I am still convinced that I will lose weight. My scale keeps moving up and down a few pounds every day, so I don't know if I really have lost weight. But I am working on it!
Just signed up for a local 5K. That should give me some motivation!
I actually did really well last week, stayed within my calorie count every day but Saturday. Had to go to a wedding and nothing at a wedding is low cal LOL...
I also worked 30-60 minutes a day and John and I bought bikes on Friday night so we rode yesterday about 3-4 miles. This will give us one more activity to get us up and moving I hope. I enjoyed it and it didn't feel like exercise.
So overall I was pretty happy with what I did for week #2
I am so glad this thread was started. I jumped on the scale (well not really cause it would of broke) and lo and behold I have lost 6.6lbs. I am writing everything that goes in my mouth down and have started exercizing again.
Oh, my! I realized that I am far more active on weekends. I do fitness things on weeknights unless I have to work late. I should do something on lunch break on work late days, but I don't.
I am going to continue writing down what I eat. Every "bite, lick, and taste". I like almonds - but it is too easy to eat too many out of the bag! I need to portion control them.

We had my son's birthday party on Saturday, and then the traditional Sunday brunch at my in-laws on Sunday, so it wasn't great, but I did at least just try to take a bite of this and a nibble of that, rather than stuffing my face.
I was down 3 pounds when I did my weigh in, so that is good.
I've been doing good at getting my exercising in, whether it be strength or walking. Still need to work on getting my low back muscles stronger, though.
Sounds like everyone had a good weekend. Mine was so/so. I tried not to eat too much of the bad stuff, but I had some.
This week is going to be crazy too.
Congrats to everyone who lost weigh this week!!!
I have not run in a couple pf days but I did more physical work at work on Saturday then I have done in a long time. We moved and planted 400 shurbs and perennials. I could not move on Sunday. My wife and I are going to run tonight. We may have to go to the rec center because of the rain though.

Congrats to all of you that have lost weight!
Everyone's efforts are great, keep it up!
I have been lost without my car, been home a week and a half and have not been able to get to the gym.
I wanted to walk on the weekend, but had a funeral to attend, which kept me hopping.
Today is a total go here go there day for me.
I have to take DH to work as I need his truck. So it looks like no exercise for me this week either.
Tomorrow is my wiegh in day!
However on the upside I have been right on track with my food, and choosing lots of veggies and friut.![]()
My "small goal" for the week is to limit mindless snacking.

walked 1.75 miles this morning. Our walk path was being resurfaced so, we were limited on where we could walk. I managed to drink 8 glasses of water today. I was brought a Free lunch today that contained a huge sandwich, chips, cookies, and an orange. It was so much food that I have split it into two lunches and breakfast for tomorrow.
I have been doing very well with eating so far this week, but still no structured exercise. I don't know what my problem is. One step at a time though...I'm not going to look at it as all or nothing which has been a problem for me before.
Find a friend to go out with you to walk, run or whatever you choose, it makes it a whole lot easier and helps with the motivation when there is someone there to get you going. Start out small then add a little each day. Don't try to do it all on the first time out or you will fail. Just think of your prize at the end of the 18 months the Cruise with all of us. We are here to support you too.

If you haven't seen it check out Eat this Not That series of books, it is a huge eye opener as to the calorie counts of so many things and at least gives you some alternatives..
