We'll be taking a day away from our WDW honeymoon in December to do Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure. I set aside 2 days, 1 for each park, last trip and found that to be too much time for this casual Universal fan. My husband has never been, though, so we are going for his benefit mostly. Given that we are two adults and will start at Islands of Adventure at park opening (9am-6pm on 12/6), what would be the best touring advice you can give us? Thanks!

It would help to know if you like or dislike roller coasters and if you mind getting wet in December. Since we don't know that here is a possible scenario that will take you in a circle around both parks. If at any time you feel the lines are too long you can always opt for an Express Pass but wait until you think you need one. 12/6 that would be doubtful, crowds should be light:

1. Incredible Hulk
2. Spiderman
3. Ripsaw Falls if you want to take a chance on possibly getting soaked
4. Popeye/Bluto Bilge Rat Barges if you want to guarantee it (if you do, do this one before Ripsaw Falls so you don't have to backtrack)
5. Jurassic Park River Adventure(mild chance of getting wet)
6. Dueling Dragons
7. Cat In The Hat (for the child in you)
Leave for US
Check what time the next Terminator 3D show is
Simpsons
MIB
Jaws
The Mummy
Twister
Jimmy Neutron
Shrek
T2
ET
The Horror Makeup Show if you can walk into it

Well I'm a big universal fan so I would definitely do 2 days at least, but if you can't.

IOA first - Spiderman, Jurassic Park River Adventure, and just tour the park, eat at Mythos for lunch.

Universal - The Mummy, Jaws, MIB, Simpsons, Terminator, new coaster Rip Ride Rocket.

Anything else you can squeeze in afterwards.

Thanks! We will do the roller coasters and the shows. Given that we're only casual fans and won't be doing some of the more kid-friendly attractions (i.e Shrek - big waste of time for us), I think 1 day is more than enough time. We won't do a sit down lunch, so no big lag there. Appreciate your thoughts :-)

I was looking for this too we are going to be there in early dec 1-10 one of them days. our group is 8 people lots of coaster likers and wet riders. ages 42,37,25,18,16,16,13,3 yrs. are there touring plans online that can be found? I got some really good ones for disneyworld but can't find anything for universal??

E.T. is technically a kiddie ride, but as an adult I really like it. It is old, but IMO it really holds up, I just love the feeling of flying, so smoothly and the different sets it takes you through, and I even love the que line, it is so cool IMO. I would do it if you had time. Its not at the top of the list, but its always on our list.
