How great that you got so much done in your sewing room. I hope today goes as well as yesterday
I know - I was so happy about it! Yesterday was just as good.
Hi Carrie! It's always nice to meet a fellow Pluto fan!
D~ LOL at getting us mixed up but reading Carrie's post, it could have been me writing it! I am going in October with Mom but we aren't doing
MNSSHP. Considering Mom is not a fan of Character meets, parades or fireworks, it didn't seem worth the cost for her.
Sorry to worry you, I have been reading really quickly once in a while but haven't had much time to post. Work has been kicking my butt lately but I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I think by the end of this week, things should slow down. I shouldn't even have been updating my own TRs but I really wanted to get the October one finished before I went on my next trip! 8 days to go!
Oh good... Here I thought I was losing it - I am so relieved that you also see the similarity in your Disnames/upcoming trips. Phew!
I know you have been busy - I totally understand... 7 more days to go!!!!!!
I can't wait to see all the auctions bags you make. Every time I hear you talking about your bags, it makes me want to go and use my sewing machine. Last time I was in joannes getting a crochet hook, i picked up a few zippers that were on clearance to play with. Need to see if I have fabric to try to make something.
Awesome! Great idea to grab some clearance zippers to practice with.

You will do great - I just know it!
Sounds like you made excellent progress yesterday. And a new bag design!!!
I had high hopes of being able to work in my sewing room this week, but that was not to be. I am finally starting to feel better, but I think I need to cancel my trip to Atlanta for the national conference. I just know that I am not up for pace of the conference. Heck, I can barely walk up the stairs at home. Also still cannot sleep laying down. I go back to the doctor tomorrow for a follow up and they said I should feel better afterwards. I sure hope so.
I decided I'm going to give Charlie the Africa Safari Trek for his birthday. He has been so patient with me this week and its something he would like. I'm hoping I can get a good discount with dvc.
Brief note on Kat. She had a contrast test? one day this week (I can't remember which day) and all results were positive. This is good news for her surgery on May 6.
I did make great progress - and yesterday too! Very pleased with myself.
I am glad you are starting to feel better - bummer about the conference in Atlanta though... Hopefully the Dr. will be able to get you back to normal quickly.
Charlie will LOVE that!!! How exciting!
Glad to hear that Kat is doing well, thanks so much for the update - she continues to be in our prayers.
What awesome progess on your auction bags! 4 bags this week would be quite an accomplishment, I think. Question about your auction - do you post all the bags at one time or do you do them one at a time?
I am quite proud of giving up diet soda, as I really didn't think I'd be able to do it. I didn't get my run in yesterday - I try to head up to the gym at the office at 4, but something came up right before 4 that kept me tied up until about 4:30. It worked out for the best though, as something came up at 4:40 that kept me at work until 6 and I wouldn't have been able to finish it if I was at home. As of now, my calendar is clear for a run at 4. I think I may look for a yoga program I can do at home in the mornings. If I could get that done at 5am a few days a week, I wouldn't feel so bad on the days I couldn't run. Also, yoga seems suited to that hour of the morning and if I were able to get a run in later in the day, I think I'd still feel up to it. It's a possibility, but first I need to start getting up at 5 again!
I hope you'll be able to share what Gus talks to you guys about at dinner, I'm am so curious as to what he has to say.
Hope you have a very productive day again today! Have you ever thought about quiliting and assembling several bags and then doing appliques back to back? Not sure if that would work, but then you could get the tedious part out of the way and just have the part you most enjoy left to do.
Last time - I tried to post them with 5 minutes in between, but it was quite confusing for me... I think, this time, I will post them in blocks of time, or something to that effect... Otherwise they are just too hard for me to manage.
I have tried yoga before - it's not a pretty sight. LOL And there is NO way I could do it at 5 am - so kudos to you.

It's great that you have a plan!
I am not sure how much I will share of Gus' conversation? I will try to share something, as to not leave you all hanging... but it will probably be vague, as to respect Alli and Gus' privacy.
I have thought of doing that, however - that's as far as that process went. LOL The only reason I get the quilting done, is that I look forward to the applique, and it takes me so many hours to quilt one bag, I am ready to applique after that.
I am with the previous poster...inquiring minds will want to know what Gus has to talk to you about!
I know... I will do the best I can. But it will probably be a bit vague - I certainly don't want to over step my bounds and make their relationship more "public" than they don't even know that it is. Does that make sense?
I'm on the edge of my seat waiting to see what Gus need to discuss!!!
I'm keeping my fingers crossed to what your auction bags are! The tween size bag sounds super cute too! Dd has been keeping me so busy with her first musical and her dance stuff, sorry I haven't posted in a while! Your updates are the highlight of my day!
Hope all is well!
I am a bit anxious about it too... We will see tonight.
I am very excited about them... Yes, I am excited about the tween bag - it's nothing spectacular, it's quite plain, actually - but it will serve the purpose.
Aww... What is her first musical? I miss that sort of thing - I always enjoyed them immensely - but sadly, the girls no longer participate in any of those activities.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you are well too!
I am so happy that you were happy with the small bag you made.
I hope you get all you want done this weekend with your auction stuff.
Oh my...I wonder what Gus wants to talk to you about?
Thanks Kathy! Yes, I hope I am able to get lots more done this weekend! I know that Josh is working on Saturday - which means, I have permission to work all day - which will help.
I am very curious too... Alli knows, but he's asked her not to say anything to me - he wants to say it. So, we'll find out tonight, I guess.
I'm quite interested in you're little bag. I have a tiny crossbody that I love, but it's just a smidgeon too small, so being who I am...I'm thinking about improving on it and your bags are very inspiring (even though your UPB is a wee bit big for my taste)
I am having a day at work and reading your PTR, with everyone's comments, is like a vacation. Thanks!
I'll say this about exercising: I've rediscovered muscles that I forgot about. But I am enjoying it, although the cat tried to "help" this morning and got kicked in the face. She's tough, though, so don't worry about her.
Good Sewing!
Well, I hope this one inspires you - but I doubt it will. Trust me, it's not very interesting - it's quite simple and plain... but I do prefer my bags to be that way, so the appliques can stand out. I guess that's why I like it so much.
Hahaha... Glad I can give you a bit of a vacation at work...

I hope your day got better.
LOL - remember when that happened to MM when I first started? I was working out, and he thought I was playing - wrapped his mouth around my foot when I wasn't looking and I stomped on it - which resulted in one of his teeth puncturing the bottom of my foot and ripping it open? Yah - fun times. If anything, that's a good omen though - right?

Hopefully the kitty is doing OK and you've resumed this morning.
Have a great weekend Ruth!
Thank you! Everything is up in the air at this point as we are going through a rough time (long story short, my husband was diagnosed with colon cancer back in November and he's finishing up six months of chemo in May... We are hoping for good news after his next scan... This was a total shock! He's only 37.)
Anyhow, he really wants to do a Disney trip if all is clear sometime around September or October (free dining and we have no kids! LOL). I'm the planner of the family so my top choices are AKL, BC, and POFQ/POR. We usually stay at the All Stars but want to try something new next time! My family in FL will probably join us for a few days (we are looking at 8 days or so), too, so I'm hoping this trip will happen! We need it badly!
A little bit about us, we live in the NYC area and I'm originally from Miami so I've been to Disney World, like, 25+ times! DH is from Northern NJ and loves it as well so we've been every other year since we met in 2005! We love traveling but always have to get our regular Disney fix.
Ok, I'll cut this short - I feel like I hijacked your thread! Can't wait to read more about your trip and see more bags!
Lissette
Wow - that is so young! I am glad that his Dr.s caught it early enough though. Is he feeling pretty well? I will be praying for good news after chemo for all of you.
Oooh - of course, my vote is for POFQ, but that's just me. LOL It's so gorgeous there, and relaxing too.

Sounds like it will be a great trip - no matter where you stay - with family there with you too.
That's so nice that your DH loves Disney too... My DH dislikes it a lot (that's putting it mildly) - So, sadly, once my girls go off to college - there will likely be no more Disney trips for me.
No worries - I am happy to talk Disney with anyone at any time.

So happy to hear more about you and your trip. Please keep me updated about your DH and how your trip plans come together.
I hope your day went as you were hoping it would!! Can't wait to see all your auction items. The smaller bag sounds like something Sarah could carry!! She really wants her own bag to carry when we go to WDW but I may start her off on something really cheap so if she loses it no big deal. Then we can work our way up to one of yours.
"To Talk". I wonder what that could be about.
Me too... I am excited to see them
finished! LOL Yah - I would definately use something cheaper for Sarah... Our first trip - the girls lost a backpack with their sunglasses in it... The backpack and the sunglassses were our favorites - and we never got them back. Still bums me out... LOL and it's been 11 years.
Yes, I am very curious, as well.
**********************************************************
I had another great sewing room day yesterday! I finished my 2nd big auction bag. I have my next one cut out and quilted. My back was so sore by the end of my day though - I was ready to quit.
I plan to lift this morning - as soon as I am done writing here.
Then, I hope to get up to my sewing room... I hope to get the applique for my next bag and my next little bag (doing them together - since they are the same theme) drawn and cut out before I have to leave today.
Alli has 2 Dr.s appointments today - we will be going to lunch in between. Afterwards, I have to run to Target to get a few groceries.
Tonight is our dinner with Gus... I am very intrigued about it. At the moment,
technically, they are not together. Sigh... All of this "yo-yo" crap is driving me NUTS! <--- Alli too. So, I honestly have no idea what he wants to talk to ME about?

I should have been a little more specific in my comment about it yesterday... He wants to take "us" out for dinner - as in Allison and I... Not Josh, not V.

Depending on what the conversation is about - I may or may not be able to tell you about it - for all I know, it may have NOTHING to do with them, and it may be something else all together. I hope you all understand... As I have tried very hard to keep their relationship as private as I can. I will certainly let you all know how it goes though.
I hope you all have a wonderful weeekend! It looks like it might be a nice weekend here? I hope it is, anyways... I still have a front porch I need to clean off... Sigh. Sending out prayers and good thoughts to all of you!
D~
