stops along the way, arriving at the Beach Club Monday around noon :yay:

I will be bringing my iPad and camera, so I will post updates and of course pictures! Can't wait to meet missoutandabout and jenny next week! :grouphug:

Hope everyone is doing well. It's Friday, yay for the weekend!

Miss, JC and Melissa - have FUN! And of course Jenny too!

I can't wait to hear back from you guys!

JC - you and Melissa have to report back on the BC/YC renovations!

Hello to everyone and happy Friday! When will you be out of that awful boot, Jeanette? Are you still working two nursing jobs? Has Dani booked April yet?

:rotfl: Since the first step is to admit the problem - I am a compulsive indecisive person...or rather, I make up my mind...and then change it a gazillion times. My family does not *believe* me regarding final location/hotel/restaurant, etc. until we actually check-in. We were supposed to be in SC this week at the beach, but...we're at Disney :lmao:

ETA: And I'm going to book WL tomorrow for our next trip, but I have voices in my head saying "Beach Club" and "Poly". If anyone can make them stop!
Nice to see you over here! Where's dinner tonight and did you book yet?
Welcome!!! As kook would say pull up a rocker and join us!!! Actually I'd say that too cuzz I love WL too!! Anyway we are a very friendly group ... some might say a little chatty! And since I'm on the west coast I'm usually late to the party in the morning but I do finally get there!! :rotfl2:

Oh by the way .... I just added 5 more days to my January trip!!! :rolleyes1
KOOK would say that::yes::. Five more days is almost another whole vacation:thumbsup2. Ah, to have the life of a grumpy grandma:cloud9:

WAIT!!! DID ANYONE SEE MY TICKER?? ONE MONTH!!!:banana::banana:
That calls for.....

Ah yes, cranky babies and inhaled food - very stressful. Our pas130 did a long weekend at WL in a Honeymoon Suite recently for her anniversary:love:

Don't forget about those cranky husbands, too:rolleyes1

My DD13 and DH both get cranky when they're hungry. I always know it's because they're hungry because I'll ask if they're hungry and they'll say, 'No', so that way I know they're hungry;)

Yeah to updates and photos:thumbsup2. Are you still stopping in GA? We just loved a new hotel we tried in Brunswick. Let me know if you need details.

I want to check out BWI while we are at YC, I like the look of it online but my kids are freaked out by the clown slide at the pool ;) I think my final set up so far is good, but we all know how easily that can change, lol! YC for Sep & Oct, CR in Dec, and WL in Feb :) We haven't stayed at a deluxe in a long time and never at the Epcot resorts, so I am very excited for this weekend!!!

So exciting - wishing you a wonderful trip! Just a note regarding BWI - I thought the clown slide would bother me, but it doesn't at all. I initially felt the same about the masks at POFQ, and then changed my mind after staying there. When you look at photos, or just walk by with a focus on those things, they look worse than when you're staying there. I really love BWI CL and that's what brings us back. When we book non-CL in the Epcot area, I always go with BC/YC.

Hi all!
So we got to go in through side door to new fantasyland and do the "story time with Belle!". It was so neat, the girls got to take part in the story, and Maurices Cottage is so cool! I was beaming, and my eldest told me I looked too happy and almost "creepy"... Nice.

So exciting! Thanks for the update!

:
ETA: And I'm going to book WL tomorrow for our next trip, but I have voices in my head saying "Beach Club" and "Poly". If anyone can make them stop!

Sorry, can't help to make them stop! Love WL and stayed there many times, but BC and Poly are my favorites. :)

Marie You can walk down and watch IllumiNations from the bridge that is between BC & BW and get a good view of the higher fireworks, we watched from there twice in the evenings in March

If watching Illuminations outside the park, this is my second favorite view! So I'd definitely second this recommendation. (My favorite was from our then-standard view BC balcony.)

Miss, JC and Melissa - have FUN! And of course Jenny too!

JC - you and Melissa have to report back on the BC/YC renovations!

Ditto to all of this!

And regarding the BOG announcement, I'm very happy about that. Looking forward to our January 28 ADR - will look forward to hearing Grumpy Grandma's report!

You know that feeling like you are forgetting something important? Yeah, that's how I feel right now! Packed everything that I can today, just need DH to load the truck since I hurt my back this week and don want to mark it worse by lifting heavy bags ;) Tomorrow morning I'll pack the cooler and the last minute toiletries. I need the next 12 hours to fly by!!!!

April is starting to look official.:hyper:

I just need to sit down and talk to my dad and see if he is coming or not. He likes to say no and then at the last minute say yes he wants to come.

TGIF Peeps!! :cool1: :wave2:

First, happy trails to Melissa, Miss and Sarah! :yay: Safe travels to you all (Melissa we all wish we had your short drive :))

And :welcome: to ready2vacation!! Between you and disneydreaming247 (our own Dani)... your DIS names express how we feel all the time!! ::yes:: R2V ... you are in good company with these fine ladies!

Dani: April??? That's great!! (but then no August, right?? :()

Marie: Excellent ADR change to the Yachtsmans ...we have not eaten there, but my sis has and she raved about it!! :thumbsup2

Jenny: Bet the girls loved being part of the Belle experience!! :woohoo: Any pictures?? :)

GG: :yay: for 5 more days!! Any resort picks yet??

:goodvibes Hope your DS competition tomorrow goes well [and of course tonight.] Is this his first year?? Does he really love it?? I here you are quite married to the band for about 5 mos .... :)

My DD is a 9th grader and is in a Friday night Footband band (playing at home games only.) Its in the 2nd season, traditionallly our school district only offered the competition marching band. Figured that the school introduced this less extensive option, to give more kids the experience witht the hopes they step up the following year. And all competition band members are in the Friday night band as well. My DD had a minicamp for one week; I know the competition band started practice in June!! I really hopes she takes it to the next level in 10th grade. :)

Good morning ladies! :wave2: Trying a quick multi before off to get poked and prodded by the physical therapist. Bosu balls are horrid works of torture for those with the coordination of Elaine-like dancers.

:rotfl2: Miss you never fail to crack me up ..... needed some laughs after the past 2 days ... :)

Eep, I just noticed a thread there entitled 50's Primetime Diner Nightmare... will have to save that for when I get back. :faint:

stay away from it .... we LOVE primetime and had 2 great meals with a helping of good old fashioned fun by our waiters!! :goodvibes Think only positive thoughts!!

Thanks to all for the warm welcome - I guess I could have said that I'm "Natalie". Looking forward to getting to know everyone!!

Since we were unfortunately staying offsite this trip and today was our last full day, we had Flippers pizza delivered (actually pretty good) and then DH HAD to have one last Dole Whip so we drove to the Poly for the millionth time this week and had one at Capt Cook's.

And not only cranky hungry husbands...but husbands that are "sick". Mine got a sinus infection this week and you would have thought he was breathing his last breath. ;)

Tried to plant the seed with my mom tonight that we might like to have a long weekend at the first of the year just the two of us without the baby and she just kept talking. Hmm, maybe she didn't hear me...

Okay, I totally don't think it's a coincidence that last year when I made my ticker it was exactly 7 months, and it was again today!

I AM SO STOKED!!!:yay:

Hi ladies!

We put in another full day at HS....10 hours! I swear the kids are like energizer bunnies! We were going to go to Fantasmic , did the dining pkg, but then made a game time decision to come back to swim instead. :goodvibes. The girls really wanted some pool time, and DH wisely reminded me that getting out after the show could be difficult for everyone...:headache:

And I met another Diser at the Poly pool, who I met on our Polynesian September thread so that was very neat!:goodvibes. Anyhow...AK tomorrow and Boma for dinner. I think it will be a late start to the day, with some swimming in the morning.

Miss and Sarah: our reservations are for 6:30 on Thurday, should we shoot for around 6:00? Looking forward to seeing you!

Hi to everyone else...and welcome to the new faces!

Natalie - dole whips at Captain Cooks are on our list too! I think I am going to head there for lunch or dinner on our MK day so we dont have to do two counter service in the park.

Dani - tickers don't show up on the dis boards app so spill it! What did you book and when?

Jenny - sounds like a great day. I am trying to gear up for more pool time this trip. It is going to be hot and I know the kids will want to swim in SAB. This is our fourth year in a row to go so I keep reminding myself we don't have to do everything. Relaxing by the pool is fine! I wonder if wifi works out there?

We leave two weeks from tomorrow! I can't believe it! Jenny inspired me to make a few tshirts so I need to get that done. The weather seems to be cooler here so I can probably start packing! So excited!

I want to wish our sweet Jungle Cruiser safe travels and a fantastic time at WDW!

I've been posting this to some other threads, but I want to make sure our RC DVC members see this:

$399 Premium Annual Passes for DVC Members!

Leah Zanolla | Posted: Sep 12, 2012 | Updated: Sep 12, 2012

Members of the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) timeshare program will be the recipients of a great new perk beginning October 1. On a video posted on the DVC website this morning, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Claire Bilby, announced a new discount available from October 1 to December 31, 2012. For just $399, DVC members can purchase a Walt Disney World Premium Annual Pass. The normal price of these passes is $699, so that's a savings of $300 (DVC members normally pay $559 for a Premium Annual Pass, so it's still a substantial savings). A Premium Annual Pass allows access to all four theme parks, plus both water parks, Disney Quest Indoor Interactive Theme Park, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course and free parking.

Passes aren't activated until they have been used for the first time, so take advantage of this deal while it's being offered even if your current annual pass hasn't expired. For DVC members to renew a regular annual pass, it is $385, so for $14 more, you would get the extra benefits a premium annual pass offers over a regular annual pass. DVC members have until December 31, 2013 to activate these passes.

After October 1, DVC members will also get 10% off merchandise at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney's Aulani Resort & Spa, Disney's Vero Beach Resort, and Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort.
