Yes we work for the same company.... He was 19 years in Feb, so I guess technically he is in his 20th year. I had 8 May 3rd.... So not nearly as much as him but still more than a few years...

But again it still has not made a difference to anyone at this point.

But we are getting better. And with the upcoming interview, now he is getting nervous about that. So seems like a never ending cycle right now.:rolleyes1

....all things considered, a bit of the nervous nellies about what promises ahead, rather than what could have been, seems the better of the two...listen, obviously he's done SOMETHING right to last there more than 19 years, so he shouldn't doubt himself.... Things always have a funny way of working themselves out...

...Since Laura isn't doing too well right now, Erin wouldn't want to bother her.

...understandable. Too bad I hadn't known sooner - I'd have suggested getting together a collection from all of us and buying them a little something that your DD could have hand-delivered! Oh well....:confused3

Oh I think he is a very talented guy, who knows how to work hard and get his employees to work hard, without berating or breaking a person down. He is a wonderful leader. And he is smart!

But again I love the guy!

I really hope they work out and he is happy and can enjoy the new job, which every one he chooses.

...you're doin' the 1-week wiggle....yippee.
[...but srsly, that's awesome - can't you tell I'm a bit jealous? ]

...and he should wear a Mickey tie! :teeth:

that would be cute, but he does not own one! Now that I think about it, it is kind of a shame that he does not have one! maybe when we have a job lined up I will get him one! Hate to spend $$$ right now until we know what our life will be like. BUT I like the idea of him having a Mickey tie.

Brandi I was going to ask how David is doing today, but it sounds like things are looking up. How are his spirits?

Alison, how is Fran?

Kim, don't you remember us telling you to just go on a trip without DH?

Wendy, how is DS? Looking like he'll be well come travel day? And hooray for 6 days!!!

Everyone else, anything new? Hope you're all well :)

Just skimmed the last few pages, so I'm sure I missed something, but Brandi, did I see that your hubby got laid off? I am sooooo sorry:grouphug: Crossing my fingers he find something even better:thumbsup2

I'm covering the overnight shift tonight (I know I said I'd never do it again) so right now I am trying to be as busy as possible so about 5pm, maybe I'll be able to sleep a while:confused3

See you all soon! Hopefully tomorrow:goodvibes

23 more days 'til Kidani:cheer2:

Brandi, I'm glad David has an interview and things are looking up!

Wendy, yay for less than one week.

Alison, how is Fran?

She got frustrated with her Doctor because he was constantly blowing her off, and switched to another in the same clinic. Her first official visit with him is Wed. He saw her briefly last week when the other wasn't in and we liked him better. He also told her that she didn't need to elevate 24-7 and could do some daily business, so Friday the nurse scolded her when her leg had swelled up. She's back on her back with the led up! :lmao:

We liked this doctor because he asked, "What is the plan?" Her doctor had not written any plan since April 11, and in 5 minutes this new doctor had 3-4 options he would have done if she was his patient.

23 day dance!!! :dance3::cool1::dance3:

I hope work goes well :)

Any more news with you going back to school?

He is doing much better the prospect of an interview has perked him right up!:thumbsup2

I'm so glad! Is this a place he would be excited to work for?

If I'm not being too nosey, can I ask if you're going to stay at your job? I imagine you can't have very good feelings about them now that all this has happened.

I'm glad her old doctor wasn't in. This one seems like he has a kinder more level head on his shoulders.

Thank you for the support you have shown...

David and I had a heart to heart last night and I told that as long as WE (he and I) were ok that we could tackle anything, that we can be as strong as anyone as long as we are doing this together. I think he finally understood that he was not alone.

:grouphug: Hugs Brandi ... that is just terrible how they are treating him after 19 years:sad2:

:cool1: It says 6 days now.... how wonderful :cloud9:

:scared1: He doesn't own a Mickey tie...:lmao: my DH has a few and purchased them off of ebay since they were so much cheaper than buying at the store.

Jambo!

Exciting news! I'm in the process of planning a short getaway to the World next month. It will be a few days of family time there which will include my parents (that live in Cocoa), my sister and her fam that will be coming from TX, myself, and hopefully we can convince grandma to come with me too.
I decided that since I don't have any near future plans to use my DVC points at the World, that I would use my points to get a 2-bedroom we could all stay in. I checked what was currently available and gave my parents 4 options - they chose Animal Kingdom!!!
I would leave IL late Sun and not get to Disney until after midnight. I thought about getting a hotel room somewhere (maybe at the airport or a value resort) then checking into the Villa Monday OR I could just check into the Villa when I get in. I know the 2nd option isn't the best use of points in terms of time spent in the Villa, but I think the points are worth the convenience of not switching rooms and having to wait until later Mon afternoon to check into the Villa. Please share your opinions/experiences on those options.
As far as a room request, can you also share your opinions/experiences on which savanna (Arusha, Sunset, or Uzima) or room number(s) might offer some better views? I'm almost positive this info is out there but I will totally admit I'm a bit lazy to research right now. But I promise to share pics after I get back if you can help me out!!!

Congratulations on your upcoming trip! I agree on the convenience of not changing resorts, but maybe you could just do a studio for that first night, if its available, and not use so many points. That way you could just move your suitcase. That would still be a tough one for me.

I don't know how limited the choices are with the two bedrooms. I know there is a map of where the DVC rooms are but don't know off the top of my head. The view will be great everywhere though so I wouldn't worry.
