Bummer that we're going to miss MNSSHP - thought we might still be able to get to another date, but the last one is 31 Oct and we fly out that day - not enough time!
Still we'll get a refund - that'll pay for the car hire on the new trip.

Personal detour from the PTR: Please bear with me.




We've had some terrible news.

I wont say too many details or specifics on a public board but my brother is in the military and one of his best friends and another Team member were killed in Afghanistan late last week. His tight unit is devastated. I've been out of town with him and trying to figure out if I am going to the funeral at Arlington next Monday or not.

I'm waiting on word if there will be a memorial in San Diego for him after we get back to decide. Tickets to Washington DC are almost $700 so that throws a huge wrench in my budget but we are close to the family so I feel I need to go. My brother says I should honor him with a beer at EPCOT and enjoy the freedoms I have to go on my vacation instead of going to the funeral. My brother will be a pallbearer at the funeral and most of my other familly will be able to make it. I'm torn.

Please pray for their families as they deal with the loss of their sons, grandsons, brothers, fathers, husbands, nephews and uncles. Jason and John, you will be missed.

Rest Easy brave warriors, your mission is complete.

Thank you ladies. I just talked to my brother and he said they are waiting on exact word when a Team is coming back to San Diego so they can have a memorial service there. Then I will go to that one. I'm pretty sure it will be after I get back, if not I can come home a day or two early.

I'm going to start working on costumes now to get back into the WDW mood. Then tonight I'll catch up on all the other PTR and TR's out there I've been missing out on.

I just have the relaxing time planned for the last couple days. They are like family to us so I dont mind giving up a day or two to honor him.

Yeah! we video tape everything so I was really upset about ours being broken for the trip. This is really great knowing we just paid $200 out of pocket for it too!

I always think of credits as "free money"

I guess one way is to vote. Get out and vote no matter what. Another is to live each moment breathing in the sweet freedom we are allowed in this country because of the sacrifice these men have made. I am sure what is best for you and your family will become clear. Follow your heart.

We may not know about the memorial service in San Diego for another week or so. Right now everything is on schedule.

Ok last night I got home after midnight because I went to dinner with my brother again who lives out of town. My mom and i wanted to take him out one more time to talk to him. The drive back was brutal. I was afraid I was going to fall asleep.

Anyway, I got a little sewing done yesterday. Pants for the white rabbit and the jacket. I'm working on the shirt. I bought a yellow shirt but I dont like it. I'm too tired to sew today and not in the mood so I'm going to sort through some change!!!

I'm very strange! I LOVE CHANGE! Not Change as in the politcal talks but change as in money!!! Dimes, Quarters, pennies nickels etc. I love to roll change. Jeff tries to get me to dump it in those machines at the grocery store. He takes away my fun! I have tons of change in a Prego jar sitting here that I need to pick out the pennies (pre-1982 of course) and roll the rest. Its amazing how fast loose change adds up.

I searched loose change on photobucket and I got this.

I guess that is one way to get change!!! Maybe I should do that to Jeff each night he comes home.
