What kind of set up do you have for your table?

A real desk? (What do you store in those little drawers?)

A folding table? (Can you store any organizers under them?)

How does it work for you? Is it big enough for you?

Right know (just moving my stuff to a permant area in the basement) I have an old kitchen table and it is square and too small, IMO. I have some credit and I am thinking of getting those HUGE long white folding tables (I want to get 2 and 2 office chairs so I have room for a friend) they have at BJs, Walmart, etc...

I am also thinking about getting a 3rd long white folding table to put my Printer, Criciut, computer and Your Story on. Right now they are on my sewing area and my sewing machine is packed away and I need to get it back out soon for a project for my DD. Plus the area all the stuff is placed on is really tight and no room for 3 things to work at once, KWIM

Any suggestions what to do with a limited budget and TONS of space to spread out (unfinished basement I share with the girls playroom and storae area)?

If you have the space the non folding tables from BJ's are alot sturdier and you wont have to deal with the crack in the middle. I'd go that route. especially if you can have room for 2-3 and the nice desk chairs that roll.

I have my set up with a table in front that I scrap on and the table behind that my cricut is on (although that just moved to the end of my scrap table) all my supplies are in the one behind me so I "sit an spin" works great for me.

Now being a basement you may find that plastic drawer work well or the jet max cubes. for underneath your biggest issue will be the support brackets for the legs. I'd suggest that you measure them and then see what type of space you have to work with. also what you keep out on your table top how can that work on that type of a table.

Good luck. and make sure to post pics.

I have 2 four foot resin tables in the middle of mine and a craft desk/table against the wall. I also have a 5 shelf bookcase, another cabinet and shelf combo, and 4 tier shelf with fabric bins Oh and a 4 drawer dresser. I love having space where I can leave work in progress and come back to it any time I want and shut the door on the mess!. The 2 tables are in the middle kind of like a T shape and we work on one and have the cricut and gypsy set up on the other. My DD2 and I can both work in there comfortably and move around to the various spaces. It is just a regular size spare bedroom but we can put our hands on anything we need. Organization is the key to succesful crafting for sure!!

I have the 4x4 Ikea Expedit shelf and the desk that attaches to it. I can store a 4 drawer Ikea cart underneath with no wheels and I had to take the top off. But those 4 drawers hold my scraps, my kids school projects that I save for their school scrapbooks and some page kits. Works great for me.

A little update, I spent the last 2 days shopping online and in many of stores looking for the right table. After buying and returning 2 (one time one was broken and the other time the 1 was too big for the space) different ones I think I finally got the sizes I wanted (I really like the long ones that dont fold, thanks for the tip!) for my floor space.

Not sure how I am going to leave them set up, I keep moving them around and around:rotfl: but I love it! I have 2 tables to work on (1 for me and 1 for a DD or friend) and 1 table for the computer and cricut. So my final total is 3, 4 foot tables and the 2 office chairs I had mentioned before and the TON of BTS plastic organizers from Walmart and the few white ones I had before.

Got to get Dh phone to take pictures and link to FB.

so glad you found something that works! enjoy setting it up and using it
