Sew much to do, sew little time - but it was worth it! New PTR link posted! ~~~~~~~~~

So I was missing WDW today and thought that finding a TR would help cure my blues. I opened up the TR page and started scanning the titles for something interesting. Immediately I saw yours and the sewing reference caught my eye. Someone who loves to sew and loves Disney? Sounds like the perfect TR! I love to sew. I love WDW. And then I saw you were from MN. Me too! Are you my long lost twin?! ;)

I'm all got up and I've got to say... awesome TR! And your bags are amazing! Your Donald Duck bag cracks me up! Very creative! Looking forward to reading more about your trip and seeing more of your handiwork!

Just chiming in to say that I have enjoyed your TR so far! Your girls are so cute. :)

I found the DIS back in late 2011 when planning a January 2012 trip to Universal. Can't believe I hadn't found it before since I'm such a Disney nut!

Being so close to Disney in January but not actually going made me so sad. So now I'm planning a solo Nov 2012 trip! I've been reading TR's to come up with new ideas for my trip. I really thought I was a Disney expert till I found these boards!

I have to say I am soooo jealous of your beautiful bags!! :goodvibes I'm lucky I can sew a button on. Have you ever done a Pluto one? I'm willing to get in line!

Oh and Max is adorable! I've enjoyed your pictures of him. My DH and I have three of our own. A bit smaller than yours though, they are Schnauzers.

Love the pictures. It's amazing seeing them growing up so fast.

Marianne... love the Ninjago. Glad it finally worked for you. Did VTU send you a new file?

okay does anyone want to pm me your email so I can ask for opinions on fabric. and hey I am available to skype anytime :)

Sending you a PM

First... My photopass CDs came today (Ahem... All 2031 photos, on 5 cds), so I'll be able to include them in my TR. :)

Sunday, March 11th

I had to snap a picture of V before I woke her up - she was OUT COLD!
IMG_3865.jpg

We all got up and got ready - we all wanted to be to Epcot by park opening.
IMG_3866.jpg

Allison opened the door with all of us behind her... You know how you are walking along in a line, and the front person stops and everyone behind them bumps into them? That was us. We had our drapes closed, so we didn't even realize that it was pouring rain out there! So, we went back in our room, grabbed our ponchos (hoping we wouldn't need them for long) and off we went to Epcot.

Even though there was a waiting line for each of the Photopass photographers in front of SSE, we waited and took as many pictures as we could.

In retrospect, I am very glad we stopped for all these pictures... Little did we know, this is the lightest it would rain all day. :crazy2:

First stop: The girls wanted to do Kim Possible, so we got our passes. I didn't even write down in my journal when we were supposed to get our decoder... I want to say it was in Italy at 11:30?

IMG_3870.jpg

Then the girls went on Mission: Space (the green side). I waited outside in the rain, and surfed on Disboards for a little while. Spoken like a true Dis addict.

IMG_3872.jpg

And then it rained some more.

IMG_3873.jpg

IMG_3874.jpg

We decided to start in Canada today, since we missed that side of WS the other day when we were here.

On our way to Canada, we saw the sand sculpture they were working on the other day... They decided to work on it today...
IMG_3875.jpg

On our way to O'Canada...
IMG_3877.jpg

And it rained some more... The girls thought this would be a great place to stay dry for the day? Um - no - let's go...
IMG_3878.jpg

IMG_3880.jpg

Where we watched O'Canada in Circlevision... At least it was dry. :beach:

Then came the wind and rain... Seriously?
IMG_3881.jpg

I know, I know... This is bound to be the most boring day EVER... Seriously - how many pictures of rain could you want? It was so wet out that even the inside of our ponchos were moist (I really dont' like that word... "moist" - it's just eeew).

So... Stay tuned to hear about the rest of our "moist" day.

Oh this must be the day we were in Magic Kingdom...so rainy. Not a light rain you can still move around in...downpours! This has happened to us on our MK day two years in a row. :(

Is that V's bottom stuck up in the air? Too funny!

I love your peace, love, character shirts~ So cute! :cutie:

Too bad about the rain... I know they need it down there, just not on my vacation.:rotfl:

:scared1: How did you get so many Photopass pictures:faint: We went for 2 weeks and had about 500 which I thought was alot.

And I never knew they did Tink in the hand at Epcot either. I will have to remember that in 61 days!:cool1:

You must share your tips for maximizing Photopass! I've already prepaid for the CD, but think I'm going to upgrade to Photopass+. We will use it extensively!

FYI... I had to remove most of my smilies and all of yours - I was at my photo limit.

Just catching up on a few days of posts now. Love the AK day updates. Great pictures of the parade and I loved hearing about the 'behind the scenes' of it all! The now and then pictures are awesome as usual. The first one of A from 2003 is especially cute, something about the smile and the pigtails gets me.

Love the latest bag too. It is an absolutely perfect combination of colours and I the ruffle. Kim is an awesome model too. Those pictures are just too cute!

Marianne - love the Ninjago hoodie! Can't let my DS see that one or he'll have me CASEing it!

I know there is a lot more that I have missed but know that I loved all the updates and everyone still cracks me up! I have to run for work now. Have to go downtown and measure an old building to do the renovation drawings for it.

Loree!!! I've been missing you! I hope you are doing well! I know - I love the little pig tails too, I miss her wearing them. Sniff, sniff... Today is her 14th birthday, so sad how time has just moved faster and faster.

Oooh - I think I want your job Loree... That sounds like fun!

As always the "now and then" pictures are so precious!!

Thanks Liddy!

The before and after pictures are really sweet. Nice touch!

Thanks! They are lots of fun to do - but a pain to organize! I did manage to get them organized in my photobucket acct, but now that I keep adding more, it's a mess again. Once this trip is over - I'll go through it and reorganize it again.

Welcome!!! You'll have to let me know how close we live to eachother. Thanks for the bag compliments - I love making them! So, what kind of things to you make? Are you making any customs for an upcoming trip? It's amazing how making some customs all of a sudden turns into a trip to justify making them - you'd hate to have them going to waste and all. I hope you'll continue to follow along!

Hi! Welcome! I am glad you found the Dis... I didn't even realize I was a Disney addict until I found the Dis - LOL. What a bummer about being so close to Disney and not being able to go... I don't think I could handle that. How fun to plan a solo trip! I am not sure I could do that either, I am afraid I'd be too lonely - I really commend the people who can do that.

Awww... Thanks about Max... He is getting so big! He has the gangly look goin' on right now. LOL

Love the pictures. It's amazing seeing them growing up so fast.

I know...

I know - that rain was awful! The only good part is that we had most of WS to ourselves for the first half of the day.

I don't think V's bottom was stuck up in the air - but it could have been. I remember ROFLing at the position she was sleeping in, I don't think that was it???

THanks about the shirts too... It was kind of a bummer that they were hiding under our ponchos all day though.

Once your launch bag gets posted you will be booked for six years instead of six months

You're too funny Andrea... I really don't think it will work like that.

Too bad about the rain... I know they need it down there, just not on my vacation.

Exactly...

How did you get so many Photopass pictures We went for 2 weeks and had about 500 which I thought was alot.

I started with 425 photos... The rest were edits. GULP!

And I never knew they did Tink in the hand at Epcot either. I will have to remember that in 61 days

I was told, on this trip, by a few different photographers... I guess they have a different Tink for each park. I think we got all of them except for DHS? I'll have to go look now... So, now you'll have to ask in each park. LOL I can't believe your trip is so close!!! I am super excited for you! You really need to do a PTR so I can be nosey about your trip. :thumbsup2 Puuulllleeeezzzzeeeee........ popcorn::

Well, I had a busy day yesterday...

It's Alli's 14th Birthday!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALLIparty:party:party::bday::bday::bday:

The name of the group for the launch is Main Street Boutiques, You need to like the page on FB. There is going to be some fabulous things listed.

Thanks D~! We are doing well here. Busy, busy, busy is our mantra right now. Work is getting crazy, so many jobs and not enough time for them all. But we'd rather have that than the opposite! 99% of the time I love my job, it is a great creative outlet and no two jobs are the same. I love solving the problem of where to put what and how to make it all fit and ensure that everything meets code.

We are also getting ready for race season, which starts in 3 weeks :scared1:! DH picked up the new trailer last weekend, sold the old trailer two days later and we are just finishing some repairs to our motorhome. I am looking forward to the season though. It'll be good to see our "race family" every couple of weeks. :yay: This year is going to be interesting as I try to run the race nights for our group and crew for DH on his car (which we finally were able to afford to fix after two years!). If I don't reply for a couple of weeks, you'll know I'm trying to recouperate from racing!

It's Alli's 14th Birthday!!!

Can you believe it????

:cheer2:Happy birthday Alli!party::cake:party:

Love all the pictures through the years! It is amazing to watch how they grow and change. I especially love the last one - what a great smile and you can see the lovely young lady she is turning into. And having met both of your girls, I can say that you and Josh have done a wonderful job with them!

sounds like you are getting more than your monies worth on your photopass CD :thumbsup2

great photos, love all the extra borders and magic shot of Tink!

bummer about the rain...we had a raining morning one day last April too! does clear the park out though ::yes::

:bday:party: Happy Birthday Alli

love seeing her growing up!

I got a phone call from my dad a little while ago... I didn't want to post this on FB, because I don't want to get the family all upset.

Some of you may know, one of my biggest fears is my dad and brother getting into a car accident together. My dad is gettng older and has a learning disability - so his driving skills some times leave me questioning whether he should be driving or not. My dad is always traveling to places that are far away (relatively speaking) and his cars aren't always the most reliable. Often times, he has my brother with him (my brother is handicapped) and I am just a ball of nerves whenever I know they are traveling together... All my eggs are in one basket - if you know what I mean. Usually, if my dad is planning on driving anywhere with Jonathan, he won't tell me, because I go off and lecture him about safety for 20 minutes. Anyways, here's a picture of my dad and brother taken at our house on Easter weekend:
IMG_4975.jpg

So, my dad called me this morning to tell me that he was just in a car accident with Jonathan. Of course, I freak out before he can finish telling me what happened. At least I was able to find out that they were both OK. I guess, my dad was stopped at a stop sign where cross traffic doesn't stop, he didn't see the oncoming truck, and it broadsided the passenger side of the car. My dad said the truck saw them in pleanty of time to hit the brakes enough that it wasn't a horrible impact... It sounds like most of the damage was to one of the fenders (he didn't specify front or back) - but Jonathan was in the front passenger seat. Because Jonathan is hydrocephalic, I worry a lot about brain/neck injuries, because of his shunt. I really wanted my dad to take him into the hospital to have him checked out, just in case. But my dad insisted he was fine - and I do know he would rush Jonathan to the hospital if he suspected anything at all was wrong - so I trust his judgement on that. I just feel so helpless being so far away.

I do know that the impact was enough that my dad's car had to be towed away.

Immediately, after getting off the phone with my dad, I talked to Josh. Josh and I decided to call Jonathan's foster family (he has lived with them for 25+ years, so I've known them most of my life and they are like extended family to me)... Jonathan's foster-mom assured me that she would make sure that Jonathan gets the care he needs if he needs it. She also let me know that his shunt is non-functioning at the moment - so that is not a concern. I feel better knowing that she is going to check on him.

In all the hoopla - I forgot to ask my dad if he is OK - aside from the initial "Are you both OK?" question. So, I will have to call him this afternoon and talk to him when my mind is a little less flustererd.

So... Would you all just say a short prayer... I am sure everything is fine, because my dad wouldn't question anything if he thought that Jonathan was hurt.

I am just thankful, I knew this would happen some day, and I am very thankful that it appears they are both OK. Somone stepped in and moved the car just enough so the impact wasn't where Jonathan was sitting. For that, I am very grateful.

D~

Oh no D~ how scary, hope they will both be fine...should get checked out though for whiplash, they are probably going to be sore...thankful they weren't seriously hurt :goodvibes

D, sorry to hear of the accident. Fingers are crossed that nothing results from the fender bender. Sending out prayers to your family!

Glad to hear they are both fine. Side impact crashes always scare me...that is how Mr D was injured. Also good to know someone is there to check on them for you.

The Main Street Boutiques Launch is totally fun! To shop, all you have to do is 'like' us on Facebook. You will soon start seeing some sneak peeks of some of the wonderful things that are being planned for it.

D~ We will list the items directly on the MSB page (not the MSB chat page) Leslie will put up a web page soon that has the html language 'stuff' so that the buyer can have something to click on to see more pictures of the item. (we are supposed to put a link to it on our listing, but truthfully I forgot to on all 4 of my listings...ooops!)

I guarantee you, if you put your bag as an auction, with the starting bid of the absolute least you will accept for it...it will sell! You will be surprised at the way the bidding gets going on these items! (I promise you it will sell!!! )

(the chat board is a little quiet right now...once some of the items start getting finished you will see lots more chatter.... )

Now, if the Disboards would just start behaving I would be so happy! I am not getting notifications of any of my subscribed threads...and it won't remember me from one screen to the next! ARGH!

Nini

First, many prayers that both Jonathan and your father are fine. Thank goodness the driver of the truck was able to slow as much as he apparently did.

Second, a very Happy Birthday to Alli and I'm sorry for the news of the accident on her special day. I love your photo tribute to her :) I hope it is still a very spectacular day for her! What did she get for presents??? I know, you got her a trip to Charlotte this August with you as an escort!!!!!

How scary about your dad and brother. I am glad they are okay and will send prayers.

:cake:party::bday: Happy Bday to Alli.... she is growing up to be a beautiful lady.:goodvibes
