Alison, when you figure out how to garner a good crowd let me know. Around here we have discovered that if the concerts are free (which ours are) people don't come; if there is an admission charge they show up in droves. Go figure...

I know, we've gone back and forth between the two. When we charged everyone in the band got two free tickets and we still didn't get much of an audience. By contrast, all the Gay Mens choruses here sell out three shows a weekend!

Good morning all the J's & K's out there.

It has been a weird trip so far, the conference rooms are so cold that everyone is walking around freezing and then you walk outside and it is so hot and humid it will fog over your glasses and take your breath away.

Now this is the third day here and half the people I work with are sick and sound awful, like it is settling in their throats.

I so don't want to be sick, I must remember to drink alcohol to kill the germs.

"The Nahtazu was a specialty drink served at AKL when it first opened. There are two bartenders, who have worked at the Uzima Falls pool bar since the AKL opened, that have the recipe in their "black book."

The Nahtazu is a sweet, delicious drink. It's a little sweeter than the Victoria Falls Mist.



Nahtazu:

3/4 ounce Malibu Rum
3/4 ounce Melon Liquor
2 ounces Sour or Daiquiri Mix
4 ounces Pineapple Juice

Shake together over ice. Splash with 1/4 ounce of Chambord.
Garnish with an orange slice and cherry."

I C I C said the blind man. Thnx for the info. We definitely are taking atrip over to the lodge on our AK day. I forgot where are ressies are at. I think boma. But i ve been hearing good things about sanaa and jiko. Any preferences?

We visited AKL on previous trips just to look around, eat at Mara, and shop. Our first AKL stay (savannah view) is next week. We leave on Saturday and will arrive at AKL before lunch on Sunday. We have reservations for Boma and Sanaa. Getting excited!
