Oh give me a break, you're trying to compare keeping a forum family friendly to China?!I'm all for having fun, but there's also a line to be drawn for decency and appropriateness. And encouraging (even in a joking matter) people to post pictures of things that are clearly more sexual in nature on a forum that even has children as members goes well beyond that level of "fun."
I was using China as a reference to how negative censorship can be. Of course there is a line that can be crossed. But this is a public forum where all different types of people come to give opinions and comments. How does one determine what is crossing the line? Why you may fine offensive others find funny and vice versa. Some people are not so uptight as others.

I don't see any nudie pictures posted...or inappropriate language. I get offended by some posts too...not that they may not be family friendly...but will have insensitive comments about disabilities, race, weight,...WHATEVER! If I'm that offended, I don't read the thread anymore! I've read worse articles in the newspaper!
Personally, I don't believe that kids belong on the internet, unless it is at strict content controlled websites that are geared specifically towards kids....and even then only with parental supervision. If you let a child have access to the internet outside of those sites, you are taking a huge chance that your child is going to see something that you are most likely going to find inappropriate....especially in the absence of parental supervision.
