Shaken, Not Stirred, With a Twist of Pixie Dust! A Food and Wine Trip!NEW! Pgs.75,76

Don't you just hate writing Monday on the board?
I quite like it when I am writing Friday.

This week, I will be happy enough writing Thursday, because the kids don't come Friday. We have meetings and we're hoping to get some time in our rooms. Whatever we do, though, I'll just have my mind on the girls' arrival in the afternoon to whisk me away! :yay:

I'm looking forward to Toy Story pictures. You can put up all you want this week, but starting Friday, I'm gonna need you to sloooooow it down for a few days...until we get back! I don't want to miss anything! :)

My week has not started off well -- I am hoping it gets better as it goes along. At any rate, it will help knowing that you are at our favorite place starting on Friday! :goodvibes

I'll try not to update too much while you are gone. ;)

My first trip I drove down I-4, yowsa! My second trip I went in the back way, sooooo much better. Zero cars! I was hoping that I hadn't taken a wrong turn and gotten into a place where I could see Disney but I "couldn't get there from here." :sad2: :lmao:

It is always so quiet along that way, it's easy to think it couldn't possibly be the correct way!

yay!!! i finally made my way over here. will be back later to catch up - just wanted to sub. :)

Hi, Dawn! I am so glad you made it over! There isn't too much to catch up on yet!

That is too funny - we went to Toy Story 3D as well yesterday! :thumbsup2 I love those movies - I laughed out loud so much!

Me too -- on both the loving and the laughing! :goodvibes

Yeah, an update! LOL! You may want to take Charles water away next time! LOL!

I tried to this time, but he wasn't having any of that!

You are so much more patient than me with the potty stops. I'd be outside the bathroom door tapping my toe constantly. :lmao:

:lmao: I pretty much was doing just that after groaning loudly and often in the car.

I was seriously hoping that you were off today and you were going to grace us with an update!!!!! Oh well, I will be happy to settle with a 3D Toy Story update! I bet the 3D version was super cool!

It was super cool! It made me fall in love with the movies all over again!

I think I would go crazy with all the stops. I don't blame Charles for bringing his own pillow though. If I lived close enough to drive my pillow would make the trip also. Can't wait to see what Plan A, Plan B, and Plan C are along with what country you were in.

Charles is becoming quite opinionated in his car trip ways. ;)

I should be updating in the next few days after I do the Toy Story update.

I some how missed your start.
7 potty breaks? Wow. At least you finally. My hat goes off to you for not losing it. Checking in I'm trying very hard not to lose it when the Magic kingdom is waiting and the CM can't find my resort ressie.
Hope Connor is feeling better!:lovestruc

I tried very hard to not lose it since I knew it was just going to be the two of us for the next four days.

Connor is not feeling any better -- we went to the doctor today and he has a sinus infection. Hopefully now that he has an antibiotic he will get better soon.

Aww Jackie...that's an awful lot of rest stops...:confused3

but I do have to say...I am feeling just a little sorry for Charles...I mean he can't help it...can he?...:confused3

Hoping Connor is on the mend...:goodvibes

 No, Charles couldn't help it since he insisted on drinking constantly.

Now that Connor has an antibiotic, hopefully, he will be on the mend.

I'm late to the party, but I'm checking in now!

Hi!!! :yay: You're not late at all!

Guys rule!!!!!!:thumbsup2

You wee all you want Charles!

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

I am sure he could help you with your restroom ratings after this trip! ;)

Yay, you started! That many breaks would have driven me nuts, too, but I am so impatient anyway. Can't wait hear what happens next!:goodvibes

I am so impatient -- it was killing me!

Oh man I can sympathize with the potty break frustration; we used to drive down every year from Maine! :headache: When our DD was in diapers it was fine, but the first trip down after she was potty trained, we had to stop so many times I thought it was going to add an extra day to our trip. We've flown ever since!!

I'm enjoying your report and pictures!!! :thumbsup2

If we were any farther away from Disney than we are, I would be flying, too! 7 -- 8 hours is my absolute limit in the car.

You know I can’t go too long without Chelsea and Connor stories, so I figured I would share with you what we did this weekend:

As soon as Chelsea, Connor, and I saw that Toy Story and Toy Story 2 were being released as a 3D double feature, we knew we needed to head to the theater to see them.

I remember seeing Toy Story for the first time and loving every minute of it. Later on, when Chelsea was little, she, too, fell in love with it. She even insisted on having her own Woody and Buzz toys which we have since rediscovered at the bottom of Connor’s toy box because, of course, Connor, also, went through his own Toy Story phase.

We decided Sunday was the big day. When I went to the grocery store on Saturday, I stocked up on movie theater candy which the Little Green Men and the Toy Soldiers discovered and dragged out to the kitchen table.

Can’t you just hear the Little Green Men ahhing in wonder over the Junior Mints?

More Army Soldiers on the move…

Connor had not been feeling well all weekend, so I wasn’t sure if we would actually go or not. However, he insisted that we go -- after all, he had a new Toy Story shirt to wear.

Here we are! Had to get a picture in front of the movie poster!

After buying a large popcorn and drinks, we got settled into our seats for three hours of Woody and Buzz!

Really, I don’t think 3D glasses do anything for us in the way of style.

The movies, despite the fact that we pretty much know them by heart, were amazing. Digitally remastering them and adding the 3D element really made them visual masterpieces. The colors seemed brighter and everything seemed to “pop” more. As a result, the jokes were funnier, the poignant scenes more tearful, and the whole experience just delightful.

I believe I can truthfully say that all of us fell in love with Woody and Buzz all over again.

Bring on Toy Story 3!

I really want to see them! I wonder if I can talk my kids into going with me this weekend... :confused3

I loved your Toy Story update. I have a question is there am intermission? I want to take Lexi but I am worried about her sitting the whole time.

See now I'm going to have to figure out how I can go see Toy Story LOL!!! What a great day you guys had I'm glad you were able to go and enjoy the movie!!

Love the army men and little green aliens taking over the movie theater candy...too funny!!!

I'm really looking forward to Toy Story 3!!!

Very cute post Jackie! Now I want to go too! Connor looked pretty good for feeling a little puny.
Just went back and read page 11, so I now know that Connor isn't feeling better today. I hope tomorrow is a better day for him.

I love Toy Story/and Toy Story 2...:lovestruc...they definitely make my top 10 Dis films list...

I love the little green men and the army men with the candy...and I noticed that they are the "official" Toy Story army men...Smart mom...:thumbsup2

Now my dilemma is do I let my inlaws take David to see Toy Story in 3D or Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs this weekend while Eric and I are aways...hmmm....

I think I'll let them do Cloudy-I can rent it-but how often can you see Toy Story in 3D?:woohoo:

Poor Connor-Sinus Infections can be miserable:sad2:-a couple days of the antibiotics should have him feeling much better...:goodvibes

Wow! I can't believe how much more grown up Connor looks. Tell him to stop growing! ;)

Like I said on Facebook, Marc & I are going on Thursday night. I really want to go and see them, especially Toy Story 2 as I don't' own that one. Marc has NEVER seen Toy Story 2! Eeek!

Rob took A. to see it and they stayed for both movies. He said the same thing you did. I want to see it now!!

I thought the same thing! And I didn't realize Chelsea has her braces now!! Love what you did with the candy and toys!

We also went to see the movies and enjoyed them. My DD was a little dissapointed though b/c she was expecting 3D like Mickey's Phillharmagic kind of 3D. The preview for A Christmas Carol had the 3D snowflakes that came out at you and made you think you could touch them. That is what she was expecting from the movies. She just kept saying, "I don't see any 3D! Where is it?". I couldn't get her to understand it. But we had a good time anyway. I agree that the color was awesome.

Oh! I might have to do that this weekend!!!!!!!!

Maybe just Eric and I, Evan has a 24 hour long bday party...could be fun to do with just Eric. I love Toy Story and (for shame) never saw Toy Story 2.

Those little green men crack me up. Who knew there was such a thing as cookie dough bites? I only look at the swedish fish.

Are Chelsea's braces new?? I don't recall them in the pictures on your last TR. Kendall has added hardware since our trip as well.
