Anyone been to this hotel? Just got a great deal on priceline. The reviews are mixed! Please tell me I did get a good deal and this place isnt a dump. I got a room for 40 a night on a weekend. I thougt it was a good deal!

In my opinion you got a great deal. I have stayed a few times and found the rooms to be good (not great but more than adequate). The location is great and they have a very nice pool with a very good slide.......especially for $40 a night. The only problem I had with the pool is it is deep if you have small children. The Bar had very good happy hour specials on food and drinks that you could get around the pool and I was very impressed with the Bartender as I stayed there for a night then went to Disney for a week and then came back for 1 night and when I walked up he handed me my drink without even having to order (very good memory). They also had Krispy Kreme doughnuts in the lobby to purchase in the morning which was great for breakfast.

I stayed there in 2002 on Spring Break with my DS who was then 2. DH couldn't get the time off work so it was just the two of us.

I also booked it through Priceline and was VERY pleased! I never felt unsafe traveling as a mom with a toddler. The parking lot was well lit, up close parking, well lit hallways, pleasant staff.

We didn't use the pool or eat there so I don't feel qualified to comment except to say - I did look at the pool and there was a really cool looking slide then. Had I been able to travel with DH I'm sure we would have used the pool. We bought breakfast foods to keep in the room and ate our other meals at WDW.

Speaking of WDW, if I recall, we were on actual Disney property in about 5 minutes. Easy area to get around, a convenience store nearby and a grocery store (Publix maybe?) about 10 - 20 minutes away. All very easy to find and get to.

I hope you like!! I know we did!!

We stayed there several years ago and were really happy with it. We were upgraded to a suite due to the Starwood hotel membership (we were just basic level members).

I really liked the location. It was near a lot of restaurants, etc. plus DTD.

We've stayed many a night here to save DVC points. This is our favorite offsite spot! The prices are usually very reasonable (I've never gotten a $40 deal though- that's awesome!) and we often are able to book with Starwood points. The staff is always friendly and pleasant, and we find the rooms to be spacious, clean, and comfortable. The proximity to WDW is great too. I highly recommend this hotel! If it weren't right by Disney World, I'd probably rank it higher, but it can be tough to compete with WDW hotels ;)
Plus my DS loves the little alligators in the lobby!

I have stayed there a few times for the night I arrive. It's fine. It's very close to DTD. It is not fancy but if you want a cheap hotel right near Disney then it's fine.

I was looking at this hotel- I need 2 nights before our stay since changed some plans :rotfl2: and I use priceline all the time. I had $5 per night rewards so using your info I book 3 stars for $36 priceline kicks in $5 for $41 (just to be safe:thumbsup2) and I got it too for mid July :cool1:

I am very excited I think it will be great.

Thanks everyone for the info! Im feeling much better with the great comments about this place! And im glad I could pass on some useful info!!!

We stayed there on a priceline deal several years ago before our disney cruise. The beds were super comfy and I remember being very happy with our room for what I'd paid for it. I think it will be fine!

I asked about this resort on the Orlando board and it looks like I should have asked here instead! This one is on my short list so it's nice to see some decent reviews.

OP, thanks for asking. :)

No prblem! Glad to hear some good info about this place! Im excited! Anyone know how close it is to downtown disney? My dh isVERY excited to hear about krispy kreme! Its his fave!

You are very close to DD. If I remember correctly, probably only a block from the DD light. At that light there is a McDonalds and several restaurants in the shopping center behind McDonalds. If you were leaving DD, you would take a left at the light. The sheraton would be just up the road on your right side.

FYI You just made my day!!!! I was really hoping that we were close! My parents just decided to pop in for 3 days while we are down there and I was able to get them they same great deal ( actually better because I passed on my $25 that I earned booking my hotel so they got it for 35 a night!!!!) My dad was whining " i hope its not that far away" I told him no your right down the street from DTD! Im glad to hear I might be right. On the map it seems fairly close! thanks for the info!!!!

We stayed there one night in Dec before our WDW check in. I had some Starwood points and used points and cash for a cheap stay. It was really nice and very close to DTD.

If I wanted to stay off site, I would choose them again.

When you get to the last entrance for DTD Marketplace (which will be on your left), take a right on to Hotel Plaza Blvd, go all the way until it meets Vineland Rd and make left onto Vineland Rd, it is probably a block down on the right, you can't miss it.

We have stayed there many times. Typically, when we are staying onsite, we stay at the safari the first night we arrive in Orlando. We usually stay on star points.

The rooms are always clean and the beds are comfortable. My kids love the pool and water slide.

The staff is friendly and helpful.

While the hotel is not fancy, it is serviceable and clean. I would highly recommend it.
