Sharon's Journal -150 here I come!

Hi Sharon,

I'm glad you had a good Christmas. A spa treatment sounds heavenly.

You sound totally recommited to healthy living. I signed up for the NBC too. I think 2005 will be our year to succeed!

Have a great evening,
Beth

Happy New year Everyone!! Thank you all for stopping by. No, Geety, you don't have to come over and kick my butt! I am here! Maybe not posting as much, but around none-the-less!

So I am right here with everyone, recommitted to this way of life. Ready to FINALLY get rid of these extra pounds, once and for all. I am going to try to incorporate all the good things I learned over the last year, put them all into play at once and see if I can't get somewhere with my weight loss!!!

1) More fruit and veggies, keep an eye on the processed foods.
2) Drink my water!
3) EXERCISE!!!! This should have been number one, as I think it is probably the most important change I need to make.
4) NO eating after 7 pm!!!!
5) Eat only my points, stay away from flex points.
6) Stay focused and positive.

If I follow these guidelines, I CAN lose the pounds and become a happier and healthier me. :flower1: I am off to a very good start today. I have had 4 servings of veggies and fruit already, plus another veggie for dinner. My points for today look like they should be pretty low. And I am going to log off of the computer and hit Curves on the way home tonight (I am leaving work early so that I can fit it in!!! :smooth: ) I have signed up for the 5 pound loss for January challenge. I hope it is more than 5 pounds, but I would be happy to make it 5 pounds as well. I also signed up for the NBC. I hope that helps to motivate me as well.

Thank you for all the support that I receive from all of you. The fact that I keep trying is because I know I have you guys here, cheering for me, helping to push me and challenge me. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for that. :grouphug:

Alright, I am signing out so that I can go exercise before running the carpool to dance class tonight.

but I guess not. Have fun at Curves!! It takes some time to get that exercise habit back, but I know you can do it.

Drive carefully during carpool. It is a yucky raining mess here.

Hi Sharon,
Your list looks good. I should add #4 (no eating after 7pm) to mine but I'm not quite ready to give up my late night snack. Instead, I am trying to keep it SMALL. Over time I find myself saving all my points for night-time. Not good!

Your doing great! Keep it up:)

Sundie

i too keep trying to add no eating after 7pm to my list..i find it soo hard..i babysit every day from 245-8 so sometimes i dont get a chance to eat..i really need to change that!!

Well, yesterday ended up being a terrific day!! :Pinkbounc I had 6 servings of fruit and veggies. Surprisingly, I got 3 servings or dairy in and kept my points below target!! Plus I earned APS which I didn't use!! YIPPPEEEE!!! If I could just put a string of those type of days together I WILL find success! And I went to Curves, so good for me!

Food was:
B- 2 clementines and 1 cup Honey Nut Cheerios (no milk)
L- 2 cups celery and microwave popcorn
D- 2 small lean pork chops, 1/2 cup rice, 3/4 cup cooked broccoli
S- 3/4 cup strawberries with whipped cream, yogurt, hot chocolate made with lactose free skim milk

Total points - only 21.5!!! :teeth:

Today is off to a good start as well. If I stick to my plan, I should be right around target points. I won't be able to go to Curves because DD has dance 7 - 8 PM. But I am planning to try a WATP tape after I get home from that. Luch is a Lean Cuisine I brought in, dinner will be a salad. The strawberries are all cut up and ready for my evening snack. I will try to have that before I take Michelle to dance so that I can follow my no eating after 7 PM goal.

I am feeling very upbeat and positive. I have set a mini-goal of reaching a 10 lb loss by Feb 12 (when DM, DD, DSIL and myself go to NYC to see Hairspray) Just want to be able to button my leather coat if that is what I choose to wear (I can't button it right now  )

I changed my ticker. My all time high weight was this weekend at 186. The holidays were not kind to me. :guilty: But I have already whittled away 2 pounds, so I know this 10 lb goal is very "doable" - as long as I stick to plan!!!

Sundie and Jen - I did the no eating after 7:30 last year and it worked very well for me. It was difficult at first, but once I got going, it was really quite easy to adhere to. And honestly, I haven't been doing too much late night snacking anyhow, just some popcorn occasionally. But I wanted to make sure I didn't fall back into that trap while focusing on other areas.

Terry - Where the heck do you get all your smilies??? I LOVE them!! We didn't get the rain really until after I got home, so no problems there.
Thanks for all the support as usual! :grouphug:

sharon--sounds like you are doing great!!!
if the eating past 7 (or not eating) has worked for so many people, i really need to start doing that..i would love to be at goal by my may trip and im so afraid it wont happen!!
have a good rest of the day sharon!

Oh, I have my supply! :smooth:

I can't help myself. I enjoy smilies so much. I guess it is just one of those little things in life. I can share some links with you, if you want. Otherwise, I will just keep dropping them into your thread.

:worship: Sharon,

You are doing an amazing job. WTG! You are even getting your veggies in! I know you will be successful in 2005. Let me know how you like WATP. I still use mine.

Take care,
Beth

Your positive vibes made me smile :) I'm sure you'll be able to wear that leather jacket. Maybe that will call for a pic???? You are doing fantastic with your points and APs. Keep up the great work!
