Sharon's Journal -150 here I come!

Sharon, what your son said was so funny! I hope you get back into the exercise routine soon - it is so easy for one or two days to turn into a week. I should know, it's happened to me plenty of times before.

Congrats on losing enough to drop your points level. I hope don't have too much trouble adjusting.

Congrats! You've lost enough to drop pointls level. That's major. You are in a whole new category. It's a milestone. I hope your transition is easy.
Beth

Sharon! What an adorable DS! Today is another day. You have been doing so well with your points, a day or two withouth exercise isn't going to hurt anything. Don't beat yourself up, it can become a motivation buster, and further erode your efforts. Get out there and do it. You will feel so much better. It's all the same isn't it? Once you are doing it, you feel good, it's just the getting to do it part that sucks. When you are thinking about it, get going, and get that grrrrreat feeling that comes with it! Have a great weekend!

Keep the Faith!
Tracy

I am pretty excited. I had an awesome day yesterday! Yes I did get my exercise in!! I did 40 min on that stepper!:p I do feel better about myself because I did it. One of my new years resolutions was to make the time for me and to exercise regularly. I really want to stick with that goal, it is important for my overall health, not to mention my weight loss. A BIG thank you to Steph, Marcia, Denise, Beth, Tracy and Holly for motivating me to "just do it". I have big plans to exercise again today, so keep holding my feet to the fire ladies!:Pinkbounc

Food wise I did very well. I had a low day, but didn't feel too hungry. I thought my day was even lower, but I messed up on the computer. Entered lunch, but didn't save it apparently, so the pts weren't in the total when I checked it. So, here's the dirty details:

100 oz water
B - honey nut cheerios 2 pts
S - string cheese, kudos bar 4 pts
L - roast beef on rye, lt mayo 5 pts
D - WW penne pollo 6 pts
S - M&M ice cream sandwich 5 pts

Total for day 22.5 ( target 22, .5 APS) I actually earned 4 APS, but only used the .5 That is okay, trust me, I have plenty of energy stored in this body of mine. And it certainly is a rare day when I have low pts, so it really isn't a problem for me.

This weekend looks to be pretty crazy. DD is in a play that is Fri and Sat night. In addition, we don't eat meat on Fridays during Lent. That gets very difficult because DH doesn't eat fish, DD doesn't eat eggs or cheese, I don't eat tuna. Now I ask, what does that leave for dinner????? 9 times out of ten, it is cheese pizza on Fridays during Lent. This could be tuff. I think, since DD has to be AT play by 6 pm, I'll get cheese pizza for them. I'm thinking I'll have a frozen stuffed sole and a big salad. And maybe, just maybe, 1 slice of pizza. We'll see how the pts add up on the day.

Yeah, my DS is adorable. He is always saying stuff to crack us up. :teeth: I need to write all the stuff he says down, because after a while, I forget it all, and I really don't want to forget a single moment!!::yes::

good job on that stepper yesterday, now just do it again today! i'll be sure to remind you later in the day if you're having trouble motivating yourself :p

great job keeping the points low yesterday. funny, i had a ww online mishap yesterday too! although, mine was the opposite, i entered something twice! but i realized it before lunch :). i hate it when that happens, you go input a long list of stuff, then forget to save! then you go back and it's all gone

so yes, today will be a challenge for you, being a friday in lent. my family usually does the pizza thing too, but since my parents are away, i'm in charge, so i'm making fish :). luckily, i do like fish. my brother doesn't, but he'll probably just pick up something for himself. looks like it's more of an obstacle for your family though. i'd definitely just get the pizza for them and do the stuffed sole for you, that sounds really good. and if you have the points available, a small slice of pizza won't kill you :)

good luck to dd this weekend! hope she knocks them dead :teeth:

good luck with dinner tonight, and with the *evil* stepper too :hyper:

Sharon,
Good morning! You are doing such a great job this week! You will conquer that *evil* stepper in no time at all! When I was in college, I used to do the StairMaster, but with my bad knee, I have to be careful of the repetitive motion. I think that you are doing a great job and you should be proud of yourself!!:Pinkbounc

Hope your DD does a great job this weekend! Enjoy your weekend and I hope that some abundant :sunny: comes your way! Keep up the good work Sharon and thank you for being an encouragement to us all!!!::yes::

Sharon~ You are doing so well--keep getting on that *evil* thing! I know the hectic weekend won't hurt you; you do such a great job with the challenges thrown at you. How adorable dd must be in the play! Have a great weekend; your flexibility is an inspiration to all of us! :)

Okay, I've been posting in everyone else's journals this AM, avoiding mine.
Yesterday wasn't so good. Pts wise, it was okay, but I am NOT happy about my choices.:guilty: I got the family pizza and I ended up going crazy with it. Why do I do this to myself? The scale was actually down to 172 yesterday morning. That put me 9 lbs down total. I was all psyched, thinking I might get to claim the 10 lb clippee this week. Then I go and binge! I think I'm just not ready for the pizza challenge yet. I LOVE pizza! I posted in someone's journal about how good it is where I live. I think next Friday, I have to figure something else out for the family to eat. I just can't do Pizza yet!:worried:

So heres the details of the day

100 oz water
B- apple cinn oatmeal, english muffin 4pts
L- none, too busy
D- stuffed sole, lge salad with spinach, tomatoes, cheese, lt dressing, 2 small pieces pizza 18 pts
S- 1 small piece pizza 4 pts

Total 26 pts (target 22, flex 4) After having a low day for the previous 2 days, I wanted to go up in my pts. But I was literally out of control. I planned 1 piece of pizza, which I had. However, it was cold when I had it. I don't like cold pizza, so it wasn't satisfying. So I heated up another small slice and had that. When we got home from DD's play, she wanted pizza. So I heated her 2 slices (that is all that was left) She ended up eating only 1 slice. Guess who scoffed down the other? :scratchin Can you guess??? Should I give you a hint??? M-E!!!!!!!!!! And that was at 10PM at night to boot! Arrrggghhhhh! I could just kick myself!
Well, the good news is that there is no pizza left over in the house. I can't sabbotage myself again!
I didn't get to exercise yesterday. Just way too crazy. I had dentist appt at 11:00 AM. Got back just in time to get DS and DD from school and go back to dentist. DS had a filling to get (remember that story from last week? ) So we finished there at about 2 PM, went and picked up the PIZZA (:crazy2:) and headed home. Made sole, salad, ate (didn't get lunch, remember?) and did laundry while also helping daughter get ready for play. Left again about 5:30 to get her there on time. Home at 9:45 PM, ate more pizza, fell asleep on couch! :faint:
I will do my exercise today. I am especially motivated after the pizza fiasco! That tease yesterday of the possibility of the 10lb clippee is egging me on!:teeth: I REALLY want to be able to say I've lost 10 lbs so far!
I've got more of that laundry to do, plus some major cleaning in the living room I promised myself. And then we are off to church for 4PM and be at the play by 6PM. I don't know what dinner will be, but I can promise you I will be making it here at home!;) No more eating out today!!!!
Alright, this BOOK is coming to an end. I hope you have a great day and thanks for listening to all my babbling!

Hi Sharon,
Don't beat yourself up too bad over the pizza! You will get that 10 pound clippie soon, I just know it ::yes:: ! I hope you have a nice time at your daughter's play :D .

aaaa, sharon, there just must be something going around here these days!!! i totally understand your feeling of losing control. and i hate it! at least you did stay within your points though. that's something to be happy about. and who knows? maybe you'll get that 10 pound clippie at your next weigh in, even though you "binged", cause at least you stayed in your points :)

and at least you now know that you are not to be trusted around pizza. maybe someday, but not now. if that's a trigger food for you, definitely stay away from it ::yes::

hope your busy busy day went well and that you had time to get on the *evil* stepper. just keep thinking about that 10# clippie, you're gonna get it, hope that helps to keep you going :bounce:

hope you had a great day today :sunny:

Hey guys!:wave2: Thanks for the support! I will get my 10 lb clippee. Maybe not as fast as I might like, but I WILL get it!!;)

Just a quick check in for yesterday. Ahhh, the best laid plans.... It was a busy day, got lots done, didn't do too bad on the food until the very end of day (more on that below.) Good news is, I did do 40 min on the stepper! Yeah! That also means I got an extra 4 APS, which I needed:rolleyes: But I am very pleased that I did do that exercise. It is very important to me to exercise a minimum of 3 times a week. I would rather do it 4 or 5 times, but no excuses for going below 3 times!!

Here's the day's food:

100 oz water
B- Banana 2 pts
L - LC Swedish meatballs, peanuts 10 pts
s- peanuts, popcorn 5pts (was very hungry for "snacky" food)
D - Mc Ds bacon Ranch Grilled Chicken Salad 6 pts
S - Cheesecake 1/2 slice 5 pts

Total 26 pts ( 22 target, 2 APS )

After my DD's play, all the kids were going to the diner. Of course I had to take her. I wasn't comfortable taking up a booth with DS if we didn't order food. (DD sat with her friends.) The cheesecake looked so good..... But I managed to only eat 1/2 slice. THAT is a real accomplishment for me. :p I really don't feel that bad that I had it, I am more impressed that I didn't just plow through it and eat it all. I will be happy with that small step for today!:teeth:

Not sure about my food plans for today. We will see. No NASCAR race, so I'm kinda waiting to see if DH has something he wants to do today. Don't know if I'll get to your journals, but please know I'm thinking of all my WISH buddies!
Oh Marcia, I got that banana bread recipe off the WW site. They were the ones that said 1 pt. Wonder what that means????

Hey, Sharon! I think everything looks pretty good--you stayed within your points and 40min. yesterday! That's great! I don't think the pizza should bother you; you did stay op and learned a lesson. I don't think this weekend is going to slow you down; that last pound will be gone in no time. That 10# clippie is going to look so great on you! ::yes:: Enjoy the rest of the day! :sunny:

Sharon,

18 cheat free days, thats great:Pinkbounc Good job with the cheesecake, that would have been hard for me to do. Hope you have a wonderful week!!

Holly

hey sharon, great job with that cheesecake! see, sometimes only a little bit will do to satisfy. how great is that!

as for the banana bread, i'm researching it. looks like it came from the community board. which could be why. sometimes, people underestimate points on there. this http://www.weightwatchers.com/community/rcp/detail.aspx?ID=172530 looks like the same one you posted, from the community board. i couldn't find it in the regular ww recipe search. if you think about it though, with 12 slices and 6 bananas, that means a half a banana per slice, which is about 1 point right there :( . i know this is a total bummer, but at least it's just 1 more point per slice. but at the same time, you've been counting it as only 1 point for so long now, and you've been doing just fine, so you could just stick to it :). i had a slice with my breakfast this morning, toasted and then put a little peanut butter on it. mmmmm. so good

keep up that great work on the stepper. 3 times a week is a great goal, and i'm sure you'll be doing 4 or 5 most weeks ::yes::

hope you have a wonderful day today :sunny:

Hi Sharon!
You are doing a great job with the *evil* stepper and with your points! I hope you have an awesome week this week!:sunny:

Tracy:teeth: :wave2:

Holly, Denise, Marcia, Tracy - Thanks for stopping by and for the encouragement. I honestly feel I am more committed to this WOL because of the support I get here in my journal.:teeth:
Well, after reading Amanda's journal, I decided that I too am going to set some short term goals for the month of March.

1.) Exercise for a minimum of 3 times per week. Try for 4 or 5, but at least 3 times!!
2.) Be cheat free for 23 out of the 31 days. That would be about 74% of the days. Feb I was cheat free for 65% of the time. I want to up that.
3.) Lose the 5 additional lbs to put me at 168 by March 31st. I had hoped to reach my 15 lb clippee by April 1st, but 7 lbs in 4.5 weeks is not looking too promising. I will still try, but for my journal, I'll stay with the lower goal.

I think I've been a little too sloppy on my weekends. I need to tow the line a little better on my weekends. I know I have a few things going on several weekends this month, but on the other weekends, I am going to do better to stay OP with HEALTHY foods, not just "stay in my points"!::yes::

So, here is my Sunday:

100 oz water
B - Banana 2 pts, english muffin 2 pts
L- liverwurst sandwich on rye 8 pts
S - strawberries with whipped cream 1 pt
D - ham and mashed potatoes 8.5 pts
S - strawberries with whipped cream 1 pt, cookies 3 pts

Total 25.5 pts (22 target, 3.5 flex)

The scale was up to 174.5 this morning. I am hoping it is just water retention from the ham yesterday.:( Although, I wouldn't be surprised if it takes me till Wed morning to get it back to 173.:o That is why I need to be better on the weekends!!

Last night, about 9:15, DH says "did you exercise today?" Darn it all, no!!! I forgot to!! I really meant to, but got so busy with my day, that I forgot to make the time for me. Man, old habits sure are hard to break!! I will exercise tonight though. That will be 3 times for this weigh-in week. If I do it Tues night as well, that will make it 4 times this week.:teeth: I am going to try for both nights. I need all the help I can get with that scale this week!

Have a wonderful day everyone! It is beautiful and :sunny: here in CT!

 Sharon,

You have some great goals for March. They are concrete and reachable. WTG! You have learned from this past month, and have a plan to improve on those thing in March. Have fun exercising tonight.

Enjoy the rest of your Mondayand the:sunny:
Beth

Sharon those are some great objectives! Don't forget to set yourself mini goals everyday to help you to reach those objectives! :) (Sorry to much business school).

I know you are going to do it and your plan looks great!

~Amanda

reading your march goals just reminded me that i said i was going to do some, but i forgot to! yell at me if i don't remember to do that in my journal today, okay? thanks :)

it's a good idea to focus on your week points, the WEAKends. hehe. of course, i know it's harder to stay on track on those 2 days, but as long as you tell yourself you're going to do it, i know you can. i'll be around to help you remember too :)

sorry about that scale going up. must be water retention, i'm sure of it, because you've been doing really well staying on plan ::yes:: .

hope you got that exercise in last night! the *evil* stepper was calling your name, i heard it :p

have a great day today, here's some :sunny: . i know it's dreary here in nj, i'm guessing it's the same in ct. so enjoy the fake :sunny: for now, the real stuff will hopefully be back soon :teeth:

Sharon, your goals look very doable. I'm sure you'll have no trouble meeting them this month.
