Hi all!

It's a heat wave at the lake. V and I had a good trip up here, lots of stops, but we made it safely.

We are working on getting the boat and wet bikes into the lake today, so hopefully we can use them this afternoon.

MM is having a wonderful time, if he isn't in the house, he is in the lake. He follows the girls everywhere, he is very much like an annoying little brother n' driving them crazy. Lol

We all very much needed this time away. Miss u all tho.

So I got this weird package in the mail. It said it was from someplace called Serendipity??? I don't know anyone in Serendipity, so I sent it back to the post office.

Suzi, If it makes you feel any better, I knew you were joking...it sounds like something I would write, then no one would get...... loved it!

Happy 4th of July everyone! I hope you have a splendid holiday today!

MM went on his first boat ride last night, we did the lake shore tour at record speed - he loved it. He loved it even more when we started pointing out "birds" - he was totally ready to jump ship. Thankfully, I was smart enough to have his leash on!

We have had record heat here the last few days. We've told the girls that they must drink water, water, water. They decided to go on a long walk yesterday, with out water... Sigh... And Alli was wearing a sweater... More sigh. She was up all night vomiting - we think she may have got some sort of heat exhaustion. We've been pumping water into her. This is the exact same thing that happened in Disney. I knew it was bad when she told me that this is exactly how she felt. Poor girl. I hope she is feeling better, so she doesn't have to sit out on the 4th festivities.

Again, I hope you all have a wonderful holiday....

You know D~...mine is wrapped carefully in the tissue paper and is packed away! I have a big Disney box that everything goes in. If I didn't I know a certain 12 year old that would 'relieve' it from ts confines! She has already been eyeing it..even though she said it was too small for her!

Mr D had a comment along the lines of he was glad I wasn't going to wear that old black leather fanny pack...cause it embarrassed him! (Of course 'embarrass' is his new word this week...he gets a new word in therapy that describes feelings...)

Monday, when I looked at the tracking...it informed me it was out for delivery...I had seen the mail lady come by a few minutes earlier so I ran outside to see....I was squealing when I opened the mail box and ran back inside...the kids were scared something had happened. (how is THAT for a run on sentence!)

Of course, my older daughter has informed me that if she does get pregnant before the trip she should get to carry it...I love her...but not THAT much!

I hope Alli feels better QUICK! Make sure you get a little bit of sugar in her, too. Have her push water, but maybe toss in some sips of Sprite or something as well (it's what my pediatrician tells me to do with my kids when they're struggling for hydration).

Keep us updated on how she's doing! I need a worried emoticon ... Sigh.

Thanks everyone...

I've finally got her to keep down a few sips of water, so then we gave her some Gatorade and Tylenol to bring down her fever. She had a cracker about an hour ago, and was able to keep that down. She has been sleeping most of the day.

I will keep you updated.

Suzi and Nini - I am glad you've received your bags and you love them! I couldn't believe how quickly they got to you, considering I only mailed them on Saturday morning! I hope you'll both post pictures when you return from your trips - I love seeing my bags in action!

Whenever we go anywhere I make sure our flylady water bottles are filled with ice water -- the kids always gripe about being thirsty and if all I have to offer them is water in the car then they willingly drink it -- getting them to drink water at home is harder. Getting them to drink water at the pool in the hot sun is the hardest!

Anyway, glad Alli is better today
