Okay, now D~, I am so sorry to hear about your dad's and brother's accident! I am so glad they are both okay. Also a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your Alli! Sounds like you all had a fantastic night together.

Put me in the google group on the shoes! I was thinking she must have wanted some crazy high heeled shoe, which is what my DD would have wanted at that age but I like the skate shoes! My DD is a petite little thing (only 5' at 27) and she always wanted to look taller

I just thought I'd hop on and say hi!

I did make a lot of progress on my Launch bag, and so far it's coming together like I hoped it would. So that's good.

Josh worked really hard on getting the yard ready for spring all weekend - it looks very nice. He is calling to get rid of the dumpster this week. It will be very nice to have our yard back.

I got all of our patio furniture out of winter storage, then V and I got the patio set up. It looks nice - we spend a lot of time out there in the summer and try to eat quite a few meals there too, so I am glad to have it set up. Maybe I'll try to take some pictures later. I need to figure out what flowers I plan to have out there this year.

Josh and I watched the movie War Horse last night, it was really good, but sad in some parts.

Max is turning into just a riot to have around, he followed Josh around the yard all weekend while he was cleaning up. It's so cute to have a little shadow - who seems to be growing so quickly.

Here's a picture of Alli with Max on her birthday... He is getting sooo big!

Today is my really long awful day... Normally I don't mind, but I don't like Max being home alone alllllll daaaaaaay like that. I hope he's OK.

Yes, I have seen the BOBs commercial too and thought "what a rip-off"! But then, I realized that maybe between both companies lots of needy folks will get shoes. It's a good cause, right?

Max is getting HUGE! And there is Alli holding him like a little puppy! I think your vet is right in warning you to now treat him like a 90lb dog!

Hi D~...Love the picture of your Max! (Our Max had to take an unscheduled trip to the vet yesterday...he thought he was a fish and swallowed a fish hook...had it lodged in his throat and we couldn't get it out. By the time he made it to the vet it had gone down to his tummy! Antibiotics and a special high fiber diet...and doing duty..duty to see if/when it comes out! He is up to 70 pounds...and looks a bit skinny to me...all legs!)

Yesterday did go quick for me at work... I actually got out of there early. Our training for the new lab only took a little over an hour. I will admit, it will be sooo much easier with out the chemicals. What used to take me 30-40 minutes to open the lab every morning, now will take me about 8 seconds. And my fears of doing everyone's crappy work were confirmed yesterday, I was told that "it will now be in your job description, and it will be your job to do everything else around the store"... Not that I don't know how to do these other things, because I do a lot of helping as it is... but I know what all these jobs are, and it's all the jobs that no one else wants to do. I am not sure what I am going to do from here - I am going to play it by ear - and see how it goes. Maybe I'm just no longer feelin' the love?

I did end up thinking that about the Bobs too... but I still think it sucks that they took their idea totally. Personally, it makes me not want to purchase any shoes from them (Sketchers), not that we really do anyways...

Thanks! Alli and I do get a lot of comments that we look a lot alike - especially when I am skinnier.

I really want to do a small sneak peek of my bag here, because I want you all to be able to see it - besides, not that many people read my TR anyways, so I am sure it will still be a surprise to most.

Oh no!!! I hope your Max is OK Nini... And your little Grand Princess - I've been thinking a lot about her and I really hope that everything turns out OK. I feel so badly.

I agree - I really enjoy my time in my sewing room as well - I really need to start calling it a "studio" - it sounds so much more refined. LOL

OK all... I hope to do an update to our rainy day sometime today... I know you are all looking forward to it.

I also hope to finish the exterior of my launch bag... Which I keep getting more and more excited about. I even showed Josh the other night - and he was blown away by it... Which really means a lot to me, because rarely does he give much comment to my bags - other than he like them n' such.

If I have time, I may go back to the bag I was working on last week, and work on the applique for a little while.

I am getting anxious to start showing some of the things I've been working on.

Eeks! I hope Max is OK -- um, couldn't that hurt coming out depending on where it gets lodged in the fecal matter? Do you have to dissect it? My dd swallowed a penny once (and two things that are bad for kids to swallow are pennies and batteries) so I am an experienced dissector.


DUCK UPDATE
I posted on Disbout, but I think I've mostly talked about the ducks on MY TR. Mama duck was acting very strange yesterday and stayed out of her nest almost all day long -- normally she flies away for about 10 minutes, comes back and swims for 5 minutes and then nests again. And Daddy duck came along and stayed for three hours -- we don't even see him daily and when we do see him he's here for 10 minutes. So I think yesterday was the big day! Today there is a discarded egg shell to the side of the nest -- I didn't get too close, but the top is off and I saw another piece of broken shell that was too large to be the top of the first so there have got to be ducklings in the nest. (Unless you are a pessimist like my grumpy dh who says there may not be b/c a predator could have got them already -- he is such a grump!). I will post pics eventually -- I already have pics of mom and dad but am hopeful to get baby pics as well and I want to get some eggshells for the kids to take to school and pics of the nest once it's vacated.

Um...yes... dissection is one way to put it! Yucky is another way! He is a 70 pound puppy and is taking a special laxative and high fiber food....So glad the weather is too chilly to get in the pool this week...just saying...smelly!
