Share your Magical Moments

only magical moment we ever got was on 12/9/05 at MGM. we went there thinking we are going to see the Narnia exibit. we went to the park early and i noticed the crowds are light. well DD9 and DN10 were hanging out at the entrance 2 stalls from us when a wonderful CM approched (sp) the girls and asked were there parents were. well i over heard him ask about parents and i thought they were in trouble LOL boy was i wrong. next thing we know he is asking us are names and he is walking us into the park. we walk about 200 feet in front of the entrance and the CM explains what we are doing. cool we are the family to open the park. we made the crowd yell louder after the first weak yell and opened the park. we got 3 free 5 x 7 pictures and a magical moments certificate. here is the link to see the picture and the certificate.

DS & I got a Magical Moments certificate after we rode Primeval Whirl 14times (without getting off) this past August

My daughter, almost three at the time (11/05), is a huge fan of Alice in Wonderland. We pursued Alice throughout the trip, but since we were shut out of the 1900 Park Faire Breakfast, we didn't have any luck.

On the very last day of our trip, we went to MGM and lined up near the end of the parade route. When Alice and the White Rabbit came by, I yelled, "Hi Alice! We love you!" Alice and the Rabbit both came over, pat my daughter on the head, and spoke with her for several seconds. (Fortunately my dh caught the moment on tape - priceless.)

Side Note - we bought the hat she was wearing at the time as a souvenir for someone else, but after the magical encounter, my daughter said, "The Rabbit touched my hat!" to anyone who would listen, so we let her keep it and bought another one. The next month, I had my own non-Disney magical moment when Bruce Springsteen reached over the heads of other fans and shook my hand. I immediately turned to my husband and said, "The Rabbit touched my hat!" It's our family signal for anything magical now.

Each of my boys received a Magical Moments Certificate at the Dec. 6th MVMCP. It was at the end of the party and we had stopped at the large gift shop in Tomorrowland and DS4 and DS2 were both buying a pressed penny book. The CM behind the counter took each boy behind the counter and allowed them to scan the books, showed them which buttons to push on the register and how to make change. While DS2 didn't really understand what was going on , DS4 felt really important and loved every minute of it.

While we didn't receive a certificate for this one, it was very special for DS4. He loves those big vacums that they use to clean up after the parades. On our last day there, DH asked one of the ladies using one, if she would pose for a picture with DS4 and the vacum. She promptly exclaimed "An admirer, I have never had an admirer before!" Not only did she pose for the picture, but she also let DS4 help her push the vacum and pick up some trash. He still talks about vacuming at Disney.

Oh RF536 - that is too sweet about the vacuuming!!! ha ha... does he want to come and do my house??? :rotfl2:

My DH and I had our own personal FairyGodmother during our honeymoon trip. We saw her all day--during the remember the magic parade (I think that is what is was called, this was in 1999) she hopped off of her float (after wildly waving at us and blowing kisses) and came right over to excitedly inform the family next to us that we were her royal guests and to take lots of pictures of her with us to ensure we got a good one to keep forever and ever as a commemoration of our special trip. I always get a huge grin and a teary eye when I see that picture of the three of us. What a magical memory--one of many! :goodvibes

My Dsis and I go often and try to sit in the same place for every parade. Well, last week when we went to sit down the parade CM's had used their masking tape to tape off our spot, put our initials in tape on the curb and stuck MM stickers in the middle of the box. We couldn't stop laughing and then just before the parade started, one of the CM's who recognizes us brought us each a cup of Hot Chocolate. We felt very special!!

When DD was about 10, we stayed for E-night (now EMH). About 11pm, we decided to head back to the hotel. Of course, most of the crowd had moved to the areas with rides. Main Street was practically deserted, but the music was playing. As we started down the street, DD asked me if it would be silly if she danced down the street. I told her to go for it. When else would she get the chance to dance down Main Street at WDW? She began dancing at one end of Main Street and danced all the way to the other end. No one was around to pay any attention but one couple who walked at a discreet distance behind us to watch. DD had a blast. I was enchanted. As we exited the park, the couple told me that watching DD was the highlight of their day.

We just had a fun one last week. We were at the MGM parade, and my 2 year old daughter was eating Doritos in her stroller. By far her favorite thing to eat on this trip was chips; if you got them out she would scream, "Oh yes, CHIPS!". Well, she was really enjoying this bag, so much so that her entire face and both hands were covered in bright orange nacho dust. During the parade, the evil Queen from Snow White stopped in front of her, stared for a long time, and then said to me, "She has a little something right here" and pointed to her cheek. It was so funny; that Queen is hilarious. A little while later Chip and Dale stopped and tried to take the bag away from my daughter (no luck for them). A very funny memory for us!

This August my best friends and I took a girl's only trip. We got all dolled up for PI on Thursday night and decided to catch the boat over to Downtown Disney. Our boat captain was so sweet! He kept us entertained and most magically of all. . . dropped us off at the Downtown Disney dock by House of Blues even though they don't use that dock anymore! He said that dock was closer to PI and we should get to the fun as quickly as possible. We had a fantastic trip overall, but Bob really made our night!

I have seen so many special moments, in my own family's experiences and other family's too! I guess the one that comes to mind was at Disneyland last September. During the parade this guy suddenly pulled his girlfriend out near the princess float, got down on his knees and proposed. He pulled the ring out, it was so touching. The crowd was going wild, she was crying, it was so neat. Then when he stood up, and they began to walk off, Goofy appeared and held up their hands so everybody could cheer some more. It was so sweet. Whoever they are, I hope they have a lifetime of happiness! Can't you just see them taking their kids to Disneyland someday and showing them the spot where mom and dad got engaged?

In 2000, DW & I took our first "no-kids" trip. On our ressie, I asked them to note we were celebrating a second honeymoon. At check-in, the CM noticed it on her computer and upgraded us from a standard room to a top floor, corner room with a lakeview (Coronado Springs). The view was gorgeous! We were just talking the other night about how we both agreed that's been our best trip so far.

In '05, we celebrated DW's birthday at MK. When we walked in Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe, one of the CMs noticed DW's b-day button. She picked up the phone, called DW over and said someone wanted to speak to her. It was Goofy, wishing her a happy birthday! Classic moment!

:bday:

Okay dd 4 and I had two very magical moments back to back on our last trip (9/05). I had an ADR for Crystal Palace for 8am on a normal entry day. DD and I got there early and were one of first to check on for the breakfast. As dd and I walk in a CM asks if dd would like to be the Chef for the day. Well dd had a blast decoration pancakes with Pooh, Tigger, Eyeore, and Piglet. After we were able to take pictures with all four charaters. During breakfast the characters gave her all sorts of extra attention. The CM gave her a magical moment certificate for being Pooh's chef for the day.

After we were done we went through the castle to the rope right outside CRT. We were the only people waiting there. As we are waiting I show DD tinkerbells treasures and tell her as soon as the rope drops run to that store and you will get to do something special. Well rope dropped and DD ran - she was the first child in the store so she was able to wake up TInkerbell. (She got a magical moment cert. for this as well). As the CMs were getting her a wand to use to wake up tinkerbell another little girl came running in. WHen this child saw she was not the first child in she got very sad and upset. DD not really knowing what was going on said to me and the CM "Why can't we both do it?" That was my magical moment as a mom. So dd and this little girl both got to wake tinkerbell up that day. I was very proud of dd for sharing her magical moment with another little girl (without me having to tell her!)

I have a weird special moment. My 6 year old ds is autistic and has a fascination with rope. He has a favorite rope that he carries everywhere. Well, coming back from MGM, we somehow lost the rope. DS was crying hysterically. Of course, I start to cry too because my Dad had just died a month earlier and I knew my DS was probably feeling the same loss, but for a different reason. You need to understand, this rope was like his best buddy. Well, here we come through AKL lobby, ds crying about losing his rope. He spent a couple of hours in his room, crying softly about his rope being gone. We finally convinced him to come downstairs to look at the animals. When we came back to our room, someone (a cm, maybe) had placed a brand new rope in the room. Weird, isn't it. I can only imagine that a cm must have heard ds crying in the lobby, but how did they know what room to go to? :sad2: Anyway, it was a magical moment for ds, who immediately took to the new rope!

That is so wonderful. (I can't believe I'm sobbing like a baby too, over your son's lost rope.) Where else, but WDW would they try to make it better.

Yours is a very touching story. Thank you for sharing it.

If anyone says there is no more magic in Disney, we know they are wrong. The wonderful cm's make magic happen every day! :thumbsup2

We'd spent an evening at Epcot last month and were waiting for our bus back to ASMovies. As usual there was a long line, and since we had DD7 and DS2.5 plus a stroller, we decided to pass on the standing room only bus and let others move ahead of us. CM Charles came over to make sure everything was going okay, and we struck up a conversation. We'd told DD that she could start pin trading on our next trip, and when DD noticed Charles' lanyard she told him about our deal. He talked to us for about 15 minutes while we waited for the next bus. As it approached he held out his hand to say goodbye, and when I shook it he transferred to me one of his pins. He then whispered that he knows that most parents instruct their kids not to take things from strangers, so he wanted to pass DD's first official pin off via me. That small gesture made the night for all of us. :goodvibes :wizard:

I prefer to think your Dad had something to do with it. Perhaps Johnny worked through a CM. IMHO, miracles are very real and we don't really lose our loved ones. They move to a different plane of existance, but they are always with us and watching over those they love.
