Sheer Bikini!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh give me a break, you're trying to compare keeping a forum family friendly to China?! :sad2: I'm all for having fun, but there's also a line to be drawn for decency and appropriateness. And encouraging (even in a joking matter) people to post pictures of things that are clearly more sexual in nature on a forum that even has children as members goes well beyond that level of "fun."

I was using China as a reference to how negative censorship can be. Of course there is a line that can be crossed. But this is a public forum where all different types of people come to give opinions and comments. How does one determine what is crossing the line? Why you may fine offensive others find funny and vice versa. Some people are not so uptight as others.

If someone can tell me exactly how this thread talking about what is and is not suitable attire for Disney waterparks goes afoul of the posting guidelines, I'm happy to take appropriate action.

I fail to see anything in here that is blatantly objectionable. Questionable perhaps.. but honestly, I don't see the issue here.

Am I missing something?

I think some people like to twist things around to make them more serious than they are just to stir things up.

Depending of the shape of the Op, if she was to wear said suit, my hubby would be on this board claiming his magical moment.:woohoo:

And I ment the eye candy for the easily offended posting here.

MAybe I'll pack his binoculars for TL.;)

Honestly I would be afaird to go to WDW if you acted like this when you where at WDW.
You would be just like the many people you all talk about, make fun of, and even get upset at. :sad2:

I admit the info is good but some of the conduct on the site is very questionable when it goes away from the fun family disney themed topic that it should stick to.

Oh honey, sooner or later you are going to realize that it takes all kinds to make the world go round. Some of us make more interesting contributions than others. This holds true on message boards, you hometown, and even WDW.

My advice to you is either to learn to ignore or to laugh....that will get you a whole lot further than grouching. JMO Maggie

I love how "Sheer Bikini", two little words have taken over this board today! lol i love the Dis

Call me crazy but if I come across a thread I find objectionable I stop reading it:rolleyes:

So you encourage people to come on here and give different opinions/comments without censorship, but then imply that someone with a differing opinion is uptight and is trying to promote censorship? Exactly who is trying to censor whom here? ;)

I am sure you are familiar with sheer & micro bikinis? "Swim" wear that is designed more to show off certain "assets" (and in many cases blatantly show it) rather than intentions for swimming? I'm not exactly seeing how post after post that encourages (even in a joking way) to share pictures of things like that is considered appropriate for a forum that says specifically that it welcomes visitors of all ages. I might not find it so objectionable if I knew that there weren't children who visited and posted on the Dis. But there are.

The OP seems more like it's pot stirring than an actual question, but if the question were honest, I think they're more than well aware of the answer now.

The fact that so many say they want a picture to make their decision. Be it a joke or not takes this thread to far. If you really want to look at a sheer bikini go to an adult site and stop looking for it on here. If the monitors where doing their job they would at least get on the thread and put up a warning that this is on the prink of Adult content and if it goes to far it would be closed.
I sure would not want my kids reading this on the boards with subjects like this being written.

Thats like what I wanted to say only better...lol. I would've said "honey" though that might be construed as a sexest remark or something.

Crush wears (and REMOVES) a bikini top during many performances of Turtle Talk.

I'll alert the media.

OK, I have said my peace and will let you all discuss among yourselves. :hippie:

Everyone is entitled to their opinion as I said earlier. We could go around and around here on that point if we really wanted to. But like some other posters said if you find a thread objectionable, don't read it. There are other forums on this site that others may fiind objectionable as well, should they be closed because some people don't approve?

If this thread offends you so bad, as it evidently does, stop reading it!! Nobody is forcing you to keep reading. Although I believe this topic *may* have been started as a troll, I find some of the posts rather funny! I don't see where it has gone un-family friendly?:confused3 I don't see any nudie pictures posted...or inappropriate language. I get offended by some posts too...not that they may not be family friendly...but will have insensitive comments about disabilities, race, weight,...WHATEVER! If I'm that offended, I don't read the thread anymore! I've read worse articles in the newspaper! :lmao:

:offtopic: Personally, I don't believe that kids belong on the internet, unless it is at strict content controlled websites that are geared specifically towards kids....and even then only with parental supervision. If you let a child have access to the internet outside of those sites, you are taking a huge chance that your child is going to see something that you are most likely going to find inappropriate....especially in the absence of parental supervision.
