If I'm not being too nosey, can I ask if you're going to stay at your job? I imagine you can't have very good feelings about them now that all this has happened.

I can tell you that my feelings are hurt, I am mad and disheartened, and am upset with how they handeled everything. That being said, i work in an entirely different operation, they would not let me work in the same operation, since he was a vp.

But I can tell you that I have been thinking of leaving the company because I felt like we needed to diversify our jobs, money and holdings..

But, i know that my customer is very happy with the work that i am doing and treat me very well, granted sometimes I travel too much but i have well paying job and the people treat me well ...

So for now I am staying, but will be looking.

Exciting news! I'm in the process of planning a short getaway to the World next month. It will be a few days of family time there which will include my parents (that live in Cocoa), my sister and her fam that will be coming from TX, myself, and hopefully we can convince grandma to come with me too.
I decided that since I don't have any near future plans to use my DVC points at the World, that I would use my points to get a 2-bedroom we could all stay in. I checked what was currently available and gave my parents 4 options - they chose Animal Kingdom!!!
I would leave IL late Sun and not get to Disney until after midnight. I thought about getting a hotel room somewhere (maybe at the airport or a value resort) then checking into the Villa Monday OR I could just check into the Villa when I get in. I know the 2nd option isn't the best use of points in terms of time spent in the Villa, but I think the points are worth the convenience of not switching rooms and having to wait until later Mon afternoon to check into the Villa. Please share your opinions/experiences on those options.
As far as a room request, can you also share your opinions/experiences on which savanna (Arusha, Sunset, or Uzima) or room number(s) might offer some better views? I'm almost positive this info is out there but I will totally admit I'm a bit lazy to research right now. But I promise to share pics after I get back if you can help me out!!!

I think it all depends on when the rest of your party are arriving, I wouldn't use points for a two bedroom for just one person for the night and would rather change rooms, but if the rest can arrive and use the room and check in I would do it. I take it you are planning on Jambo since you didn't mention the Pembe Savannah.

Wow! I can't believe that that they gave this kind of treatment to a VP! That's just insane. If I were you, I would keep the feelers out there. If they can treat him like this, there's no guarantee that they won't do it to you. From what you said about your leave, you are obviously valuable, but companies today are so cuthroat, I wouldn't put anything past them.

I was just saying that when you took your leave, you said that nothing was done on any of your projects and they essentially waited for you to come back. Obviously you are important there because nothing got done when you were gone!

Congratulations on your upcoming trip! I agree on the convenience of not changing resorts, but maybe you could just do a studio for that first night, if its available, and not use so many points. That way you could just move your suitcase. That would still be a tough one for me.

I don't know how limited the choices are with the two bedrooms. I know there is a map of where the DVC rooms are but don't know off the top of my head. The view will be great everywhere though so I wouldn't worry.

So I didn't finalize the room reservation last night because I still haven't 100% decided whether I would fly in late Sunday night or early Mon AM. And of course there's no 2-bedrooms for all 3 nights at AKV at all right now. Which is ok because I'm not set on staying there, I wouldn't mind staying at a different DVC resort. My other options are likely to be Old Key West or Saratoga Springs - AKL lovers have any preference over either one?

I most likely wouldn't need the 2 bedroom for the 1st night because I'm pretty
sure the rest of the family is not going to meet me there after midnight. Depending on how flight plans play out I think I might just get a studio for the 1st night (if I fly down late Sun) then move into the 2 bedroom (or whatever I end up booking) when it's available Monday - it wouldn't be too many hours without a room and most likely I would be at the park during those hours anyways.

LOVE this pin. (I'm only a mom to a fur baby and a Godmother which is important to me, but it's still not quite the same to actually own Mothers Day product).

That was 100% correct... While I was out for 8 weeks, not a thing got taken care of, can you imagine, I am still trying to catch up. Ughhh, maybe I do need a new job where they help me.

I must say that I have one guy that works for me that does the job of several people, he is amazing and if they got rid of him for some reason I would quit, I could not get it all done by myself...

The others that work for me could come or go, no big deal.

yes you can walk to Kidani, but it is along the road on the sidewalk. It is about 15 minutes, they do provide shuttle services between the two resorts.

You can use the pool, but if it is crowded they can turn you away, since it is not your home resort.

Just got home an hour ago! I know I said I was leaving three days ago. It is a long story. And no I am not that slow of a driver.

I am home sitting here with my puppies, the house feels strange as my DH is still way on business so it is a very very here. I am going to try reading back and catching up.
