Setting up a Wii

I'm trying to set my new wii up and i really don't get it. Followed the instructions to a T and i seem to have no picture on the tv screen. I've tried plugging the scart lead directly into the tv, ive tried the sky box with a scart lead leading from the sky box to the tv, can anyone help please?? My tv has only one scart hole and ive tried looking through the channels etc

Have you got an AV button on your remote or TV?

With the Wii plugged directly into the TV SCART press the AV button to swap between aerial input and SCART input.

I've tried every button on the remote and nothing seems to work, i can hear thw wii running, just cant see a picture.

My brother has suggested putting off the power on the sky box, if it is plugged into the tv.

I have no clue!!!! Hope it works!

KAC2005's brother is right - If you have something else using the AV channel on your TV it will need to be switched off before the Wii will work. Same as I have to turn off my Sky+ to be able to watch something on my DVD player.

Have you actually found the AV channel?

right it seems to work now, it was the sky box after all!! Thanks for all ur help!

Erm i've decided so far i'd be a fab boxer, a terrible tennis player and that i should be the bowler not the batter if i was playing baseball!!!

If anyone has a any good game recommendations i'd be grateful! Normally i play the sim games on the pc and i have got my eye on sims castaway but might wait till it comes on pc, any other ideas? Might get the games after xmas.
