Shape Up Shoes? Who has them?

I have been wearing my Therashoe's from KMart since October. Same concept, but only $30 instead of $100.

They are very comfortable. I have the all white ones.

You can see them at www.therashoe.com online.

I bought the size I normally wear. They may be good to try at a lower price to see if your body can handle them and if they are comfortable to you (I wear mine with arch supports because I have bad arches).
Thank you!!

I've been watching this thread for the past few days and debating with myself about getting the Sketchers. I couldn't really justify spending $100 on a pair of shoes that I might wind up hating, so I've been waffling about ordering them.

Now I can try the concept at $30.00 and trade up if I love them. Thanks again, rszdtrvl! :flower3:

Yes, I thank you too! :goodvibes

I would like to try these shoes first, before I buy something more expensive. Not sure I'll even like these kind of shoes, so this will be the ticket for me.
I'll trade up too if they work out. Thanks again!

I've had the black and white Shape Ups for over 2 months now. I'm in remission from a rare muscle disease, 2 years ago the disease too away my ability to walk. So now, I'm learning how to walk all over again. The Shape Ups has really helped me! They take the pressure off my legs and they make it easier for me to get around. The shoes are amazing! Totally worth the money!

Mine are the all-white ones. I like that clean, new look to them.

I have to work all afternoon, so at least I know I will be comfy while on my feet!

Now I just bought the Therlo socks as recommended by someone on another thread. These are supposed to be REALLY top of the line socks to help prevent blisters. They are designed to be for distance walking. Between the new socks and Shape-Ups, I hope I will be OK during my upcoming Disney trip!

Look for me in the parks....if you don't see the lime green Mickey head, at least you can find me by my shoes!

Walmart (who else :lmao:) has a knockoff of these. I just saw them on an endcap this morning. They were out of my size, otherwise I would have bought them for the heck of it. From a distance, they look a lot like the Skechers one (thick sole, cute sneaker like shoe) which I like. To me, the Reebok ones look orthopedic when I really want a trendy, fun shoe that may help me move a few muscles. The Walmart sign didn't give as many claims as the name brands, but it did say that you moved more muscles and increased exercise or something like that. They are $25 full price.

I thought the black and white ones were cuter, but here's a link to the white ones:

You're welcome!!

:)

I had some errands to run today, and while I was out I bought a pair of the Therashoe, at K-Mart. They had 3 styles; all white, all black, and white with a vivid blue, almost aqua stripe. I really wanted the white with the blue stripe, but they didn't have my size. I asked a sales lady if everything was out and it was. What to do. What to do. I tried on the all white and I liked it. They really do look a lot like sketchers from a distance, as a pp stated. It's a good thing I liked it cause it was the only size 7 1/2 they had. I thought about going to another store to look for a pair with the blue stripe, but nixed it. I felt lucky to get a pair in my size!

I tried them on twice and walked around a bit in the aisle. Just one shoe, kept my other on. It felt funny, but I could get used to it. Thinking. Thinking. They look like platform sneakers! :upsidedow  After I purchased them, got back to my vehicle and sat down, I had a butt cramp on one side. Luckily it didn't last. But I hope that is not an omen for these shoes. :rotfl: I'm thinking it's just because I had on the one shoe.

The Danskin shoe looks nice too! Ten bucks cheaper! Darn. They look very similar to what I purchased. My pair from K-Mart was $34.99. If I had seen the post about Wal-Mart I would've looked there too for the shoe. Funny thing, I was at Wal-Mart today. Just wasn't there for shoes. Oh, I'm just going to be happy with what I have. I have them on right now. They feel great! :)

I'll have to look for the Therlo socks. They sound nice!

Thanks again for the recommendations, everyone. :) I'm really glad I asked. I'll update later how they work out.

I just bought the Walmart ones, Danskin Now, in black. Boy are they comfortable!!!! I haven't worn them for any long period of time, just to try them on. I can't wait until Tuesday so that I can wear them to work. It will be interesting to see how my legs feel at the end of the day!!! Can't beat the $25 price tag!!

My co-worker has the one by Sketcher. She really likes hers.

Hey, that's great! :thumbsup2 Mine are comfy too! And you're right, you can't beat the price! I'm really liking the shoes. I have noticed I need to be a little careful with sudden turns and such. Not the same as regular shoes. To me, they respond a little differently. I almost tripped one time. Enjoy, but be careful!

A couple of these posted around the office should cover it:thumbsup2

I love my Danskin now ones. I haven't worn them out in public much (just around the house and neighborhood) till I get better at walking in them because especially in winter I don't want to slip on the snow and ice. But especially trekking around the college campus..these are going to be great!

I picked up the Easy Spirit "Get up and go" ones yesterday. Great sale at Bon Ton. They aren't as tall or tippy as the Shape-ups I tried on. I usually only spend a few hours at a time breaking in new shoes... I have had these on all day.

I have plantar fasciitis and these so far are the best thing my feet have seen!

Good luck to everyone in their quest for the great exercise shoe!:cheer2:

I finally broke down and bought a pair of the Easytones. I wore them for a couple of hours yesterday and they were very comfortable. My problem is that when I am in the house, I am barefoot. So I am not going to get a long workout with these shoes unless I change that.

You are not going to find a sale on these shoes, I'm afraid. I had a hard time finding them on-line, and when I did they were out of stock. I finally found some at Zappos. I bought 2 pair different sizes, and they are pretty much true to size. With Zappos it's free shipping both ways, so I had nothing to lose by ordering two pair.

I found the Sketchers at Shoe Carnival and Rack Room-those are UGLY! Too ugly even for me, I'm afraid. The Reeboks are cute and don't look like orthopedic shoes.
