Sharon's Journal -150 here I come!

Hi Sharon!
Just checking in to say hi and see how you are doing! Sounds like a very busy weekend for you.::yes::

I'm pretty excited that warmer weather is headed our way. Maybe it will finally feel like spring this weekend and we can kiss the winter doldrums goodbye!::yes:: :wave2:

Take care and have a great week!:sunny:

That is a long day! I remember in high school I was in a marching band and our competitions lasted all day and well into the night. They were so much fun though - I bet you daughter loves them.

I hope you are having a great Monday!

Hi Sharon!

Sounds like you're getting back on track! Good for you! I'm sure you'll be much better when you can see the sun :sunny: for an extended period of time. I wish I could bottle some...I'd send it straight up to you! Hopefully you've seen the last of the snow!

Your DD's dance competition sounded like lots of fun. DD has her first dance recital in May, and the other moms are already talking about what an ordeal it's going to be. Funny...stuff like that doesn't bother me. The kids are so cute, and a lot of them are really talented.

I hope that you're having a great Monday!

~Angela :wave2:

Well, Sunday is in the books and it was another good day as far as food goes. I took the kids to the movies to see Agent Cody Banks. I thought it was pretty boring, but they enjoyed it. It is geared towards kids, so it was what I expected. The bad thing is, I had popcorn and some Reeses Pieces. I still stayed with in my pts, but The food wasn't exactly OP.:o
My peek at the scale wasn't a pretty one this AM - it said 174.5! I am just NOT getting this. I have used 3 flex pts this week. Even if I estimated low on some foods, I should still be well below the limit for pts. Okay, yes, I have not been exercising. But should I be gaining .5 lbs per week because I don't exercise???!!!:earseek: I mean, I have REALLY cut out a lot of foods that I would love to eat. And it has become a way of life for me. Mentally, I'm there - I watch what I eat, I make GOOD choices. I may not be perfect, but jeesh, you'd think I would be LOSING a 1/2 lb a week, not GAINING! This scale has got me going NUTS!!!! And the clothes are telling me I haven't lost inches either - I am just STUCK here.
Well, this is a new work week. I am going to be so OP, its not even gonna be funny!! And darn it all, I'm gonna exercise till my legs feel like they are gonna fall off!!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I have had enough and I'm not gonna take it any more! If this week doesn't break this plateau, I am really gonna lose it!
My mom just went to WW for weigh-in, she lost 4 lbs this week. Since beginning of Feb, she is down 15 lbs!!!! Since beginning of January, I'm down 7 lbs!!! AAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!! This is just NOT cool or fair!!!
Okay - I'm done for now!
Yesterday's food:

100 oz water
B- 1 cup popcorn 1 pt
L- Lean Pocket Chicken fajita 4 pts, peanuts 4 pts
D- 1 cup lobster bisque 4 pts
S - popcorn and reeses pieces 11 pts

Total for the day 24 pts (target 22, flex 2 )

The :sunny: is out today, but it is COLD! The wind is blowing like crazy. It is supposed to warm up to about 50 by Wed, we'll see. I hope they are right.
Thanks for all the input on the dance competition. It is a long day, but unless you have kids in a few age groups, you usually don't have to be there the whole day. DD started at 7:30 AM and was finished by 3:30 PM. Some of the older girls started around 11:30 AM and their awards didn't wrap up till about midnight. But it is a lot of fun, for both her and I! I love music and dance, so I really don't mind watching.
Okay, thats my saga for today. I know there is not much you can say, but I needed to get all that stuff out. Thanks for listening!

Sharon,

You sound really determined to beat this plateau. With perseverance you will. The weight will start coming off, I promise. As for you DM losing so quickly. How much does she have to lose. If she's like me with a ton to lose, she will lose a lot at first. I promise that it will slow down though. I know that you are happy for your mom and proud of her too. It is hard to see someone else having results when you are plateau'd. Don't feel bad about feeling jealous. I'd be jealous as well.
I hope it warms up soon.

Hi Sharon,

I'm just stopping by. I hope you are having a :sunny: day.

Beth

Hi all!:wave2:
I AM having a good day. :teeth: I don't know why, but I just feel like I am about to beat this plateau. Just a feeling, but I feel really good and strong about this!:smooth:
So, yesterday was good food wise again. Of course, I didn't exercise yet again either. How I'm gonna beat this plateau without exercising, I don't know... But anyhow, after I finish this post, I'm gonna roll my bear for yesterday. And it is looking good for today too!
Yesterday's food was:

100 oz water
B- med bagel with butter 6 pts
L- string cheese and carrots 2pts
D - roast beef, mashed potatoes with gravy, broccoli 9pts
S - strawberries with whipped cream 2 pts, kudos bar 2 pts

Total 21 pts (target 22)

That's really it for today. I feel really :sunny: and positive! And I guess that's all that counts for now!!

Hi Sharon!

What a great attitude you have! I know you'll beat this plateau...with your determination and motivation there's no doubt about that! ::yes::

As for the exercising....wanna make a promise to each other that we'll both exercise tomorrow? I didn't get on the treadmill today after all, and I'm feeling so guilty about it. Obviously not too guilty though, or I'd be there instead of here. You can do it!

Hope you have a wonderful evening. I'm so happy that you're feeling so :sunny:!

~Angela :wave2:

I just wanted to stop by and say :wave2: Sharon. Sounds like things are on a pretty even keel. We are half way to Friday so hang in there!

WOO HOO! WOO HOO! I'm dancin'! I'm dancin'!:cool1: :cool1:
I did it! I got through the wall! Weigh in was this morning and that beautiful scale said 171.5!!! Yippee!! That is a 2.5 lb loss for the week and 9.5 lb loss overall! I know it is not much for some, but it was HUGE for me! :jumping1:
Yesterday's weight was 173.5, so I was really only expecting 173, which I would have been thrilled with. But 171.5 has me on top of the world. Add to that the :sunny: is out and we might hit 50 today = life is good today!
Now, if this isn't motivation to get back to my exercise, I don't know what will do it. But yes Angela, I will accept the pact with you!::yes:: We will both promise to exercise today. The :sunny: is out, so I'm thinking I may even go for a walk at lunchtime today (if I have time - I've been working through my lunches lately  )
So heres the details from yesterday:

100 oz water
B- 1/2 packet oatmeal (the rest spilled all over the microwave at work  ) 1.5 pts
L- Lean Pockets Chicken Fajita 4 pts, string cheese 2 pts, carrots 0 pts
D- steak 16.5 pts, lettuce salad
S - peanuts 4 pts

Total 28 pts (target 22, flex 6) It was okay to have a high pt day, because the rest of the week was all in the low 20's. Plus the points were all for good food.

So life is good, I am HAPPY today! And it feels a little bit like spring today!
:teeth: :sunny: :hyper:  :smooth:

Enjoy all that :sunny: and your walk today. I'll definitely get on that treadmill today since you've agreed to the pact. ::yes:: I was already talking myself into taking another day off, but now I won't. Thanks for the motivation!

:wave2: Hi Sharon,
Just stopping by to wish you a great day :sunny: !

I got to roll my bear again yesterday!:teeth: I've really been on a roll this week. Its funny how once I get OP, I find it easy to stay OP. Then once I go off, I just can't seem to bring myself back easily. It is totally a mental thing, but I can't seem to conquer it very easily. Yesterday they had all sorts of food here in the office. I didn't touch it. The hardest was chocolate mousse cake  which was sitting right next to me all day!!! But I didn't even have a taste!!:teeth: It took major control, but if I had been off plan the last few days, I KNOW I would have caved and had a piece! It is funny how that works like that for me.

And I FINALLY got back to exercise yesterday. I managed to get 20 min on the *evil* stepper. Now I just need to get back on again tonight! Angela, shall we make another pact? :smooth:
Here's the food for Wed:

100 oz water
B- Banana 1.5 pts, honey nut cheerios 2 pts
L - roast beef on rye, lt mayo and spinach 5.5 pts, carrots 0 pts, string cheese 2 pts
D - cup of chicken soup 2 pts, cheeseburger (from home) 8 pts

Total for the day 21 pts (target 22) I had enough to eat through out the day that I didn't even need snacks yesterday. ;)
It is kind of rainy/cloudy today, but the weekend forcast looks good, so that works for me. :sunny:
Thanks for all the support and positive comments on my loss for the week! It made me feel even better about my achievement!:hyper:

You are doing so great Sharon! Especially avoiding the chocolate mousse cake - I would have been a goner! :) Pat yourself on the back girl because you did awesome!

I know you will be back on the evil stepper tonight!

~Amanda

You're doing so wonderful Sharon! I've got some evil donuts sitting near me as well, but I'm being good!

Keep up the good work and have a great day!!!!:sunny:
