Love them! My all time favorite pic of V over all the others I have seen is the great big smile with her arms extended...beautiful! And the picture of you giving Alli the "stink eye"? Great pictures, D~! Have a wonderful day tomorrow at the AG sale!
Yah, I do love that pic!

I am up and at 'em bright and early today - waiting for my coffee to brew...

After looking at your last posts of pictures I hereby declare that you
MUST return in March. How does the song go. . . "Making memories, making memories, taking pictures is making memories."
You'll never ever regret time spend making memories with your daughters.
<----he's mad because he can't find his camera
HI CHERYL!!!!! I am glad to see you! I agree - I hope to make more memories with the girls this spring.
happy to hear Josh is up and about today
Hope Victoria gets her bag finished, can't wait to see it!

You are going to do great on the flight D~ just breathe slowly, bring a good book or some music to listen too!

cute photo with Stitch and the ice cream, haven't ever seen that one before. and I love the one with the girls sitting back to back, so sweet!
have a great day of sewing!
Actually in the 5th photo is Haunted Mansion.
V finished her bag last night - I'll be posting pictures shortly. It turned out really cute - she did a GREAT JOB!
I am up way too early for the AG sale...
Here she is ....
I haven't done anything yet, except change the belt.
I'm thinking about naming her Mo, that's the name of the girl I bought her from. I also like Minnie, because she's a mini machine What do you think?
As you can see in the background, I have two other machines

Yikes, you've created a monster. The one on the left is my old Kenmore. I took it apart to replace a cam gear (so it will zig zag) It just came in the mail today, so wish me luck! I'm really not sure I can get it all back together again!
The other is an old Singer Merritt a friend gave me
She is BEAUTIFUL!!! I love naming her Minnie - you could call her "Mo" for short.

I have to snicker a little bit... It's actually quite common for people who restore vintage machines to name them after their previous owners... So, believe it or not, I often sit at my machine and wonder what those previous owners would think if they knew that the machine they sewed at for years now had their name. I dunno...

Maybe I am weird? But, if I am lucky, maybe in 100 years, someone will "adopt" Patience and name her D~?

I guess I would just be thrilled that somone was still sewing with her, and I could care less what they named her.
I love all your other machines too!! I can't believe that I get all the blame for those machines.

It's getting to the point where I need to ask you for advise.
Speaking of which, I snuck into Goodwill while I was in town yesterday... They had a very nice Necci machine for $20... I almost grabbed it - it was very clean, and very smooth - I would have snapped it up for $10 though. But I just left it there. I've never sewn on a Necci before, I've heard very good things about them though, if I did buy another machine, it would have to take Mr. R's place, and we are just starting to get along again.

I couldn't do that to him - even if he is a tempermental ol' guy.
D I am all caught up on your TR!!!! So sad that the actual trip part is over. Guess that means you need another PTR!!!!!
Wow!!! I am quite impressed that you've finished!
I had a really long reply typed out and then the IPAD ate it. I don't understand my ipad at all. It just goes to the home screen all on it's own and eats my replies all the time. You'd think i would have learned my lesson not to do long replies on it, but alas I have not.
I was snickering about this for a little while last night... I was thinking to myself that if your "really long reply" was eaten by your Ipad... Then what was this?

Was this considered your short reply? Or was this considered your short reply turned long? Sorry, but I considered this reply a very long reply. Thank for the chuckle.
Anyways First Off....
The lake sounds fabulous!!!
I looked at the pics of your house Renos -OMG amazing what a talented husband you have!
Thank you... It was a long hard road, and I am so glad it's over! It was a year of a HUGE mess outside and I was going crazy. LOL
MM is such a cutie!!!! I hope all the potty training is done and over with.
This might help in the future or for anyone else, but the way we always potty trained our dogs is crating them at night and making the crate smaller like you did. First thing in the morning, you get them up, pick them up and carry them outside to the grass, don't let their feet touch the ground. and then let them go and praise. and throughougt the day same thing, just taking them out lots and praising if they have an accident in the house, you just take them to it, say NO very firmly and take them right outside. Excellent for all the dogs we have had. EXCEPT for our current who was actually my brothers dog and my brother is lazy and didn't do it properly so the dog had accidents for months. Not to say that that method works for all dogs, but it worked for 4 dogs we've had. Never do the puppy pads, once you train them to go on a pad it is SO much harder to get them to go outside and then they'll just pick anything that looks like a pad to pee on. Anyways... he is such a cutie, I know it is hard, but i really think having another puppy helps. you're never replacing Ruf but adding to your family.
Thank you for the advise - that is very close to what we did. MM is totally potty trained now - so much so - that he borders on annoying. He is very tall, and we taught him to scratch the door when he needs to go out - but now that he is so tall, the actually scratches the door handle, so all we hear all day long is the "boing" of the handle. LOL And if we don't have the air on, and just the screen door - then he jumps up on the screen door and pushes it open, lets it slam shut, pushes it open, lets it slam shut... FOREVER until we let him out. LOL He is a very good dog though... If only we could get him to stop nipping the girls... He likes to nip them at the top of their legs, and they usually give him huge reactions - which he equates to attention - and I think that's why he keeps doing it. Grrrr....
Disney trip, This should be at the top of the list! What an amazing trip you guys had, so fun. You can tell from the pictures that you all were really truly just happy to be there. Pixie Dust for the AK parade, how awesome was that!!!!! Someone here tried to arrange some AK Parade pixie dust for V and I but unfortunately it didn't work out. We had a great time watching the parade. So Fun! Fantastic photo pass pictures!!!! I am so jealous. I bought the photo pass + and even so there was only a couple photographers who did extra pictures of V knowing that we had already bought it. There were a few who wouldn't even do pics of V meeting characters, only the 2 posed pictures of V and the character. And then again I had some awesome photo pass pics too. I was just overall disapointed with our PP experience. Photographers were hard to find and so many pictures i just looked at are blurry

Oh well.
Sorry about your AK day and your PHotopass pictures. Both are such a bummer! Towards the end, if I noticed that the photographers weren't taking pictures - I just asked them to take more. After that incident with Goofy in Epcot and I had to tell the photographer to "could you take more pictures of this please?" LOL They were all really good about it after I asked.
Glad that Ali was feeling better, heat stroke can be awful. There was a few times where I definitely had too much sun and not enough water and I just felt awful on our trip. Hydrate! So glad that you did fly home. You're right nothing is better medicine than sleeping in your own bed. last years trip I got sick the day before we flew home (we weren't at Disney thank goodness). We were at my bosses house and thought I had caught a 24 hour bug. I have never felt so sick in my life; high fever, complete body shaking shills that left me feeling like I had pulled muscles. I felt better the next day and we flew home. I had developed a rash on my leg and we figured it was just from the fever. I don't know how high the fever was but it was pretty high, worst headache i had ever felt in my life. I was popping aleve and nothing helped. Finally I took tylenol and that did. Anyways flew home, got in around 5 pm and at 3 AM I was in the ER with a temp of over 102, I think it was around 102.7 or 8 and my leg was so swollen and sore I could hardly walk. Nope not a 24 hour bug. I had Cellulitis which is a blood infection. Doctor wanted to admit me since I was so far gone, but mom managed to convince him against it since She would be home with me the whole time.
Oh no!!! I am so glad that you went in to get it checked out. That had to have been horrible!
Anyways enough of that and on to the bags
I LOVE your Dumbo bag!!!! I remember seeing the sneak peeks before the launch and knowing right away it was dumbo it was just so bright and colorful. So darned cute! and now you have The EPB hmmmmmmmm
I LOVE the Mary poppins UPB. Mary holds a special spot in my heart since it was my favourite movie as a kid, and is one of V's favourites now. And of course since I have been a nanny for 6 years, 4 of those with V. I thought about Mary for mine, assuming I get on your list in Sept, but I'd want a Jolly Holiday one and White is just so NOT practical!!!! Back to the drawing board I go. one other bag that really stuck out for me was the Tigger one. LOVE IT!!!! and I lvoe the addition of the back slip pocket. that is so handy.alright enough, looking forward to more pictures!!!
I hope you have a blast at the AG sale. V LOVES her AG doll. She named her Elizabeth. My task for the day is to figure out how to fix the dolls hair, it took a beating at Disney!
If you google it, there are ways to fix it... At one point people were "Downy Dunking" them... I did it once for the girls' dolls and it worked wonders - but in the end I often wondered if it did more harm than good? After about 4 years, we just sent the dolls in for a head replacement.
Just stopping in to say hi! Getting good use out of my Squishy Bag! I've had lots of compliments on it
Yay!!! Hi Suzi!!! I've been following your trip via your PTR and FB!!! Lovin' it! I hope Dani is lovin'g it too!
Fabulous report - Love all the pictures. All of your bags blow me away - but that Mary Poppins bag is just ridiculous! You are my sewing idol!!

Your humble beginnings give me hope. Can't wait to see what you come up with next. Congratulations on your new addition - he's adorable. What a sweet family you guys are. Thanks for sharing
WELCOME!!! And thank you!

I hope you'll continue to follow along - what little I have left anyways... I hope to start a PTR again soon.
Last night, I helped V finish her bag... I will be posting pictures of that shortly. She did an amazing job with it! So very proud of her!
I am up bright and early to head out to the AG sale - it should promise to be lots of fun!

So, no sewing for me... I will probably be pretty tired by the time I get home tonight.
Have a wonderful day everyone!
