She said it wouldn't be boring!-WONDER WB Caribbean cruise - Bonus Posts Wrap up

:welcome: I know you have been on your fair share, but I haven't seen any TRs. :rolleyes1

I know....I'm terrible at those. I'm always scared that no one will want to read them.

Plus...what if I start and never finished??? I may end up losing my jetski and ending up with a cow with toast :scared1: :rotfl2:

Like you agree, I'm not sure how much of a cruise person you would be, but I'm thinking that at least if you did a Disney Cruise it would be better than Carnival or another line. Carnival is a lot about drinking and since you're not into that, at least Disney has trivia and other things that would interest you if you're not into drinking, which a lot of the cruise also promotes.

If I ever do a cruise, it would be the DCL over the others like Carnival, Royal Caribbean, etc. Just as you said that those other cruise companies are all about drinking, gambling, etc. which I don't do.

Star Wars night! That's more like it :-) hope so re rum cakes. I only bought one first time around as I had never tried one. 5,000 miles later one Sunday afternoon with a cup of earl grey how I regretted that choice lol..

That is a definite possibility! I know that I can finish a TR and knew that before I found out about how potentially vindictive the TF could be. However, I think you need to be a lot more aggressive against the TF to get a cow with toast!

I'm sure you would much more like the Disney cruises than any other line.

They are heavenly! If I couldn't get them commercially, I would learn to make them. In fact I might do that, we bought so much liquor on our clearance purchases, I should start finding a way to use them up. A Rum cake would be great at our housewarming party!

Joining in! Sounds like a great trip! We went to the Western Caribbean on our Honeymoon (on Princess) and went to that Chankanaab and we really enjoyed it there. They have a dolphin experience/swim there, too which I really wanted to do but DH was having none of that unfortunately.

Can't wait to hear about the actual trip!!

Hello again! About those rum cakes, DH absolutely loves rum cake! On every cruise we go on (has always been to the Bahamas or Caribbean), he buys the Tortuga rum cake to bring home. They sell it in different flavors too. I remember a chocolate one, but can't remember the other flavors right now. I know they had a 3-pack of smaller size ones. My sister brought one of those three-packs for DH after her Bahamas cruise this past summer because she knows he loves it so much. I'm sure they will be selling them on the ship when we go on our Bermuda cruise in July on the norwegian Breakaway. And I'm sure he will buy some! :)

I'm so late to this TR. :(

But I finally got here.

Not long to go. Looking forward to another one of your TRs. :thumbsup2

:welcome: I'm glad to hear another good review of Chankannab! I started to read your PTR last night and got so tired, have you started the actual TR! I would love to read it!

Tortuga Rum Cakes! That was the place! I think we got two or three of the three packs. I know we got Chocolate, Original, Banana, Hurricaine, and a few other flavors as well. I think this time we will stick with Original and a couple other flavors, but not chocolate or the funny ones.

:welcome: I'm glad you finally made it over here. Sorry about the Internet problems. Not fun to come home to after a trip! I hope to at least entertain everyone with our adventures!

Page 2! :faint: I am ashamed. ;) Going back to catch up. :thumbsup2

:welcome: I'm glad you made it here. I will remember for the next one to send you a text message. I feel like that is presumptuous to expect folks to come on over, but since you asked I will do that. Expect one in April as that will be my next actual TR. All other trips will either be tacked onto this one or worked in somewhere inconspicuously.

That makes me wonder, do I do a TR for the Birthday Bash? I mean we do have a Grand Villa Booked at the VGC, in fact I need to start taking reservations for the girls room and the guys room. I have first tentative reservations from Jenny and Jill. Darcy wants to come, but isn't interested in the fine dining night, just the cookout....

So many questions in this post, and not TR related! :rotfl2:

Well here we are, down to counting the hours now before we leave. If everything goes according to plan, I have two more sleeps and 33 hours left before we leave for the airport!

Here’s what I have to update: we have packed most of our stuff.

I picked up my pirate costume from the tailor today and no less than an hour later Fran asks me if I can take him three pairs of pants to be hemmed by tomorrow night. She has always told me it won’t be boring!

I did book us onto Super Shuttle to the hotel Wednesday night. but we still need to book a taxi to the port for Friday.

She has given me most of the clothes that she plans to take on the trip, but we still aren’t totally packed. She got some pants Monday night via delivery and had me take them to the tailor. They will be ready Tuesday afternoon so she will have plenty of pants to take on the trip.

I have many of her shorts in the dryer to pack so she will have many shorts, not as many as pants, but I think she will need more shorts that pants. But that’s just me. I think otherwise we are mostly packed. She gave me many shirts and stuff and I think we’re good other than her list that she is working on.

The only other thing is that we need to get the alarm system in place. One of the houses down the street got robbed the other night. We have been paying for a security system for about 10 months and still haven’t installed it. I started to do it tonight and plan to finish it tomorrow morning.

I hope that tomorrow night I can put all our suitcases in the car and we are ready to go for Wednesday morning. We’ll see how that goes!

I hope you finish up your to-do list soon and can have the car all packed on time. Have a blast you two!

Looks like you are making good progress. I hope that you manage to get your alarm system installed in time.

Yes, you should do a TR. I'm more than tentative at this point..I've been reserving that weekend on my mental calendar. It will be time to be looking for flights some of these days.

Wow, you seem much farther along on packing for this trip! Maybe you will get some sleep this time. :) Sounds like you still have some things on your to-do list...get that alarm installed!
