Good morning, Js & Ks! I am back home from Fort Bragg. Have a week to get things caught up here at home before I head to Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington State for a week. I had a 4 day WDW trip planned for 2/7-11 which I had to cancel eek. I will make up for it in the near future!

Yes, and it will be very fitting to be at Old Key West for this. We were in Florida for Thanksgiving in 2007 when we had a look at DVC and we actually bought in the day after Thanksgiving. I had not realised this before, but I rather like the idea of spending our 5 year anniversary as DVC members at our home resort.

I have this cruise..., a trip to Vegas in April, a trip to Peru in may, a trip to ok and tx in sept, then Disney in Oct.... I don't dh would let me plan anything else but i might try...

I think I could understand why he might feel that way!

But it's DISNEY!!!!!!

That is awesome...we stayed at our home resort for the first time this past Oct and we have had DVC for 10 years..

We stayed at OKW in 2008 and 2009, but have since tried a few of the other resorts (AKV, BLT, VGC)

A birthday trip and a DVC anniversary, very cool I've been catching up on your TRs and have thoroughly enjoyed reading about your adventures. Your Hawaii cruise is coming up soon!

Thanks. DH has had three birthdays with the Mouse in a row. In 2009, we were on the Disney Magic. In 2010 we stayed at BLT and last year we were on the Disney Wonder so I figure this year is my turn.

I can never quite believe just how big those rooms at OKW are. We love to stay in the Turtle Pond Road area and we often have to pool to ourselves as well.

Ia hev yet to stay tere but I'll try it one of these trips. there was a thread earlier this week where someone was asking if they should stay te the Poly or OKW and of course those rabid Poly fans that have never stayed at a villa were all talking about OKW like it was some dump! I'm glad to hear about the size of the rooms! One thing owning DVC has done of us now is spoiled us on rooms size! We just did a quick in promptu trip for DH and I 2 weeks ago and jsut got a studio at BLT. Dear LORD that was small, even for us 2. I didn't like how small it was. Granted a Poly room is 100 more SqF but no thanks.

Of course though, it's back to AKV for us this fall.

Yep, my alma mater, too! Class of '80. We were there the weekend of the snow two weeks ago to watch my son swim and I couldn't believe how much it changed!

I met Shaun years ago when I worked with his mom. He was a very polite young man. I know he does some charity fundraising in my area as that is where he grew up and went to HS. I was bummed when it wasn't near my BK, but I guess Wayne is closer to where he lives.
