Ann,

Welcome back! Glad you are home safe and sound...

So I tell you that I am so nervous.... David is having his interview in 15 minutes. We talked and talked, I prepped him with interview questions, and he seemed pretty cool under the collar, but of course he knows me... But it has been 20 years since he interviewed for a job, normally he is the one interviewing, not being interviewed...

Oh well, fingers crossed!

Brandi & David, Congratulations to you both! I was just typing up a post regarding all that has happened with David and sending prayers and pixiedust. I am so happy for you both. Just goes to show how valuable David is in his field to be grabbed up on his first interview. Praise God!

Your post made me smile Alison ::yes:: I have really missed you all too. Sending you a PM Alison.

It was a good trip. They both now seem centered and much more calm. They now have some answers that they did not have before. My friends were ok with being lead without question into all the treatments and was afraid IMHO to speak up to the specialists and doctors. They ask me to go with them on every appointment and be in the room with them. When they saw me asking questions, taking notes, and questioning some of the treament....as to "is there other options". They both came to realize they had to become involved.

Due to the changes made (because they were not informing the specialists what all was going on with my friend) he is doing so much better with the treatment. He is looking better and eating healthy, as well as eating more. They love their back yard, which turned out fantastic...if I have to say so myself :rolleyes1 I also contacted some mutual friends we all have in San Diego so there is going to be more local support for them. I also contact a housekeeper I know from SD and she interviewed with my friends. I think it will be a good mix with her coming once a week to clean and do whatever else needs to be done. I am sure I will be returning at least once to SD before our WDW trip and will certainly keep in contact with them by phone until then. Please keep them in your prayers.

Ann,

Welcome back! Glad you are home safe and sound...

Thank you Brandi. Hope you and David are going out for a celebration dinner tonight. :yay:

Good afternoon, Js & Ks! :sunny:

Ann,

Your friends are very lucky to have you in their lives. Continued prayers for them.

Jambo!

Exciting news! I'm in the process of planning a short getaway to the World next month. It will be a few days of family time there which will include my parents (that live in Cocoa), my sister and her fam that will be coming from TX, myself, and hopefully we can convince grandma to come with me too.
I decided that since I don't have any near future plans to use my DVC points at the World, that I would use my points to get a 2-bedroom we could all stay in. I checked what was currently available and gave my parents 4 options - they chose Animal Kingdom!!!
I would leave IL late Sun and not get to Disney until after midnight. I thought about getting a hotel room somewhere (maybe at the airport or a value resort) then checking into the Villa Monday OR I could just check into the Villa when I get in. I know the 2nd option isn't the best use of points in terms of time spent in the Villa, but I think the points are worth the convenience of not switching rooms and having to wait until later Mon afternoon to check into the Villa. Please share your opinions/experiences on those options.
As far as a room request, can you also share your opinions/experiences on which savanna (Arusha, Sunset, or Uzima) or room number(s) might offer some better views? I'm almost positive this info is out there but I will totally admit I'm a bit lazy to research right now. But I promise to share pics after I get back if you can help me out!!!

We are going next month too:cool1: What are your dates?

He got the job!!!!!!!!!
