You are obviously an amazing mother and I love to see the photos of the two of you. . .they are so beautiful! It always surprises me to see how far back the DIS friendships go. Funny, they are far more genuine than most in our "real lives". I did not know where to post this, so sorry D for hi-jacking, but I did not think you'd mind, since you already know how amazing Lisa is!

I came back to the boards the summer after Jim died (was off about 2 years due to life getting in the way) I was welcomed back with open and supportive arms from my scrapbooking family and wander into the Wish Trippers area where I've met so many more wonderful friends and a lot have become our Family too! have been blessed this past year with meeting 17 of my DIS peeps and hope to meet somemore this year too!

OK, quick update then we have to run!!!

Had a decent day at DHS yesterday... The girls drug me on RnR... I drug them on Star Tours... V drug us on TSM... And they both tried to drag me on to ToT... What do you think - did I do it???? Hmmm... Stay tuned.

We had a delicious lunch at 50's... Even met a Diser - Gotta go find him when we get home. I wrote hist named down, but then proceded to leave the napkin behind. I'll leave the rest of the lunch story for my TR - but the food was fantastic!

We left at about 4:30 - pouring rain... Once we got back to POFQ, we really didn't want to leave agian for F! - so we decided that we will try to do it on our night off, if we feel like it. We've seen it before - so we know what we are missing out on.

We are headed to AK today - we are all looking foward to this park - We don't understand how others don't really like it, because it is one of our Favs, and we have 2 days scheduled here for this trip.

I hope you all have a wonderful day... Keep posting all of your projects, even though I just don't have time to reply to all of them, I love seeing them and, yes Andrea, it makes me feel so popular.

Wean yourself from Dis? That would be like weaning oneself from fabric shopping -- utterly impossible! Besides, we're threadjacking while D is gone (not sure what's up with all her little phone in reports -- but if we all pretend we're here to support D~ she'll never know the difference).

You get some really nice things if some of those are from swaps. When you come to visit Judy if you could just drive with a Uhaul and bring all your supplies to help me out a bit I'd appreciate it I'll make you some shirts in return. I used to have a couple of friends I scrapbooked with -- my favorite passed away (breast cancer) and the other won't speak to me b/c we sent her child home since he wouldn't stop using foul language in our house -- she was livid and hasn't spoken to me since -- been about two years now....

sorry I'm not driving cross country especially pulling a u-haul but welcome you to come over the the creative community and join in on our scrapping fun!!!

GORGEOUS!!! My Lisa would LOVE it, especially those pants, and Rachel would take a pair of pants in every color. The brighter the better, she LOVES it which cracks me up.... Did I miss a picture of Alexa wearing it??? With her NEW HAIRCUT (when the camera comes home, of course)!


I saw so many people YELLING at their children IN DISNEY! Broke my heart.

I will have to see what size this pattern goes to -- it would be a very comfortable dress for Lisa. Yes, you missed the pic of Alexa wearing it b/c I never took one! Next time she wears it I will try to snap a pic. I never seem to have time to in the morning before school though as I spend all my free time in the morning nagging her to get out of bed and get dressed.

Thank you for the kind words about my sewing I couldn't quote what you said b/c it was a quote in a quote but you were so very sweet.

People yelling at their kids drives me batty (not that I can claim I've never lost it with my kids). I have to say though, during the day when I shop around here I see some of the coolest parents out with their kids being patient and kind. It's on the weekends that the evil parents seem come to come out of hiding!

But you have a life in addition to dis -- you know kids, a job, hacking down bushes.

I have boxes of cr@p from my mother that I need to get listed on e---. I figure if I have so much time to be on the computer I have to be productive.

I ToT. It was shut down when I went to ride it the second time. I decided that I didn't want to be among the first to ride it after it was "fixed."

Likewise, Splash Mt was broken the second time I went to ride it. (I still have the fastpass.) I felt sorry for the people who were stuck on it in the hot sun. Another one I didn't want to ride right after it had been worked on.

Thus ends my TR.

I have never e--- anything but I really should start. I have some nice clothes that dd doesn't fit into anymore that are too good to rummage or donate. Also some old toys of theirs (I guess I do have kids after all).

Fabulous trip report!!!!! Do you have some pics to share? D~ loves pictures. She really loves it when you post them on her ptr (it makes her look popular and she needs that little boost of self esteem).

And your post count is low -- you have a lot of work to do to catch up to Michelle and Lisa. I'm going to beat you to it if you slack off!

I thought you were taller than me. I'm 5'5" and I swore you were 5'6"! And while I've not seen too many dh pics, since I thought you were taller than me I figured your dh was around 6 feet tall. No wonder Finn doesn't resemble a basketball player. I really honestly though you and Dave were much taller and couldn't figure where Finn got his stature from. That explains a lot now.


I so wish were neighbors! I can't even do a mini tut for you right now because dh has the camera (in CA). I will write up a mini walk thru for you in a minute and post it here since we need to fill up D's ptr.

I would love another baby too -- I'm too old We were going to try to adopt from Russia (siblings) but curse our RI house b/c without selling it we didn't have a spare $60K sitting around.

FOR MARIANNE Nope, not for D~ -- just for Marianne.

My machine might be a bit different than what you have so you might have to improvise a little and consult your manual. I have a flash drive. I take the design I want and transfer it to my flash drive and then plug the flash into my machine.

Turn the machine on, press the button for uploading the design and get it to display.

Let's say we are doing a t-shirt. I hoop Floriani med wt cut away. I mark the center with the guide and spray with Dritz spray so the stabilizer is sticky. I press my t and turn it inside out and mark my t with the template. I then uninside out the t and slip the hoop inside and line up the marks, hand press the t into place and then pin it with ballpoint pins around the edge. Then I unearth the back of the t so none is caught under the hoop. Hook the hoop to the machine. Slide a piece of tearaway stabilizer under that (I buy it from Marathon thread). First stitch is a placement stitch. I do this in any odd color I don't often use. Let's do a simple Mickey head. I have an ugly mint green thread that outlines the mickey head on the t. Then I cut enough fabric to cover the area and a bit extra and place it over the spot. You can spray it on, but rather than gum up things too much I hold it in place and smooth it out while doing the tackdown stitch. I use the same ugly minty green for that. Then i take it off the machine and cut the excess fabric as close to the tackdown stitch as I can. I use an Gingher embroidery scissor to do this. Then I change to my black thread and hook the hoop back in and it stitches away.

For smaller shirts you have to keep plling the t fabric out of the way. You can use clippies to pull some away, but they aren't perfect -- still watch it.

Once done pull off the tear away. Unpin the t and then cut off the cut away. Toss in wash and voila, shirt is done!

I was just on Fox News website and ran across a photo of Mayim Bialik -- do you remember that show Blossom? Megan resembles her quite a bit! I had to Google other pics of her, but I think they look quite similar!

Yes, I have had them, they just haven't gotten out yet it seems. Theater camp is up in the air, not sure if we are getting the scholarships or not, and those DEPEND on that. Pottery camp is June 25-29. Megan gets out of school June 27. Jazz Camp is July 23-27.
Theater camp for Lisa will be either June 11-15, June 18-22, August 6-10, July 9-13.
Theater camp for Rachel could be July 30-August 3, July 9-13, June 18-22.

Hi everyone!

We had an awesome AK day - for those of you not in the know (Andrea - you really need to give us your "secret fb name")... It started out pretty rotten with Miss V's attitude, which she chose to carry on with until long after breakfast.

Any who... I really don't want to reveal what happened to us today, because I'd like to leave it for my TR... But I will tell you all that it was super awesome, and really a once in a lifetime thing... Especially the way it panned out.

We couldn't have asked for a better day in our fav park.

Tomorrow, we are off to Epcot... I'll sign back in, in the morning to give out more details. For those of you that are my FB friends - I did post a little sneak peek for ya!

Rushmore this summer, but I know we want to get in and out before Sturgis - not that we aren't big Harley fans - it's just not the proper environment for the girls.

Today we are off to Epcot. We did almost everything that we wanted to do on our first day there, so we are not planning on doing a rope drop morning today. I've decided to let the girls sleep in, and instead of heading to the park with in a half hour of it opening (like we did on our DHS day = mistake), we are going to wait and go about an hour after opening. On our to do list today is Mission Space for the girls (I'll sit that one out), and FP TT. Then the girls want to try Kim Possible... We'd really like to spend most of our day exploring WS, but we are going to start in Canada this time and work our way around.

We've had much better luck with Photopass photographers the last few days - except yesterday. We didn't get one in front of the ToL until we were running out of the park to make our ADR at Boma. So when we got back to AK - that will be a huge priority for us.

Anyways - I am not sure if we will stay for Illuminations or not, we have yet to catch any of the evening shows, except for Wishes - and that was from Frontierland... So, we will see how we feel. Sometimes we have the best of intentions to go back to the park after we leave - but we are jsut so tired that we never get there.

HELP!!!! Ok, I have a dillema. Because of our Pixie Dust yesterday - Disney gave us a Photopass card with 2 free 5x7s on it. We only have 30 days to redeem. My problem is that I already pre purchased the photopass cd and I'd like those pics on there, as well. So, should I log them in today, so that I can start my 30 day timer and I don't lose them? I am really confused to how this all works???? I am really leaning to starting my timer early - because I would hate to miss out on any of these pics, since we don't actually have any pictures of us - just the ones we took.

D~ at Christmas for MVMCP I got a new photopass that was discounted and they told me to take my current photopass to a photpass "place" and have them merged -- it was not a hot priority for us since the only photopass photos I had were of dd with characters as why would Grumpy (dh) want to stop to have pics taken. DS refused any photopass pics as well -- you can see why I want my next trip to be a mother/dd trip.

Since there is no better place to post than here...

Every spring we have ducks (one male, one female except one year there were two males) come to our backyard pond (it's a koi pond, but it's pretty big (around 3000 gal?) and they come and go for a couple of weeks and then we don't see them again until the next year. So yesterday my kids went out to give them bread. And today only the male was swimming so ds went out to feed him. Lo and behold, lady duck (her name is Lily) pops out from the maidenhair grass and later she goes back in and mills around. While I love the thought of little ducklings swimming in the pond I do not love the thought of having to walk my dogs twenty times a day. This morning the dogs were clueless to the swimming male, but if Lily nests there I can't let the dogs out back!

And these are the dogs that would love to catch ducklings -- one brought me a baby rabbit once, but there was a happy ending. My neighbor is a vet so his wife took it to the clinic and all it had was trauma and conjunctivitis so wildlife rehab took him to nurse him until he was well enough to be released.

I really have done something to my elbow and think it is Tennis elbow and DH keeps telling me it is from sewing. I never had it before, but if the pain doesn't go away I think I might have to go to the doctors.

Wait til you get home to claim those photos. I'm not on FB but I can guess what special thing you did today. I have a friend who did that when we did a photopass share. That photopass card is the same as the others you've been using. You have 30 days to add it to your photopass account and then another 30 days after you add them to your account to order your CD. If you claim the photos now your 30 days to make edits will start. Photopass is so slow you're going to want all 30 days at home.

I would however go to a photostore at Disney to look at your photos. I wonder if you have to order your 5x7 at Disney?


You could do Mission Space green!!!! It is no rougher than Star Tours.
