Marie, my vote goes to Subaru too! We are or were as it may be a Subaru family they are not only great in bad weather also in accidents. DH and I both totaled our Subaru and walked away. We have have driven 100,000+ miles with only routine maintenance. DH is currently driving '92 with 150,000+ miles and like the energizer bunny it keeps going

Marie, quick reply, then off to doctors and chemo. We needed to get me a new car in June, my Trailblazer had 150,000 miles on it and need a new transmission. My DH went out and bought a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe and I love it. Can't speak to resale values, we drive our cars until they need to be replaced, so that doesn't come into consideration. All I can say is the car is comfortable, drives well and I like the way it looks. I am not a "car person" as such, just want a reliable car that looks good and drives well. That's my Santa Fe. It will make its debut next month at WDW! (I got a dark blue one, there are 3 models of Santa Fe, we got the middle range model).

I just dropped my DD's off at different camps this week! They needed a break from eachother, and not surprisingly my oldest was the one who was nervous about going in. But she went in, and seemed to make a friend rather quickly...not that I was spying or anything! (I love using that one!!)

My younger two were off to the races...eager to get this camp thing started! Anyway, I am going to take this opportunity to go for a nice walk....not raining today thank goodness. Have a wonderful day all!!!

Same here.... I go back two days after so I have basically one day to get it together before going back. Dani will be gone before the Disney portion of my trip but I'd love to do a quick RCers meet up. (I'm a little shy too but I missed the meet with Karen and the other RCers last year and I don't want to miss the opportunity this year.) Don't be shy....

Kook, Magic, Janet, did I miss anyone? You three are off to WDW this week also. I hope evryone is bringing cameras for pictures of RC meets!

I knew Jeanette was getting back so I had to stop by and say hello!!! I was lurking on my phone the other day I heard the WL was a hit!! I have to hear all about this room that I continue to book, but never stay in

Pas... that's how we do our days... out in the morning, lunch, back to resort, swim/waterpark, dinner, back to park. I think I need a little Blizzard Beach in my life soon... I'm looking pale.

I loved the pic of the RC sisters!!! OMG, and I melted when I saw Princess Lilyana and Pooh Bear on FB!! I hope both had great trips, and there's a few leaving soon I know!! Safe travels!!

As I am a true changer.... I moved our move in date from the 31st to the 29th. So we'll be leaving on the 28th, and pulling in on the 29th. I have a lunch ADR for Via Napoli on the 30th at 3pm.... so I'll be in Epcot late afternoon on Thursday! I figure we'll be tired from traveling and won't feel like immediately jumping into unpacking--so I figured go to the parks before the weekend which will be a little crazier with the holiday. Hoping to visit Kook for a bit before she leaves town

On a side note... DH also requested that we eat at Boatwright's the weekend that we move. He said it's one of his favorites. So there you have it folks... a hidden gem. Maybe we'll watch some Yehaa Bob too. He's great!! If you haven't seen him--you need to go over to POR on a night he's playing!! That would make for a great RC get together!!

Even though there are boxes everywhere... it seems as if nothing is packed. Stepmom came to get her dog, so we're back to a 1 dog family. I found a $100 honeybaked ham gift certificate last night while packing, lol. It was an xmas gift a while ago. I went and spent $100.58 and got food for the rest of our time here. It's like eating for free!

I'm still undecided about our anniversary night. It'll have to be a pretty sweet AP discount to justify it... I guess we'll see after we're settled. I mean... 3 miles away?? If it's $400ish for a night, that's like 3 meals at the California Grill that we can space out. I dunno--I think it'll help once we see how our pay and bills pan out once we're settled. Also... the thought of leaving Baxter over night hurts my feelings. We'll see. At least my ADR for CG is in order. That's for certain.

Okay... well my "lunch break" is over and I need to keep stuffing boxes full of schtuff. I'd like to start keeping in touch more so hopefully I can plan some meets with my favorite ladies!!!

We had lunch at Via Napoli!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually all our food was yummy! We did mostly CS.

I would HIGHLY recommend WL CL!!!

DH and I actually discussed this over airport Cold Stone last night...

it's not just about the offerings, it's everything...CMs, resort, etc....

And the Poly lover DH...after visiting the Poly..although we had a wonderful time chatting with sis...actually said he had no desire to stay there anymore....he said "It felt dated"

I was really surprised by this, I thought he LOVED our room in November, and the Tambu lounge, beach, castle....but after the WL...EVERYTHING changed.

He still loves the values BUT, when we discussed April, he said WL!!!!! I kept mentioning AoA, and he said no WL... Which means I got the OK to book April in WDW (and US/IoA)

I did finally bring up the HRH and I trip...it's a definite No , for many reasons. And it's OK....even for HRH....

Marie I vote for Subaru also. I had one when I lived in Tahoe and Mammoth Lakes. They are great in the snow and ice. We just bought a VW Passat 2 weeks ago. Love it. I know what dealing with the Car sharks is like. I can't believe the crap they try to pull. Shopping for a car is pure torture in my opionion.

As for me. I was floored when Bday boy said he wanted BW CL over YC Cl. Was YC Cl really that bad???......hmm. It must have been because he loves that Yc pool. BW Cl was N/A, but I was able to push it back a day and get BC CL GV.I'm happy I don't have to look at a parking lot, and I'm really happy I don't have to upgrade to LV not to look at a parking lot. I also tried to upgade the Wl CL to Poly GV Cl....also N/A. I'm kind of relieved with that one. As much as I prefer the Poly I prefer the Wl price. Lots of changes today, but my ticker remains the same. 12 nights total. 5 at WL cl/2 Akl CL and 5 BC Cl. I'm not sure the Christmas trip will happen. I have overspent, overworked and I'm overtired. Those three things always go together. If not Christmas then Star Wars weekend will be our next trip.

If I'm not around much over the next few weeks I just want to say to all of you with trips coming up HAVE FUN and safe travels.

I will defenitely give you my thoughts on all the Club levels. This trip will make it 5 CL's we have tried.

Oh no, we leave early on the 30th. I had to change our dates due to DD's freshman orientation. But, I'm hopeful that you'll be able to make a visit to the happiest place on earth the next time we're there

Jeanette!!!. So glad you loved the WL!!! It truly is a wonderful resort!!!

I know what your DH feels about the Poly...last month was the first time I had set foot on Poly property since 1985...and honestly, it felt....exactly.the.same.

The furnishings in the general area were, well....shabby

I do not mean to speak badly about the Poly, but I just don't think it's our thing...I think the "theming" must go over our heads or something. Obviously, we've switched from the Poly to BWI, and I don't know what it is but when I book Poly I get a pit in the bottom of my stomach...it's all about personal preference though...many people feel the same about our beloved WL!!

DH really (surprisingly) like the GF and wants to stay there, but the construction is HIDEOUS!!! I was feeling really bad for people who were paying to stay there right now...I think once it's all done, we may give it a shot...but when we did our tours of YC/BC/BWI, DH felt that BWI was most like GF and took a liking to it. It is very much our taste, so despite the clown pool, we are giving it a shot. (I'm the only one afraid of clowns)
