Sew much to do, sew little time - but it was worth it! New PTR link posted! ~~~~~~~~~

Yes... I have tons of pictures of MM in the boat! I can't wait to share - he just loves it.

It's kind of a scarey thing to get into the boat from the dock - since you have to kind of jump on to the bow, and it's in water - so it moves. The first night, we had to lift MM on to the boat - and he was terrified. But once he got out there, he loved it. The second night, Josh had to take him by the leash, and he just jumped on - a bit nervously. Last night (we had gone out in the boat twice yesterday with out him) - and he was quite ANGRY about it... Never knew a dog to totally ignore people before... :confused3 So, when we finally went to take him for a boat ride - he hopped on before the rest of the family - we weren't going with out him agian. LOL So, yes MM likes the boat.

Last night, we took the boat over to the local pizza place for Josh's birthday dinner. It was a lot of fun! This place is always so busy - you usually have to park a mile away and walk. We just take the boat, because it's usually easier to find a spot at the dock than it is to find one on the road. It's one of those places where everyone is in a bikini (NOT me - LOL) and flip flops - It's a lot of fun. You are very lucky when you can find a seat to eat your meal, and it's just crazy. Anyways - we had a good meal, and afterwards we took MM for a boat ride. He just loves the boat! A true retreiver - he's never happier than when he is wet!

It is a rainy morning here, and I would love to crawl back into bed, everyone else is still sleeping. The rain is supposed to clear later, and it's supposed to turn into another beautiful day. There's a boutique fabric store in a neighboring town, and I'd like to check it out - so the girls and I might run over there later.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Oh my gosh D~, I just read this horrified! I am so thankful your angels were with you, that is scary! I thought I was going to drown in a pool as a teen and that was NOTHING compared to a huge lake! :grouphug::grouphug: Again so RELIEVED you are okay! Watch that rawness and get to the MD if you don't feel better...seriously!

SO happy MM loves the boat and you got to have some fun last night!!! Cherish those moments, I KNOW you do!!!

That was NOT nice of Josh to dump you when he promissed not to. If it was me I would have killed him and absolutely NOT trust him ever again.
What a horrible experience for you. I'm glad you are ok.

D~ that is so HORRBILE!!!! I cannot imagine the terror you must have felt! I have issues with swimming anywhere that I cannot see my feet. I am so glad you are okay...

so sorry you had a scary incident. I am glad Josh was able to clam you down.

how scary D! happy you are okay, but please get checked out if you are still feeling yucky, water in your lungs is not good,, especially lake water.
a hard way to learn a lesson not to mess around on the lake.

your evening sounds fun and I can just see MM wanting to get on the boat, all excited and wiggles!
hope you get to go do some shopping and enjoy the day!

We have had record heat here the last few days. We've told the girls that they must drink water, water, water. They decided to go on a long walk yesterday, with out water... Sigh... And Alli was wearing a sweater... More sigh. She was up all night vomiting - we think she may have got some sort of heat exhaustion. We've been pumping water into her. This is the exact same thing that happened in Disney. I knew it was bad when she told me that this is exactly how she felt. Poor girl. I hope she is feeling better, so she doesn't have to sit out on the 4th festivities.

D~

Thanks everyone...

I've finally got her to keep down a few sips of water, so then we gave her some Gatorade and Tylenol to bring down her fever. She had a cracker about an hour ago, and was able to keep that down. She has been sleeping most of the day.

I will keep you updated.

D~

Oh no! I am so sorry that Alli isn't feeling well and I hope that she gets better super quick. One of my littles actually just got over a tummy bug too. they are NO FUN for mom because you feel so horrible that there is very little you can do to help them get better FASTER! Mama just wants to FIX things!

Hope the rest of the trip is better.

Sunshine

Oh my D~! I would have totally freaked out on DH if he had done that to me and I am comfortable in the water. As others have said, please see someone if you feel bad. Water in the lungs is never good.

Glad to hear that Alli is feeling better. Love the stories about MM and the boat. Yes, dogs can totally ignore you when they are mad at you. Buffy was mad at us last weekend because we went racing Friday night and didn't take her with us because we were coming back that night. She absolutely loves to ride in the motorhome! You can actually see the shivers of excitement shivers go through her body when she realizes we are going in the motorhome. I :rotfl2: when you said that MM jumped in the boat before anyone else the next time. I can see the image clearly!

Hope you guys had a great 4th of July at the lake. Sounds like a wonderful place to spend time.

I'm guessing 'someone' edited part of her post! I have gone through the last 4 pages to see what I had missed. Then I saw that you had edited a post...

LOL...at least I know (for the moment anyway!) that I am not going crazy!

Oh D~, WHERE is that lake story that scared the life out of me???? Sometimes it just feels good to vent, doesn't it??? Glad I didn't quote you! :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: DO take good care of yourself though.

Judy... Yes, I did edit my post yesterday. Sometimes I forget that even though I am talking to my friends - there are other people who read here that I don't know. For that reason (and since I was fortunate enough that no one quoted me), I decided to edit that entire story out. The people that know me best know what happened. :grouphug:

We had a wonderful day yesterday, it rained all day. So, Alli and I ran to town and looked around at the shops, we found a very quaint little (BIG) fabric store, where I found the fabric for the interior of my next bag. :goodvibes I rested and took a nap, finished a book and started another.

The girls got the kayaks out for the first time, and last night I went out with Victoria... we didn't go far though becuase I pulled something in my bicep the other day, and it's still a bit bothersome.

Today looks to be a glorious day... Sunny and not a ripple on the lake - it's like glass. I hope we are able to take the wet bikes out, since we have not had them out at all this trip - except to put them in the lake. We always like to play a bit with them on the lake, then we like to take them on the river and cruise around the neighboring lakes as well. I love taking them on the little river, because that river reminds me of the Sassagoula at WDW, it just has that feel. :beach:

I am feeling well, except for my bicep - it's still a bit sore. Unfortunately, our trip is coming to an end, and we will have to start packing up in the next day or two. :sad2:

I hope Josh had a good birthday!

I totally missed the edited story and apparently I'm not a good friend b/c I'm clueless, but what ever happened I hope you are OK. I think I got the jest of the story from the comments.

Andrea... I will send you a PM when I get home. :)

happy you are feeling better other than your pulled muscle, get some icyhot for it that always helps me!

sounds like a fun day yesterday and a nice break from the heat! enjoy your wet bike tour today!

D~, I am the same way, I write things and forget others are reading. Honestly though, I didn't think you said anything "bad" but I understand! If I ever "quote" you and you want me to edit my post , just let me know! :goodvibes:goodvibes

So happy you are having fun, just sorry your bicep hurts. Enjoy your last day and a half, you deserve it! :flower3:

This made me laugh because I thought the same thing! LOL! But then I know that I am just a nosey old bugger ... just glad everyone is feeling better!

Your Max sounds like my Max but instead it is with the car. My poor little doggie jumps in the car everytime we go into the garage because he doesn't want to be left behind.:scared:

This is for D... We waited all day for Mickey to come out (we had a bad thunderstorm for a few hours) and he arrived with a your favorite Donald:goodvibes
