I know I can ask this here... totally not Disney-related but I know one of you experts will have some advice to offer! :goodvibes

I'm having an MRI done in a couple weeks. Never had one done. I'm not worried about the procedure itself but I am kinda-sorta a tad bit claustrophobic. Not majorly so -- but if my chest is being confined I tend to get anxious. I'm fine with elevators and such just not having my chest restricted. (For instance, one time I was on a packed commuter train, preggers and standing up with tall people pressed in all around me. That made me panic a bit. Yes, I'm silly. :headache: ) Should I call the ordering physician and tell them about it or try to deal with it by calming myself down? :faint:

Kinda clueless about the whole thing. :confused3

Im not a nurse but have worked in healthcare for a long time. You can absolutely ask the dr for something to calm you, it's a very common concern - I assure you they'll understand. Also as another poster has mentioned you might want to look into an open MRI. The open MRIs are awesome and were designed with the claustrophobic patient in mind..

You wanted change, I've got change! Check the ticker, yup, we're going back to the lodge!!! :yay::yay::yay::yay:

It's everyone's number one choice, and as much as trying something new would be nice, it really just feels like our home. Oh! And we aren't doing CL this time around. As awesome as CL was , it was only a fraction of what we loved about the WL and we are really trying to be unstructured on this trip. We've ditched the DDP (which we've held onto like a safety blanket for 3 years) and we feel that CL would just restrict us because we'd have to be at the lounge at certain times to get the offerings. I can't tell you how many times we missed breakfast while we were there, because we didn't wake up until 10 am !!!! :scared1:

We are looking forward to no reservations, and just going where the wind takes us. The only ressie we want to get is Be Our Guest!!!! That's it. It's gonna be sweet! :thumbsup2

So, there it is....going back to the lodge! Happy, happy, joy, joy! :cloud9:

MAGIC…it is! Hope you have a great trip and manage to stay dry, we have had brutal storms here lately.

pas130 I hope DD is doing better and you got a nap in today. Those nighttime episodes are the worst!

JanetB Thankfully the DS’s accident was our last day in the parks, but only weeks before our cruise and older DS’ knees were pretty raw for a while and not fun to deal with at the beaches or pools. Oh well, we try not to let much get us down :)

JungleCruiser sounds like your dr has the right idea with keeping vacations a must. I know my mom had a lot of issues with mouth rashes from meds. Hang in there, sounds like you have an amazing support group here :grouphug:

Jennyjinx3 LOVE the dress!

Missoutandabout I would talk to the physician, they can call you in something to calm your nerves. I am not claustrophobic but there is something about MRI’s that gets my anxiety going. I listen to the music they offer and take deep breathes (when allowed) but I think if it is your first time and you are already anxious I would ask the dr for something, probably just a dose of Ativan about an hour before you go should do the trick.

Mousemommy1 YOU totally crack me up :lmao: Even though we don't go for long usually we used to pick up the DxDP when we would go for DD's bday and do CRT. This year we have opted to skip the DP's and go with the TiW card. Although opposite of you we are starting to do more ADR's now that the kids are getting a bit older and can handle TS.

I am exhausted after a long day at Chuck E Cheese and then a playdate at our house. Need to make a quick trip to the kid's school tomorrow to drop off meds (for DS) and epipen (for DD) and talk to the nurse about timing meds for DS, poor guy has ulcers and gastritis and needs daily meds before lunch. Then meet the teacher on Friday, and then.....SCHOOL STARTS MONDAY  I love my kids, but we decided to be camp free this summer and this SAHM needs a break!!!!

I was hoping the fall room discounts were going to be released today but no luck :sad2: I really want to keep my Oct YC resies, but at $495/nt I just cant justify it. Still keeping my fingers crossed for some type of AP, Fl Res, or even a Dis Visa discount. I will worry about Jan and Feb latter in the year ;)

I also wanted to say as a newcomer, I love the sense of family on this board. I have two of my closest friends that I met on BabyCenter.com out of all places and I see that closeness here. Thank you again for welcoming me.

The people on this thread are a wonderful group of people! I was very lucky to fall into this bunch about a year ago, and haven't looked back! :goodvibes

Yeah, we are kind of "over" the TS dining for now....we've done every restaurant we've wanted and some even twice. I'm sure we'll end up with 2-3 ADR's but nothing compared to what we are used to. There are so many Disney snacks and treats that I am looking forward to try without being too full, or avoiding because it's "not on the plan".

It's my girls 4th trip, so there's no sense of urgency to be bustling all over the place...we're just gonna chill :cool1:

If the fudge was on the DP it would be a whole different story ;) I cant leave WDW without a box a fudge from MK or DHS!!!

Okay so I know you are all the resort changers, but I have a dining question for you. I have asked this on the disabilities board, but curious to hear your opinions as well. As I mentioned to MM1, we are just starting to really get into TS meals. But the problem is that DS(9) has Asperger's Syndrome and with that a lot of sensory (mostly noise) issues. He LOVED Sci-Fi Diner, and tolerates CRT for DD, but I am having such a hard time finding the "quieter" restaurants. So far for our various trips I have the following booked:

Cape May Café (dinner)
Captains Grille (dinner)
Sci-Fi Dinner (lunch)
Via Napoli (lunch)
Coral Reef (lunch)

I really want to branch out and do more, but I feel like I am so limited. Any other suggestions?

Melissa

I know I'm behind on my live tr, please don't kill me, but I have to tell you all this because I know you'll appreciate it. In the past 3 days Danimal has planned for us to stay at AoA, Pop, Beach Club, Poly, CR, and GF. :lmao: Does it run in the family or what?!

I'm looking into booking our next trip because we aren't even home yet and I'm already depressed! :sad1:

Miss: I feel for you, I too am a bit claustrophobic too. I hope the Dr. can give you something to calm you. :grouphug:

Dani: No worries about the TR, the actual vacation is way more important! It sounds like he has caught the RC bug from his mama!!:lmao:

Babyberger: Not too sure about what other ADR's might be good for you...but yes you are right about the lovely ladies here. They welcomed me with open arms too. I came for some RC advice, and one of them said "why don't you stay awhile"....and I am so happy I did.:flower3: Oh and I also hear you about the SAHM thing, we do love them soooo much, but need a break too. My DD's are loving their one week of day camp this week, and I am too!!:rotfl:

Candace: What can I say??;) You found somewhere you totally loved, and want to go back home now. I totally get it.:goodvibes That is the Poly for us this time.

Pas: How are the kiddos??

Thanks for the compliments on the dress, I won't tell you what a bargain it was...you may think your RC friend is a cheapster! But it was a steal, marked down and down again!! And in my size....the only one there. So it had to be mine! Hey, I have to be cheap sometimes otherwise we'd never get back to WDW!!:woohoo:

We sat down and looked at every resort last night....values were out (DH is just done with those). Mods were out because DH hates the size of most, except for maybe POFQ, but then when we decided to drop CL, you just can't beat WL for the price. Plus, we said that we were going to go "cheaper" on this trip...we just can't imagine a WDW trip without WL though now, so there it is. It really makes me happy. We have never repeated a resort before!

We are thinking Poly for Feb 2014....or WL CL.....

Candace: Nice...I totally get it. We haven't stayed anywhere but the Poly so that will be hard for us next year to stay at POR. But I guess you do what you have to do for two trips!!:) I have heard it is nice there, so we will hope for the best!! Until then...we got the rest of our Mickey Mail yesterday!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Must go...DD3 is screaming for me at the top of her lungs:rolleyes2 Have a great day!!

Dani No Worries I wondered why you seemed to be traveling to all the resorts this trip, what no AKL?

MM. We usually tend to do a resort twice in a row when you really like it yet another reason I will never get to stay at them all. What type of room did you book this time since your not doing CL?

Yay for Mickey Mail!!!! :woohoo:

I think POR looks beautiful! I want to stay in the royal rooms so bad! But, DH really disliked CBR and I think it will be awhile before we do a moderate again. He said he would outright stay at one of the All Stars before we stay CBR again. :confused3

But, yes, with 2 trips in one year....one trip needs to be more cost effective for sure! At least for us.::yes:: we are just extremely lucky to be able to visit our favorite place so often...I'd stay in a cardboard box if I had to! :scratchin

We booked a woods view bunk bed room. I requested a higher floor facing MK so we can get our same view...it'll be exactly the same, but no snack room!! Oh, and we are looking forward to getting the real balcony...the solid one was kind of a bummer.

The bunk beds are the best when you have two kids. Our second stay ay WL we had bunk beds but back then it was just a request not a bookable category.

I do not think I would care for a solid balcony although at BW I stood resting on the railing a lot since the view of Cresent Lake was to the right side.

My girls LOVED the bunk beds!!! And, we LOVED them and consider them totally worth paying for, since it's the only time we have been able to get them to sleep in their own beds at a hotel...otherwise, they sleep with us. :scared1:

Pas & Sheila: Hope you get your much-needed naps today.
Maybe I'll get a nap today.....

Pas: I am sorry to hear your kiddos are sick, hope they get over it quickly (and it is not HF&M!!!)
Definitely not HF&M...Vomiting gone, now fever & cough. Katie & Bree have it..little guy is better at least...

Love the dress!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wrote a multiquo yesterday and don't know where it went!

PAS: so sorry I won't be meeting you and lovely HRH in Sept, but I understand about life changes and doing things when they are best for everyone. our paths WILL cross one of these yrs!!
I have had a bunch of stuff disappear the last few days :furious:

And Marie, we WILL meet up  one day...
I know I can ask this here... totally not Disney-related but I know one of you experts will have some advice to offer!

One word...drugs  (just make sure you have a designated driver ::yes::
You wanted change, I've got change! Check the ticker, yup, we're going back to the lodge!!! :yay::yay::yay::yay:
:woohoo: You know...CL wouldn't be a budget buster with the discount.....

melissa I am anti-school so far. I like the fact I don't have to have everyone dressed and out the door by 730am. Plus this year my baby will be lonely....all his siblings will be at school....

Those fall discounts WILL BE OUT SOON!!!!!!!!!!!! Hang in there, hopefully you'll get at least 30% off YC!!!

And I am glad you joined our family!!!!! You fit well here :goodvibes

:faint:

Yup definately a contender for new RC Queen :rotfl2:
That's what I'm saying...you KNOW Candace is NOT finished!!!:rolleyes2

I'm not sure anyone can take that title away! :rotfl:

This is it. Everyone is ecstatic with our plans. We are done. I pinky swear :goodvibes
Now you did it! The ULTIMATE RC jinx......

My DD7 (who you will also see referred to as HRH~Her Royal Highness)
Did surprisingly well with Askerhus Breakfast and Crystal Palace. Via Napoli we did for lunch just DH & I and I found it to be on the busier side...I think if you do dinner early and stick with lunches all will be well!

It TOTALLY runs in the family sis  That's quite the split stay he has planned!

Tylenol Motrin Tylenol, lather, rinse, repeat :faint: They're troppers...now HRH is coughing....

That's us too....bad CBR experience, and we haven't stayed in a mod since.....
