This is perhaps the most important Then n' Now photo of our whole trip... The entire progression hinged on Disney doing their soft opening of the FLE while we were there, believe me when I say that I was beyond THRILLED that we could again get this picture done - since many of our Then and Now's were wrecked due to the demolition of Minnie and Mickey's country houses.

Your Max sounds like my Max but instead it is with the car. My poor little doggie jumps in the car everytime we go into the garage because he doesn't want to be left behind.:scared:

I missed it too but glad what ever happened you are feeling better.

This is for D... We waited all day for Mickey to come out (we had a bad thunderstorm for a few hours) and he arrived with a your favorite Donald:goodvibes

I hope you'll share more with me - or at least link to the photos you share in the Disbou thread, once again - I am slacking over there. :crazy2:

I hope you had the most fantastic trip ever! So, inquiring minds... Did you book a bouncback???? :cool1:

We did have a great trip but I think I am Disneyed out.... or atleast I was yesterday after being home only for a day.:rotfl: But I do miss Disney and since we have our very short trip in October I have something to look forward too. But I think I am done going in July. Just too hot and crowded:crowded:.

Since we are DVC we don't get a BB offer and I am all out of points for borrowing until June,2013 so our next trip will probably be April,2014. But who knows :confused3 the kids are actually upset that we aren't going in April now and if a good AP discount comes out I might be tempted:scratchin

I'll be posting pictures over on the Disboutique and on FB. I have almost 500 photos on the photopass card.:) And can I say I LOVE the new PhotoPass Plus. It was worth every penny:rotfl:

:goodvibes Thanks. I knew Colonial Mickey only comes out on the 4th and I so wanted to see him. We became like stalkers because the Thunderstorm through off the whole schedule and no one could give us a definite answer when he would be out. It was quite the pleasant surprise when he arrived with Goofy and Donald too.:goodvibes

What an awesome photo!!!

And D~ -- I love your then and nows :)

Judy... Yes, I did edit my post yesterday. Sometimes I forget that even though I am talking to my friends - there are other people who read here that I don't know. For that reason (and since I was fortunate enough that no one quoted me), I decided to edit that entire story out. The people that know me best know what happened. :grouphug:

We had a wonderful day yesterday, it rained all day. So, Alli and I ran to town and looked around at the shops, we found a very quaint little (BIG) fabric store, where I found the fabric for the interior of my next bag. :goodvibes I rested and took a nap, finished a book and started another.

The girls got the kayaks out for the first time, and last night I went out with Victoria... we didn't go far though becuase I pulled something in my bicep the other day, and it's still a bit bothersome.

Today looks to be a glorious day... Sunny and not a ripple on the lake - it's like glass. I hope we are able to take the wet bikes out, since we have not had them out at all this trip - except to put them in the lake. We always like to play a bit with them on the lake, then we like to take them on the river and cruise around the neighboring lakes as well. I love taking them on the little river, because that river reminds me of the Sassagoula at WDW, it just has that feel. :beach:

I am feeling well, except for my bicep - it's still a bit sore. Unfortunately, our trip is coming to an end, and we will have to start packing up in the next day or two. :sad2:

D~

Glad that what ever happened seemed to have worked it's self out and am glad that no one was seriously hurt. I guess that's what happens when I get busy and don't get on here to try to keep up on what everyone is doing.

Loved your now and then photo's. I think I'm going to have to go through my pics and see where I may have pictures of my kids from the same spots and see how much they've changed over the last couple years.

Michelle!!!!

I LOVE that picture! I believe it is an incentive for me to go next july for a picture!

(This is telling my age) I was in LOVE with Paul Revere and The Raider, more specifically Mark Lindsay, This picture looks so much like a Mark Lindsay 'Mickey'... I have to have my own picture!

I doubt Hubby is going to want to go along with my plan... but I am SURE I can make it happen...

LOL!

Sorry I couldn't quote the picture, but this stupid netbook does NOT like to cooperate...hopefully my IT guy (aka Son in Law) can work on the laptop and try to recover it this week!

Good morning everyone... Welcome to NoOrdinaryPrincess! :)

I don't have much time to chat... We packed up all the boats/wave runners/kayaks yesterday... And the girls worked on sweeping and cleaning bathrooms last night. I still need to pack this morning, do our last load of sheets and towels, pack up our food/fridge/freezer, and get on the road. I have to stop on the way home for some fabric, but I want to be on the road by 10-11am, so we can avoid rush hour in the Cities tonight.

Tomorrow - it's back to the sewing room full force! I have a large project this week, and due to my work schedule - I am going to have to bust my behind to finish up. My next weeks are FULL FULL.

I am really starting to get excited for my trip to Charlotte! I am super excited to meet a lot of my Dis friends... Unfortunately, there are a few who can't make it... Sigh... Oh well - it will happen some day.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!

D~

safe travels home D!

good luck getting your bag done on time!

I know we are getting so excited too meet everyone

Hi D~ I finnaly made it over here,:wave2: I just skimming through your TR but looks like you had a great trip.Too bad Allison was sick while you were there, but seems like she was a trooper.
Love the Now & Then pictures! What a great idea.:thumbsup2
Love all the bags, of course.

The CMs let us into the park promptly at 8am. As soon as we walked in under the bridge, we went straight to Guest Services to get our "Celebrate" pin to honor Rufus. I desperately wanted to make actual pins for each of us with Rufus' picture, but I didn't think about it until it was too late - so these would have to do. Many people asked us about Rufus over the course of the trip, it saddened them, but once we explained that we were celebrating his life and what he meant to our family - they felt the love.

How Special that you celebrated Rufus. He was lucky to have such a wonderful family!

OMG, Dumbo needs to vist the Dumbo ride, it's beautiful!!!

While we were sitting there, I was being a dork... I decided to introduce my DW to each castle...

Dole Whip meet Pink Castle:

D~

:lmao: Seeing Colonial Mickey was worth fighting the 4th of July crowds. Though for a while I thought we might never meet him due to the rain.

I thought of you 5,279 times today so I thought I'd :wave2:

My annual membership in the Disney Tote Bag* Club is getting ready to expire so I'm making another tote bag. Last week I made a prototype. I was trying to use up a spool of white thread so I'd have the satisfaction of adding it to my spool collection (formerly known as Rod).

:moped:

Instead of using muslin or some cheap fabric I have, I sewed together little scraps of fabric to make the fabric for my proto. Not only did the spool make it through that, but I made 30+ quilt squares and 16 pillows for GKTW. I guess I'm not very good at judging when a spool is almost finished. :confused3

I was determined to use up the spool before starting on the Real Bag. (Some people might call that stalling, but I know you wouldn't.)

:scratchin -- or would you?

Anywho, as I'm walking along, singing my song, making my bag I both

::yes:: enjoyed it, and

:tilt: kept thinking, how can anyone make money selling stuff they make?????

That's a rhetorial question, we've discussed before, but I think you should at least triple the amount you get for your bags. (Or hire street urchins to help ((if you have then in MN)) for 25¢ an hour.)

:crowded: <---street urchins in need of a job

:upsidedow

*Have you ever Googled something and "found yourself"? When I Googled Disney tote bag, the first tote bag I made showed up. That's kinda eerie.

:stir:

:crazy2:

The before and after photos are great. And, I can't believe you're thinking about a return trip next year. Hooray!

:donald::donald::donald:

I will reply to everyone tomorrow morning... I just wanted to let you all know that we made it home safely. :)

Hope you had a good trip and glad you made it home safely. Rest up so you can be ready to sew up a storm tomorrow.
