and now I cannot see the countdown
which I think is two months even today...

as GF is coming over

Big Bird is charging 99 cents for all of their candy bars now.
I did not purchase mine there,
went to CVS instead, where they are 89 cents all the time
but also happened to be on sale for 67 cents today
used the free coupon
and also a buy one get one free coupon, so it was a woo hoo candy day!

and Giant Eagle had that for 89cents
and since they doubled the fifty
it was quite a deal for camp shampoo!

How was babysitting, Snow?

Pretty good.
I got there at 7:30 but the parents weren't ready to leave yet (the Dad was still working in the yard)
Any guesses how the Mom and I passed the time?
















Talking Disney of course!
They ended up leaving around 8:30 and the kids begged to go in the hot tub.
They lasted about 5 minutes and then they were begging for popcorn and ice cream cones so I got them out and dressed.
We enjoyed our treats and then layed down on the couch to watch some Noggin
About 2 seconds later A was snoring like a truck drive
I dosed for about 5 minutes and when I opened my eyes M was out cold on the chair!
They were both out by 9:30 which is so unlike them, they usually stay up until 11:30!
I remember changing the channel to the hockey game...next thing I know the news is on and the parents are walking through the door!

I woke up this morning to three cat scratches down my face
It was obviously extremely tired to have not felt that happening.

Do you remember when we used to pay a quarter for a chocolate bar?

Most places here are about 65-75 cents a bar.

I certainly remember quarter candy bars
and when they went up to 40 cents, then 55 cents.

I'm sure it's a mix of excitement and nerves.

DD13 will be a big help!

My sister and I both went to sleep away camp for a few summers(me for 1 month and she for 2, each summer). She is 4 years younger than I am. We got on each other's nerves at home, especially due to our cramped quarters. At camp, I did everything I could to help her and make her feel better when homesickness kicked in (which it did for me too). We were not kids who loved camp!
