I don't remember hearing much about this movie, so it makes me wonder, after Brosnan lost the 007 role, is he now in a position of making movies that go almost straight to DVD. That said, I rented it and watched it last night. While watching it, I found it a bit far fetched. It is not how I would behave if I were in the position of the victims, but in the end, it had an interesting twist and elevated the movie by about 50%. I ended up liking it. Anyone else see it?

I never heard about this movie either. I try to see all of his movies - I've loved him since his days as Remington Steele. :lovestruc I was about 12 when that show started, and I remember wishing I was Stephanie Zimbalist because she got to kiss him every week.

I haven't seen that one, but he's in "Mamma Mia" coming out this summer, so I'm not worried about his career yet!

He got nominated for a Golden Globe for his role in Matador. (Gotta love a half naked man in cowboy boots.;) )

He should do ok, he needs to find his place.

I think so as well. He was excellent in the role. The script needed a bit of work but the ending "saved" the movie.

That was a good movie, and loved the Nakie scene....:lovestruc

We watched it a couple of weeks ago but I just happened to see it on Netfix. I figured any movie with Pierce Brosnan and Gerard Butler was worth watching:lovestruc We liked it, it was intense and the ending well not what I expected at all.

You will probably see many more well-known actors doing the direct to DVD thing in the future. They make good money and the roles are easier to come by. Direct to DVD has proved to be succesful for studios and these movies are easier to produce than the big box-office features. They don't need to spend much on publicity and they can pay the actors less than they would for the other features.

It is sitting on top of my TV for viewing tonight. DH described it as a "lifetime" movie but he liked it. :goodvibes

Dawn, you scared me!! I thought you were saying that YOU were shattered because Pierce Brosnan had died!!

I could be wrong, but I don't believe that film was 'direct to DVD' outside of America. It was shown as 'Butterfly on a Wheel' in Europe and released last summer - about August or September.

It was I believe in wider release than in America. That happens quite often - 'Atonement' is a recent example. I missed seeing it in Germany and France, and could not find it playing in theatres in America as it was in limited release.
