Update: I was able to book the desert party by manually overriding the date in this format... mm/dd/yyyy. In other words I had to put the 0 in front of the 8 and it worked just fine! HTH.

That is exactly how I did it too.

I don't know how many people you have, but when I put in the dates I am showing for 2 people a 9:20 pm on the 27th. Don't know why that time comes up though.

I've been using that date format and get that stupid "this event is not scheduled for this date" message which I now know is an error and simply means it's booked. Because I get that message for August 26 and 28 but I get a 9:10 opening on the 27th but we're not at MK that day.

Have you done deluxe before?

Me and my two teen sons did it a few years ago during free dining. We slept thru most of our breakfast ADR's as the time change was kicking our booties. We ended up only making it to 2 of the 3 ADR's that we had each day. Just TOOOOOO much food and with the 95+ degree heat we weren't that hungry. It was fun trying so many places tho! Enjoy!

We haven't but we will have an 11mth old when we go so getting up won't be a problem and we thought the long lunches would make great breaks for the kids. Plus this will be our only time to try it for awhile, our daughter is turning 9 while we are there so next trip she will be a disney adult and since her pallet still consists of grilled cheese and chicken fingers I think it will be awhile till its worth it for us to buy the Dxddp. Can't wait to eat ourselves through disney though.

Can I please ask HOW you make a reservation for the Wishes Desert party. I tried calling and the CM that I spoke to said that there were NOT any planned for August 26 or 27. This was last week.

But on the DIS people are posting that they have ADR's for those dates. I tried to do it online but the website is showing July only. If I try to override the field and put in August dates it either a.) defaults back to today's date or b.) says that nothing is planned for those dates at this time and to check back ??

I'm sure it's too late now anyway but I'm sad and frustrated that you CAN'T make them online and the CM's at 407-WDW-DINE say that they aren't having them those nights.

I know the dessert party is happening on the 26th I had a reservation for that day and changed it to the 24th.

My family will be at the Dessert Party on the 24th as well. We are celebrating my sons 13th birthday that day!!!!

Were celebrating our sons 1st and daughters 9th too! Try to say hi we will be the ones with the infant in a green stroller and fingers crossed happy noncrabby kids

Boy do I hear you on the daughter turning 9 situation...get's much more expensive!!!! We did the deluxe during free dining one year because it wasn't very much more to upgrade. Sure was fun trying all of those yummy restaurants! We would take our desserts to go so that we could enjoy them later.

I will look for you, you shouldn't be that difficult to find with a green stroller. It will be 4 of us, as my older DS doesn't like Disney. I think he was switched at birth

Its our first time to go to Ohana and I'm very excited!!

OH my gosh my family 'Ohana! We are eating there 3 of our 6 nights this year . We crave it all the time.

I'm not even a big red meat eater normally but the steak there is melt in your mouth tender and I find myself dreaming about it sometimes!

TIP: You must save room for the bread pudding dessert. Once again, not normally a fan of bread pudding and really dislike banana's in anything but the bread pudding is to die for! We got the recipe the last time we were there and have made it twice at home but it's just not the same.
