Sew much to do, sew little time - but it was worth it! New PTR link posted! ~~~~~~~~~

Another amazing bag you have made. I can't belive you hand appliqued the PP It must have been a lot of hard work :worship:

cute pics at AK! nice you got to see lots of characters!

good luck getting all your errands done quickly....boo to V for not wearing her rubber bands...let her know when I wore braces way back in the olden days :rotfl: I had to wear headgear, wore it as much as possible and got rid of it in 4 months, my DB also had to wear it and NEVER did and had it for over a year! hope she will get good news of when they are coming off!

more zippers too, boy you go through those things quick! good call on stocking up on your mailers too!

Well, I spend almost the entire day running errands - it was so annoying! But I did manage to get everything I needed.

I'm still here. :wave2: I'm just quiet and don't say much.

Enjoying all of the Disney pics and the bag pics!

Glad to see you're still here! :lovestruc

You have posted SO MANY PP pics over the weekend! I tend to not get on the internet during the weekends, just spend time with family...so you have NOT lost this reader, just MIA for the weekend. :thumbsup2 Isn't is just sad to have it come to an end. My TR is going to end WAAAYYY before I will be able to start a PTR. We will just have to find other ways to stalk each other. :rotfl2:

LOL Glad to see you're still here Oopsi! I"m lovin' your updates on your TR too!

I really like the Mary Poppins bag. Probably because it is very understated, which is my style, but it is beautiful just the same. I am still in awe of your talent for hand embroidery! :worship: I can't believe you did those letters by hand! They are not pratically perfect, they are perfect!

I am hoping the family drama is over and done with now as I hate it too. I love my DH's family to bits, but my SIL can test my patience some days. :scared: I think my DH sometimes wishes he could just cut them out of his life, but I know that would just kill him. But like I said, hopefully it is over now.

I really hope you do another PTR so I can live vicariously through your planning and trip since our next one will likely be years away. We have had a few unexpected house repairs/appliance breakdowns that we want to pay off before we can start saving for another trip. And DH wants our next trip to be another cruise. Maybe I can talk him into a Disney one! :thumbsup2

Thanks Tink. I hope your family drama is over too.

Yes, I plan on doing another PTR - I don't think I could handle not having some sort of venting spot. LOL

:wave2: I am still here. We were out of town at my sis-in-laws for a bday party. My kids only have 2 cousins and don't get to hang out so we decided to sleep over.

I am lucky that he loves it so much. Sometimes I think more than me:scratchin I am even luckier he likes wearing Disney stuff.:rotfl:

Everything is so adorable.

So sad that  that you won't be in the launch but I totally understand not having enough time.

I wore head gear too... but luckily I only had to wear it at night.

Yah, I am bummed about the launch too - I really love doing it, but there is just no way. I am lucky that I will be able to eek out time to go to Charlotte - and even that is pushing it!

My day will be spent in the sewing room. :wizard:

This was our rainy day in Epcot. I am very glad we stopped for pics on the way into the park, because all the Photopass photographers were gone by the time we left.

I am not sure if I told this story in my TR, but Aladdin LOVED the girls' bags, so they told him the standard "Thanks! My mom made them" reply. Aladdin was very impressed. He then asked me if I could make him one with Abu on it, and Victoria replied "Yah, for $400"... LOL Aladdin nearly choked. It was so funny... after that, he kept trying to get me to make him a bag because he was "Aladdin" - LOL

happy you got all your stuff during your run to town :thumbsup2

:rotfl: love it, what would you of done if Aladdin said sure I'll pay the $400? guess the girls realize how talented their mama is and what your work is worth:goodvibes

love seeing the new topiaries, different ones from last year at the ball, happy you got them done early too!

good luck sewing today, when can we expect the next bag???

Love the silver marker signing on the black bag strap~ such a marvelous idea! Was that yours or V's?

Poor Aladdin, him being a prince and all you would think he would be able to afford a SerendipiD~ bag! :confused3

Hey D, just wanted to stop by and say hey. Loved the new bag and all those PP pics. Those ones of our Epcot day together broght back some memories. I am still around, though it is hard to keep up around here. :lmao:

How sad is it that I can't remember if I commented or not. I have been crazy trying to finish an order and I am booked solid for about 8 weeks. Good I know but makes me crazy busy during our vacation time.

Okay so I totally love the Mary Poppins bag so very cool.

I am going to miss the next bag but will check in on our port canaveral/disney day.

Really, Aladdin should be able to fork over the money. Funny, our Aladdin asked for a shirt with Abu on it but I don't think it was the same one -- ours was cuter :) He was a flirt too and I loved him for that!!!! It's not often anyone flirts with us 29 year old girls anymore.

You have some great AK photopass pics!

D!!! I am back from Disney and slowly catching up on my Fave TR's. I started yours eons ago, but had to stop and prep for our trip, now I'm back. I am still wading through but I just read your report about 50's Prime Time and I had to stop and comment.....

I was so excited looking forward to our ADR at 50's Prime Time. Super excited. I can sympathize with how disapointed you were by your waitress. We had the same one! she was the same with us. I had to check my notes earlier to confirm the name (Which I have now forgotten) and yep same one. We didn't ask for anything. We got a TV table, and She was Nice and polite, but just a regular waitress. However she was more chatty with her other tables. She sat down with them and joked around and we got NOTHING! She did bring out V's dessert with a candle and asked if we should sing happy birthday which I said yes, but it was quiet and nothing special and that was it...... After hearing fun stories from so many others I was so disapointed. I made V a poodle skirt for lunch and not a single comment from anyone on it.....

Ahhhh just read Cogero's post that you made a mary poppins bag.... (I shouldn't have read that!) I have slowly been making a list of possibilities of what I may want when I finally get to ordering a bag from you and Mary was on my list!

That was V's bag... Yah - it did turn out really cool. We just love having their bags signed - it makes for a very unique and fun souvenier. Both of their bags hang on their bedroom walls - awaiting our next trip. But you know me, if we go again, I will end up making them new ones.

Yah - I thought so too? LOL Maybe next time, I will make an Abu one for myself, and see if he notices?

Thanks for stopping by Corri! :) I know it's hard to keep up... As soon as I finish this TR, I might go around looking for more PTRs to follow... Or then again, I might not - since I can hardly keep up with the ones I am following. :surfweb:

Welcome back!!! I am so bummed that you had the same experience at 50's, that is so sad. For me, I guess I would be ok if it was just me - but your dd must have been so heartbroken. I'll never forget, her name was Elaine... and I hope I never have her as my waitress again. I sure hope the rest of your trip was better. :wizard:

Ahhhh just read Cogero's post that you made a mary poppins bag.... (I shouldn't have read that!) I have slowly been making a list of possibilities of what I may want when I finally get to ordering a bag from you and Mary was on my list!

I plan to open my schedule in September... Just glancing at my calendar for next year, I'll have about 40 slots available... Which isn't very many - I haven't actually counted, I am just guesstimating - but I have about 150 people waiting for those slots (I turn away an average of 15-20 people per week!), so I suspect I will fill up quite quickly. I just wanted you to know, in case you were thinking of one for next year. :wizard:

Last night after dinner, we went out to our portion of the community garden to pick green beans... the girls and I came home and snipped beans, then I blanched them and froze them. I hope we get more, because we had some for dinner last night, and they were amazing! As for the rest of the garden... We did get a few sweet peas - but the rabbits got more than we did. We also got quite a few radishes - however they are not my favorite - so Josh better get to eatin' them. We got a bag of carrots, which reminds me - I need to get those cleaned/blanched/frozen too. Our onions never made it. We have lots of flowers on our squash, cucumbers and watermelons - but we are fighting the squash bugs right now... Hopefully we win!

As for our salad garden... We have lots of lettuce - and it's so nummy!!! I just love having fresh lettuce! Our tomato plants are huge, with lots of flowers and green tomatoes on them - Looking forward to adding those to our salads in the coming weeks. If we get as many tomatoes as we have flowers, I will most likely be canning a lot. We also have acorn squash in that garden (Josh's favorite) - lots of flowers there - and knock on wood - no sign of squash bugs yet.

I am headed to the annual American Girl warehouse sale in Madison, WI on Saturday! I am very excited. I don't think I have anything on my list yet, but I am going with my 2 cousins and my aunt - we've gone before and we have lots of fun. It's about a 4 hour drive from my house, and they have a 3 hour drive to get to my house! Gulp! At least I live at a good stopping point for them! :wizard: I will be sure to take a few pictures (I can't take pictures inside the sale - not allowed) to post in my TR when I get back. :woohoo:

I have to work today, so no sewing room.

I hope you all have a fantastic day!

LOL - well, I would have put Aladdin in line with the rest. popcorn::

I had a great day in the sewing room yesterday... I managed to accomplish more than I thought I would - so that's good. :) I have some super fun ideas for this bag, and I am really excited to see if they work. :rolleyes1

I am so happy to hear that you are booked solid for 8 weeks!!! WTG!!! :woohoo: It's such an amazing feeling, but at the same time there's so much pressure. It was so hard for me to go to the lake, knowing that I have 30+ weeks of work at home, and a line of people waiting for me to open my 2013 schedule... Very daunting. Not so much about having the work, but if I fall behind on one, all the rest behind them will be late too... It's very hard. So, I completely understand! :worship:

I think so too! I sure don't feel 29 though... :3dglasses

Quick drive by post...

Just thought you might like to know you and your UPBs are the talk of FB over on the Disney Custom-a-holic page!

Those ladies are tough and they are raving about your bags and AG dresses! (and I can say "I knew her when"! )

Nini

Nini what is the link for this fb page?

The garden is awesome! I had to cut the rest of our lettuce last night after work - I got out there just before a thunderstorm - phew! Then I spent the next hour cleaning lettuce - and defending my kitchen from various insects - even a grasshopper that V had to help me with. :rolleyes1 But we have a ton of beautiful lettuce to eat over the next few days - I just LOVE fresh lettuce from the garden! Note to self for next season - invest in a better salad spinner - the one I have is horrible!

Um yah, the girls are not going with me to the AG sale. It's kind of a madhouse, and it isn't recommended the kids go to the sale - they don't let you bring strollers or anything with wheels into the building. They will get to stay home. :wizard:

:scared1:

I feel so special and privileged to have a slot this year! :cloud9:

I had a boring day at work yesterday. :worship: I got home to a quiet house (very unusual)... Josh was in bed, and the girls were in Allison's room having a Potter-a-thon. And they were getting along! :woohoo: But they came down stairs to tell me that Josh's back went out at work yesterday. :sad2: Poor guy - these episodes seem to be getting more and more frequent. They used to happen about once a year, I don't remember the last one, but it wasn't that long ago - after Disney for sure. I'll have to go back in my TR and find out, because I am sure I said something about it. It was definately after his neck surgery though - because I remember being so worried about him popping his incision that wasn't quite healed yet. He is home from work today, and hopefully he is able to work through it soon. This time, for sure, there was nothing that he did to set if off - he wasn't carrying anything heavy, twisting wrong or anything like that. I just feel so badly for him.

I plan to spend the day in my sewing room - working on the applique. :wizard:

Have a marvelous day all!
