Sharing what I got signed from guest services

How Awesome!

We didn't do this on our first cruise and I think we will this time. :) When you drop things off, do you put everything you want signed (including gifts) inside a large bag with your name and stateroom number? Or how does this work?

Thanks! :flower3:

I can't tell you how great it is to see how those vinylmations look signed. I've been eyeing those on the website looking for the RIGHT one if I went that route. I've been thinking of getting a plush mickey or something and having that signed. Thanks for the pics and LOVE the mat.

Okay newbie here. Please someone explain. :confused3

I love this idea, but all I know is there is some kind of candy bribe involved. :) Can someone please start from the beginning!!

We were on the same cruise and we had the big vinylmations signed as well. They turned out great. Ours were white and pink and we just had them sign in black. We were told that they would only sign 4 things per cabin. I forgot to drop off any candy so they will definitely do it without but I am sure they appreciate it more with any extras .
We also had 2 picture mats done and they didn't do everyone like I had asked on the "allstars". Oh well they still look good!

OP- did you use the fine tip sharpies for the pillowcase as well? I was looking at fabric markers - but don't think I would ever use those again - sharpies get used all the time in my house.

Kathymford, this is a great way to get signed souvenirs from the cruise. You bring your own pillowcase, photo mat, or vinylmation I guess, to Guest Services after you board on embarkation day, with pens/sharpies and candy (good bribe) and it will be returned to you on the last day of your cruise with Character signatures. Great "free" souvenir. We brought a pillowcase for DD6 and didn't tell her about it and she found it when it was delivered to our stateroom. She loves it and uses it. Did one for DH too, without embroidery though. Hope this helps.

Have a great time on your cruise.

My son actually used the pillowcase that he got in the kids club from the Pluto Pajama Party!! I completely forgot to pack one, so DCL totally saved my butt!!:lmao: When I dropped it off, the desk asked me if I wanted the "classic" characters, princesses, or as many as possible. My son was only interested in the classics!! We left some candy with them as well!!

Well, I am jealous...On the Dream 3/27, despite me only having three items, and asking for as many characters to sign as possible, all we got were the main stars (Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Donald and Daisy)... DD8s pillowcase, our kitchen towel and photo mat look bare in comparison.

I guess that's another difference between the Dream and Wonder... :confused3

We were on the Dream 2/27 and first of all they would only do 2 items per cabin...fortunately we had 2 cabins because I have 3 kids!

I asked for as many as possible and the CM had to check with a supervisor because she told me they were only allowed to do the main characters. The supervisor she we could have more than the main characters but when I got them back, my boys had the main ones and my daughter had only the princesses. If I had know I would have just carried them around and have them signed (I have more pictures with characters than signatures!) I guess it is because of the new ship with new CM's.

They still look great!!

We were on the Dream at the end of Feb. I asked for all the characters, especially the princesses but only got the main characters-Mickey, Minnie etc, no princesses. I also included a box of Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies.

Since we are on the Dream I am becoming disappointed that my son's pillowcase may not have as many signatures as I would have thought. Hoping for some Pixie Dust next month. I also hadn't heard of bribing them. Think I should slip them a $20????:rotfl2:

Hi, this is my very first post, so hope I'm doing this right..:)

We sailed the Dream on 4/10. After boarding I headed straight to guest services to drop off my items for signatures. Christian at guest services told me only 2 items per stateroom. Luckily, we had 2 staterooms.
So, I dropped off 2 pillowcases and 2 photo mats. I also included candy as well as note thanking them for helping make our family's first cruise magical.
I asked for "All Available" or whichever that option is...I was concerned after reading the posts on here what I'd get back.

We were not disappointed. Every spot on the frames and the pillowcases were filled. They looked amazing! My sister came to look at them and even said, "Wow! You even got Jimminy Cricket?!" haha. We did, everyone from Mickey Mouse to the princesses to Toy Story characters..

Maybe we got lucky and I'm definitely thankful for the pixie dust that we were showered with for the time it took to sign all the items!!

Thank you Daynuh, we're going on our 1st cruise on the dream in 19 days & I was planning on doing the pillowcases for my DD & DS & I'm just hoping I get a lot of sigs for them. Reading your post gives me some hope that we'll get more than a few. I plan on bringing lots of candy to help!!!

I was on the same cruise as well. I dropped off my photomat and some jelly beans and asked for "everybody on the ship" to sign. I only got the main characters - no princesses, Peter Pan, Stitch, etc. So I guess I asked wrong or they didn't like my candy!
