Shaun and Ashley's Disney Wedding

Hi! I just started reading your PJ, everything sounds great! I'm sure you will have a beautiful wedding :)...and I loved how he proposed!

The flowers sound gorgeous! Are you providing the florist with the Mickey crystals? I've been on the hunt for them! =]

WOW You go girl! :) You got everything planned out!!

I love the music choices! :lovestruc

I haven't even really thought about flowers for other people.. haha just my own bouquet, but I am not having bridesmaids, so I guess that's one less flower arrangement to think about! :woohoo:

I love the idea of the breakfast and then rehearsal and your "last" meal! :)

Can't wait to see more of what you have!!

Thanks everyone for the comments!

The bridesmaids flowers were supposed to be roses and gerber daisies, but they wanted $115 a bouquet. So we went with the 3 gerber daisies which are now $35 a bouquet. All my girls are leaving the day after the wedding, so spending that much money wasn't necessary.

@lilsqueakrr - the florist is providing them. They are $3 a piece. On another thread someone mentioned you could just buy the crystals from the florist. Not sure about that though. Check out www.disneyflorist.com
Maybe you can get in contact with them and they can help your further!

Also, I must give a lot of credit to our wedding planner Maxine, and our florist Elizabeth. They are awesome. I send them emails way too much (lol) and they are always so nice and helpful.

We were debating on what we were going to do about tuxes. The place I got my dress from said they would measure all the guys and then we could send measurements to the place in Florida that we were going to order tuxes from. I was kind of worried about that. So we went to Baton Rouge to Men's Warehouse by the Mall of Louisiana. (Kristi, you know where I am talking about, lol). It is about a 2 hour drive from home, but everything is going to work out better this way. We went pick the tux out for DF and the groomsmen in Baton Rouge, all the guys will have to go back in April to get fitted. Groomsmen and ring bearer price is $120 and DF gets his free. :)

They will take all the measurements in Baton Rouge then send the order to a Men's Warehouse in Florida. The place is 20 minutes from Disney. So we will pick them all up a couple days before the wedding and we can return then late with no extra charge due to our MK photo shoot being two days after the wedding.

The groomsmen are having black pants, black one button jacket, black shoes, black satin vest, and black tie (we didn't want bow ties).

The groom will be wearing white two button jacket, white shirt, white shoes, white satin vest, and white tie. (This was at my request) lol
He didn't care if he wore black or white, but I think white will look better with my dress and after all he will probably only get to wear an all white tux on our wedding day.

I work about 5 minutes from there :)
I'm glad you got that all worked out!! We are buying suits and it's turning out to be such a challenge!! Brians a weird size and we cant agree on a color haha!!

@ Kristi, Good luck with that! LOL

My DF didn't want to pick anything out for the wedding, yet I just told him he is walking in to "can you feel the love tonight" and he is like why that song?

I was because I said so and you didn't want to help! lol
He shut up very quickly!!:rotfl:

haha!! that's right!!! Brian wants a little say so in it, LIKE HIS SUIT haha! But for the big stuff, he doesn't care about that stuff. I just ask him if he likes something I see on the computer and he just says, yeah. I don't think he ever has said he doesn't like something. Come to think of it, maybe he isn't really even looking at what I'm showing him. Hmmm...feels like he needs a test. I should just pull up some random non wedding related thing and ask if he likes it to see.... haha!

Okay, so today I received an email from my planner. Not very happy, almost in tears. So 115 days till the wedding and I am just made aware of this today?? Our wedding is at 10am at the wedding pavilion and another wedding has been scheduled for noon. So we have to complete and entire Catholic wedding which will be an hour, have our staged exit, and then take pictures. Everything at the pavilion has to be done with by 11:15am. Really how am I supposed to do staged exit and pics in 15 minutes?? So I have to break the news the the DF tonight who was determined not to see me until I walked down the aisle that he may just have to see me before so we can get some picture around the pavilion. The other two options were to shorten my ceremony or take pictures around Narccoossee's. Shortening the ceremony is not an option.

So do y'all think I should just take my pics before the ceremony or what?

:headache:

Tough decison :( If I had to make it, I'd probably take pics before the ceremony, during, and then around Narccoossee's after. That stinks. I hope it goes well breaking the news to df :goodvibes

Awww, that is a really tough position. If it were me I'd probably take pictures beforehand. Even though he may see you before you walk down the aisle, you can still make that moment when he first sees you special. I know some photographers make arrangements so they can get a picture or him and the two of you when you first see each other, so at least you'll be able to capture that moment up close on camera :)

Talked to the DF tonight and although he isn't that happy about it he agreed! Were going to probably set something at the archway outside the pavilion where I walk down the pathway and he is facing the opposite direction then turns around. :)

Yay!! That'll be cute :)

Yay! Glad you figured it all out! :goodvibes :yay:
I was gunna say you could do a totally staged thing with your photographers so that you can still capture that first moment.. even IF you do it INSIDE the pavillion, but have it empty so that it's just the 2 of you inside of it yanno? That would kinda have the same effect? Just no music? :confused3

I hear what you're saying about the Catholic ceremony. I'm Catholic but my DF is not and he's not converting. So we're doing a non-denom ceremony. But those Catholic ceremonies areeeee a long one!

Oh yea, they are long. LOL. The DF and I are both Catholic, but we would have been fine with just the blessing and not the mass. My parents only agreed to pay if we did the mass, so we agreed. I got another email from my planner saying that the couple behind us is having a full and out Indian wedding. Decorations will be extensive, so their planner is trying to get them to move the wedding to 2:30pm. My head hurts! Anyway, I might just leave pictures before the ceremony because after the ceremony we won't need a pre-reception and that will give us more "free time" at the reception.

108 days until we are in Disney and 115 till the wedding!

You are almost there!!!!!! Not long at all now!!

First of all hope the couple behind you moves their ceremony to a later time. And then I say go for it and do pic before so you can actually enjoy the rest of the day with your family and husban.

So I need some opinions on the following:

*Something New - this one is my dress.

For these too...I am using my Great-Grandmother's rosary to wrap around my
bouquet. So I am "borrowing" it from my Grandmother. Should this be my something borrowed or something old and what should I get for the other "something ..."

*Something Old -
*Something Borrowed -

For something blue, I have no clue. We aren't doing a garter toss, so I was trying to think of something else.

*Something Blue -

Thanks!
