I have a cruise question!!!! We are working on final details...is it worth it to have the verandah??? It looks really nice, but obviously costs extra...but it's like added space to the room...and...what are the differences in the decks??
Hi Mousemommy! I entirely agree with Amanda. The verandah is entirely worth it for us, even though we're very "on-the-go!" The ability to go out on the verandah in the mornings or evenings (especially when the kids are still sleeping), to have a little extra space and to have an amazing view and fresh air all the time - these are big advantages for us. Like Amanda's husband, I would not be able to cruise without one. And like Amanda's family, we were on Deck 6 on the Dream. On the Wonder next month, we'll be on Deck 8. I do think we'll prefer the higher deck just to be near the pools/beverage station/breakfast.
Thank you!!!I'm really excited to try out BC, even if it's only for 2 days. Hopefully, I'll be able to check out SAB for at least a little bit with Reid on the Saturday we're there. Are there any areas of SAB that is geared towards the younger kids? I really want to do our 2014 trip during Star Wars weekends, so I'm considering this "resort research" for that trip.
Seems like it would be best to stay at an Epcot resort if we do go for SWW. I really like the thought of being able to walk or take the boat to DHS with Reid on the night of the race.
Amanda, I'm so glad you asked! I created an SAB thread last year! Just click here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2790323. Scroll down to parts 3 and 4 and you'll see the areas that are perfect for Reid. One thing I love about SAB is that the zero depth entry / sand bottom area stays shallow throughout and is not connected to deeper areas of the pool. Our 5-year-old loves those kiddie sections of SAB, and our older boys still hang out there quite a bit too.
